Maria cares for you as a person. Like a person in pain who needs help. Like the way healers are supposed to treat people, but rarely do. I have been going to Maria for 17 years now. She has brought me out of serious and dangerous pain many, many times. I am deeply indebted to her for the work she has done on my injuries and medical problems! Maria is very dedicated to her craft, and is always there when I need her (not like some practitioners who are more concerned with their own schedule than if you are in real pain and need help ASAP). If some injury gets aggravated or worse and you are in pain? You call up a doctor, or even a natural health person to get treated...and it is as if you are an annoyance to them and you work for them, you have to fit into their needs, even though you are the one screaming in agony. Maria understands pain. If you are in some real pain, she drops everything and gets you help, there, when you need it. And that is all too rare in today's world. The first visit she gave me tests to measure my mobility and range of motion. I remember she said "we have a lot to work on". After about six months, I was pain free. She used many different techniques in her therapy. These included pressure point therapy, Thai stretching and the use of hot and cold creams. She offered me her prenatal massage services at a discount price which was was awesome. I saw her from week 24 until I gave birth. The location: I went to the Manhattan office conveniently located in the Flatiron district. The area was clean and serene. Temperatures are checked and Rebecca wore a mask during our sessions. The massage: I wish it lasted forever. As someone who was pregnant and working at a hospital in the middle of the pandemic, these massages were heaven at the end of a busy work day.
