If I could give 0 stars I would... don't recommend Ashland ky enterprise. This is not my first altercation with them as I had previously returned a rental in which the handle/lock had fallen off the glove compartment in which I had my insurance/receipts for car services/ and registration for my personal car, etc. When I spoke to the employee about it he couldn't figure out how to access my papers and told me he would further investigate and contact me with an update. Weeks went by and I never heard anything. I revisited the store and talked to the manager who personally assured me she would do what she could to retrieve my lost items. They said the car was in the shop and the mechanic would try and open the compartment. Again some time went by and I never heard back from enterprise. My mom and I both revisited the store to get an update and we were told they were still trying. Today was the most recent visit I had with them and I was told by the manager that they could not access my lost papers. The second and most frustrating incident was about two weeks ago when My boyfriend left his wallet containing very important documents and a large sum of cash in my rental. We returned the car to bowman's auto in Flatwoods, ky. An employee from Ashland enterprise came to pick up the vehicle and drive it back. When we returned home he could not find his wallet. We have been to enterprise several times and spoke to the manager who said she would do her best to help but never contacted us to update on the situation like she said she would. There were two other employees that we talked to multiple times who claimed they would do everything they could to find the wallet. They all ensured us that the car had been thoroughly cleaned and the wallet was never found. The car was immediately rented to someone on a 2 day one-way rental to Virginia. They tracked the car and contacted the person renting it and asked if they would look for the wallet. No one ever got back to us on that. At this point we accepted that the wallet was lost. We went on vacation a few days later and canceled all the cards in his wallet and closed bank accounts. He forgot to cancel a credit karma card that had $0.67 on it. He was checking his records to make sure no one had been using his cards and he found a transaction for a Taco Bell in Ashland, ky (where we reside). Today we went into the Ashland location and spoke to the manager once again and told her about the recent transaction. She told us that they are in no way responsible for lost items, we most likely left the wallet somewhere else and basically told us that she couldn't help us. We know for a fact the wallet was left in the rental car. We suspect that one of the employees found his wallet and was being dishonest. We are prepared to take legal action if needed. I have also spoke to customer service on the phone and they assured me that they would further investigate and reach out to me soon but I doubt they will. No one seems to be taking us serious about this issue. read more

Absolutely awful service. Tried to pin damage on me that was there before I received the rental. They never did a full walk around. Then they decided to argue with us about it instead of just giving us the information we needed to dispute the claim. If you have to rent a car here TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING. It's rare to find such an outstanding business in our area that always has exactly what I want or need. The employees are great, easy to work with, and I've been 100% satisfied so far. They are very friendly and accommodating. It didn't take long to esrn my free rental, which was helpful when I needed a rental last minute. Once I had a car with a radio that didn't work. I was heading to Michigan and they offered to swap out the vehicle but I didn't want to delay getting my trip started. The person checking the car back in with me took a day's worth of my 4 day rental off for the inconvenience. I was very happy with that solution. read more

I use Enterprise for the majority of my rentals for both business and leisure. Recently rented a mini van for a family vacation. Service was great as usual, but after we drove away we noticed that the van smelled of cigarette smoke. The previous renter obviously didn't pay attention to the NO SMOKING sign on the dash. We were too close on time to go back and get an exchange, so we filled the van with air freshener and went on our way. I did complain when I returned it, but the service rep just said that they do their best to clean them upon return but once the smell gets in it takes a long time to get it out. I will continue to use Enterprise, however from now on I plan to arrive early and check out my rental before completing the contract, in case there might be other options if not satisfied. read more
