We were looking for a well rated restaurant that also had a large wine selection. We saw good ratings for Enoteca Nanut Trieste. When you enter the wine bar you would not know that they offer meals. The wine bar is the main focus. The indoor tables are somewhat hidden in the back of the building. It is a fun and casual seating area since you are seated next to the large wine inventory, including the case boxes. The owner clearly is extremely knowledgeable regarding all of the local wines. We sampled a few local white wines before ordering dinner. I had a wonderful pan fried fish special, my wife had a pasta recommendation. We also shared a nice dessert. Enoteca Nanut was an amazing find during our trip to Trieste! While looking for a place to taste local wines, I was sent here and the owner was friendly and spoke very good english. He explained several local wines, gave us some freshly made bread, and freshly sliced meats. That was THE best bread I have ever had. Everything was reasonable, and I wish I had gone back for a meal.
