Lack of response to patient…read more My PCP sent a referral for pain in my foot. I had been cared for by the location in Boulder previously for hip pain. I understand that doctors have the right to refuse to provide service (based on the insurance). However, sure would have been nice for someone to call and let me know. At a minimum, send me a letter. Instead, after living in excruciating pain for 2-weeks without so much as a call, I phoned to be told that Dr Wagner doesn't accept my insurance. REALLY?! What happened to customer service? Just goes to show that the world continues to go down the drain and doctors are right there too.

In addition I explicitly told him to focus and rework the tricep muscle in both failed surgeries. He forgot that as I sit here in my hotel room, I just finished third surgery with another local surgeon. The moment I told them I wanted a second opinion elsewhere, they canceled me as a patient as it turns out the new surgeon fix the problem. Bottom line I would never be sitting in this hotel room right now if Brain P Davis did his job, do NOT believe it's World class surgeon services. Regardless of his bowtie on or not and proceed with caution. Oh, and by the way, I'm still paying off those failed surgeries. Make sure you do your homework before seeing Brain P Davis.

I'm sharing my experience in the hope it helps others make informed decisions…read more I initially had a positive experience at Boulder Regenerative Orthopedics. The first physician I worked with, Dr. Cummings, recommended starting conservatively with PRP and shockwave therapy. That treatment appeared to be effective--particularly in reducing tightness and scar tissue in my IT band. After that physician left the practice, my care transitioned to the primary doctor/owner, Dr. Mazzola. At that point, I was strongly encouraged to pursue stem cell therapy, which was presented as highly effective--particularly for healing tears and restoring function. Based on those discussions, I moved forward with the procedure, with the understanding that it could significantly improve my condition. Unfortunately, my experience did not match those expectations. One year later, after stem cell therapy, following the post-treatment protocol, daily PT, and deep tissue massage, follow-up imaging has shown no improvement, and in some respects, my condition appears to have worsened. In addition, the treatment was very costly and not covered by insurance, making the lack of results especially difficult. I want to be clear that regenerative medicine is a developing field, and outcomes may vary. However, I believe it's important for patients to have a balanced understanding of the limitations, uncertainty, and variability of stem cell treatments, particularly given the financial investment involved. If you are considering this route, I would strongly encourage: Seeking multiple medical opinions Asking for evidence specific to your condition Carefully weighing expected outcomes against cost There may be value in some of the more conservative therapies offered, based on my earlier experience. But I would urge caution and thorough due diligence before proceeding with more advanced and expensive interventions.

Dr. Mazzola is incredible. He's the guy to see for any orthopedic injury. He's a miracle worker.read more

As the chosen…read moreacupuncturist for her field, I noted that she was exceedingly knowledgeable about what she does and she uses a triggerpoint specific, problem focused method of treating her patients. As a doctor myself, I have been treated by her for swelling in a previously broken ankle and a hip flexor tendonitis issue that I have had repeatedly pop up after long runs. Allison has not only truly aided myself but I have referred over many patients with repeated muscle tone issues, arthritis, and degenerative issues in knees and wrists that I cannot aid. I must say that she has helped better (with less side effects) than any corticosteroid injection or massage could do. I know because I do deep tissue work and she can melt a difficult knot in moments. Because of this, she is invited into my medical tent anytime and is one of my favorite peers. I wish I had read reviews on Dr. Shah before going to see him. I was in enough pain that I ignored…read moremy rule of "if you can get an appointment in one day, nobody wants this doctor". The moment he walked in he was standoffish, and judgmental. I felt like he was sitting on his empire chair looking down his nose at me. I kept an open mind until the end of the appointment which lasted all of maybe 15 minutes and how I felt did not change. I think it is interesting that Dr. Shah has been receiving similar reviews to mine for at least the past 5 years on Google and he is still there doing the same things. So either he is a medical genius which I doubt based on my experience or Orthopedic & Spine Center of the Rockies - Lafayette doesn't really care about feedback and it is just a step in a process. He guessed at my condition, barely examined me and prescribed medication he never called in. His feedback of "I think the pain is coming from your neck rather than your shoulders but I am not going to X-ray your neck since I've already got X rays of your shoulders" left me confused. When I asked what the cause of the pain might be he said "most likely arthritis in your neck but you are too young to have it". Contradictory much? So either he didn't believe I was in pain, or just flat out didn't care. I have no clue how the other doctors in the practice are but will never go back because of Dr. Shah. Some unsolicited advice: patients in pain come in to get support, relief and a doctor who cares (even if you don't, at least have the decency to fake it). What we don't need is to be minimized. Thank you.
