"I visited your el campo Texas store and was in the store for 45 minutes. I was browsing looking at all the tools and getting an idea of what kind of tools and supplies I would need to get for the projects on my car. I ended up buying $100 worth of items: obd scanner, socket wobble, trim tools, power steering fluid and adhesive for rubber trim. I had been asked numerous times if I needed help, but I didn't need help finding things and I was looking at my options. As I paid I was approached by 3 police officers under suspicion of shop lifting. I started crying, and I had to tell them that my father had just passed away, he passed away on Christmas and we buried him on New Year's Day, and I felt like shit that it looked like I was using my dads death as an excuse!! I would have much rather been confronted by the staff and had them search my purse than have 3 officers with 3 cars confront me. My dad was a master mechanic and now that he's gone we will have to do our own repairs and figure that stuff out in our own. It was really upsetting that it made me feel like I was using my fathers death as a pity excuse. Of course I returned everything I bought as I waited for my name to be run and them to find nothing suspicious that came up. I will never go to this store again. I would have much rather been confronted than have the cops called on me. I don't need any response, in fact I would rather not be contacts at all, but I do feel better having complained.
