Last time in the UK we rented a car at Heathrow from a car rental company that shall remain nameless but starts with an EU and ends with Car. It was not good, really not good, so we vowed, never again. This time we set up the rental from the enterprise rent a car in New Jersey in the US to be picked up in Slough in the UK. It was painless with one small exception, that constant trying to sell you insurance when your credit card pays for all that as a bonus for having the card. Double check your card before you go, but they all seem to do this, I suppose they have to, but it's just plain annoying. But returning the car was a dream! The young woman who helped us with the return was delightful and wish we had gotten her name, but she was very personable, sincerely helpful, and though a bit out of their normal area for dropping you off, she very kindly agreed to drive us to the friends home where we were staying in Windsor. What a pleasure to work with normal people. It was Sunday afternoon when we returned. We asked for an extra hour to get the car back, they readily agreed. And I hope she reads this because this was such a contrast from the other rental car company. We were there Sunday, May 8. Enterprise, you should encourage and promote employees with such people skills. I will use enterprise anytime and recommend them to anyone. read more

A great branch of Enterprise run by a dynamic young team, very professionally spoken, well dressed and polite. Smooth experience from start to finish, on-time, easy process to pick up and drop off car, and they offer a ride to/from their office on weekdays. Car was in very good shape, with good comfort and features. I had to make changes to my booking and they were very accommodating and reassuring. Phone line was sometimes busy (understandable) but once connected they were very accessible by phone. If you want to rent a car for outside London, this is a good choice. read more
