They have dozens of different ways to get involved, from serving dinner at shelters, to growing food in the garden, to knitting blankets for Duke Hospital, to the Stephen MInistry to help fellow parishioners, etc. I saw another reviewer write that the church has no pews. That is false. The front of the church definitely has pews; the rear of the church which serves as a multipurpose area has moveable chairs. Frankly, if you are choosing a church based on kneelers or the architecture -- instead of the priest staff and fellow parishioners -- maybe this church isn't for you. If you want to get involved and serve God and your community, I recommend this church. PS, they are breaking ground for a brand new building probably to be completed in 2020 or 2021.

The last thing I was told by my wife was to be there at 2:00 to take photos beforehand. I was spending time before the wedding with my family from out of town. I left everyone to get ready for the wedding, when I got there at 2pm the wedding was almost over. When I called them to tell them it was over, and that I missed everything except the kiss and introduction as husband and wife, they were all furious. Myself included. Not very thoughtful of the priest in this situation. What a total screw up. I feel as though I should be compensated for 2 hotel rooms for 2 nights and the gas for 3 vehicles that drove a total of 12 hours to get here and back for a wedding that they couldn't attend.
