At first, I was a little apprehensive about retaining an attorney during COVID-19 since everything is handled virtually and certified family law specialists are expensive. After speaking with Tess about my case, I was confident that she had the ability to help me navigate my contentious legal situation... even during COVID-19. Tess is an expert communicator via phone and video teleconference and has proven to be a highly-skilled lawyer... in-person and virtually! Tess has a very pleasant personality and helped make a very unpleasant family law situation far more palatable. Her staff, Esmerelda and Michelle, are also very skilled, nice and helpful! If you need an expert family law attorney... I recommend the Law Offices of Tess Reutzel! Thanks for all your help! Gary

My Ex tried to scare me with some crazy lawsuit and when she realized I wasn't going to fold she came to her senses and we settled. Literally zero Lawyer work, it happened between the two of us. Well when the team at the law firm realized we had just come to an agreement I was hit with an immediate $5000 invoice. I thought "what do you mean? I am sure there is stuff to file but it's done". It was a $7500 retainer followed by discovery i.e. her paralegal calling me threatening me with "you know Mr. Carroll if we don't do all of this she could go for more" - to another invoice for txt and emails - to them basically extorting me for $5000 to finish the case. I did it myself and they still have the nerve to keep sending the invoice.........Did I mention that I spent $10000 and was never given an ounce of legal advice and I never even spoke to the lawyer?? So I am sure if your one of the real deep pocket people you can talk to her but not us regular folk.

The judge awarded me sole custody of all gender-related care for my teen when my ex rejected allowing our child to change their name and gender marker and receive gender-affirming care. * Kelli went above and beyond to ensure a fair and equitable division of assets, reasonable child support (for me), and spousal support (for my ex). In addition to the above, Kelli was emotionally supportive, cheering our successes and consoling our losses. She celebrated with us when my teen's revised birth certificate, social security card, and driver's license arrived.

She agreed and said, they would contact me and would add a note on the file. That was the only reason why I went with the firm. I felt there was a mutual understanding so i decided to hire Garwood Reeves to represent me. When the retainer was exhausted, no one contacted me, they just sent a bill saying I owed them $$ XX since the retainer was exhausted. Invoices included inaccuracies. - they billed me for "calls" that did not occur. I keep screenshots of all of the calls to record the date and time. - 3 minute calls turned into .5 or more of billable work - 5 minute calls turned into 1 hour billable work. and that rate is at least $450 per hour After months of not talking, they sent me 2 additional invoices for services which I was not aware they were performing. I explained we hadn't talked for months and they had told me months ago we were done. And to top it off, a year later, I self-represented. They got wind I re-opened the case. they sent me a bill for over $2,000 for services I never approved. I was not even aware they were providing services for me. They never called me to discuss the matter. I am baffled. Luckily, I had an email from one year ago asking them to stop billing me (after the 2 invoice) and stop providing services. I am hoping they remove the bill from 2025 because I had specifically stated to stop providing services in 2024. This feels unethical. In hindsight, I feel misled by Emma Slattery so that I can be represented by Garwood. I feel taken advantage of. Also by looking at the several reviews, I am starting to see a pattern i believe that this is typical practice to rack up the billing. Either she is doing this because she's gaining commissions or she is practicing based on the company leadership. But regardless, it is not good. Several phone conversations that I had with her are null and void. She does not recall that I verbally told her several times to stop providing services in 2024. And then in 2025 I told her at least two times that I was self representing. Never did she mention that her company was working on my case . To it resulting in me getting invoiced for over $2000 for services that I was never aware of. My understanding is that we were done with them representing me in 2024.

Leigh Galyon is 110% professional, fully knowledgeable in current law & case law. Leigh Galyon…read moreknows justice & seeks to guarantee that justice to her clients in all cases! Leigh Galyon easily sifts through irrational and illogical or legally suspect documents to lay down the proper legal information to combat the wishful thinking & clarify to the opposing legal team and the judge what legal decisions should prevail. Leigh Galyon has saved me 3 times to date. I have asked her to always be my lawyer so long as my case continues & she has said she'll be there! From a lawyer as popular & busy as Leigh Galyon, that is a true blessing. I will always go to Leigh & I would recommend her to anyone facing troubles with family law. Thank you Leigh. Being represented by Leigh Galyon has been fully responsible for my keeping both calm & maintaining a standard of living that can support me. I first hired Leigh during my divorce in 2012. My husband & his friends were doing everything possible to push me over the edge mentally & make getting basic justice impossible. Leigh Galyon dug into the court information & reviewed my history & the history of my marriage. She sat down & layed out a legal, just & sound plan to attain my rights as a spouse in a long term marriage. Despite the bluster & threats from my husband & his lawyer, she secured my right to 1/2 of the family holdings, secured alimony that would support my basic living & medical needs & put a mutual no contact in place. It took 3 1/2 years, because for every legal, just & logical response or request Leigh entered to the court his lawyers would come back with excessive illogical replies. But Leigh stuck with me the whole time, reminding me of her plan for the case & submitting any required documents to the courts. Leigh and her staff also took time to listen to my fears & worries, helping me deal with the unrealistic bluster from the petitioner. The whole time Leigh worked with the laws & reason, ignoring illogical & illegal rambling to clearly inform the judge of the only proper path that could be taken! The final settlement turned out to meet my needs, exactly as Leigh had originally predicted! I was delirious with relief & profound gratefulness and respect to Leigh Galyon & her support staff! Second time I had to call on Leigh was only about a year later when my ex-husband started threatening to come take 1/2 of the assets I was granted in the settlement. He was basing this on paperwork written by his lawyers that WAS NOT ACCEPTED by the court and directly in opposition to the real settlement document. Leigh got right on it, reviewed the official settlement & sent off the legal notifications that he was not allowed to badger me & that he had zero right to anything in my half of the divided assets. That was a clear example of how Leigh Galyon works with the law, justice & reason to settle situations quickly and efficiently. I had to contact Leigh Galyon again in April of 2021 when my ex-husband & his lawyers sent a request to modify spousal support. He argued his hugely increased income no longer allowed him to pay alimony, and that after paying for eight years he should be free of the alimony requirements. Leigh went to bat for me. She compiled my living expenses, the lack of change in my health & my continued disability, as well as his increase in income and future options compared to the small amount I live on. She also applied the current laws, case law, our settlement ruling & basic sense and justice to the court & to his lawyer. My ex-husband & his lawyer were issuing such complete nonsense in their documents & in front of the judge, that Leigh doubled down on the law, case law and justice & explained in no uncertain terms the only decision that would be just in this situation. Leigh secured my current situation & has likely kept me free of farther motions for the foreseeable future! So again, with my surest & strongest voice I repeat.... Leigh Galyon is 110% professional, fully knowledgeable in current law & case law. Leigh Galyon knows justice & seeks to guarantee that justice to her clients in all cases! I will always call Leigh Galyon if a situation arrises & I reccomend her to anyone seeking their rights in a family law situation. Gena L Domangue-Tyznik
