I was referred here by my dental office when I needed an emergency root canal, and they got me in the very same day. I saw Dr. Mark Magura and his assistant Brandi, and they were beyond amazing. Brandi is so personable, genuinely caring, and you can tell she has a true passion for what she does. She explained everything ahead of time, made sure I was always comfortable, and had such a reassuring presence throughout the process. Dr. Magura is absolutely fantastic--gentle, caring, and exceptionally skilled. He explained every step before and during the procedure, and his knowledge and precision made me feel completely at ease. He was able to take care of my tooth quickly and effectively. So, first thing first, Dr Aneziris is PHENOMENAL. His staff is amazing, and I would recommend this office 1,000,000 time over. I am a Type 1 Diabetic, and have a severe fear of the dentist. During my appointment, I stressed and hyperventilated myself into a hypoglycemic episode, and the girl assisting the Dr took such amazing care of me and found Instaglucose, soda, and applesauce and made sure I was okay before starting the root canal. She seriously went above and beyond for me. I cannot begin to express how appreciative I am for Dr Aneziris and for how well he walked me through what was going on. I was curious if 3D imaging would help identify the random tooth pain that would come and go on two opposing teeth. I would make an appointment here and then cancel it a week later when the pain went away. Today I finally showed up and I'm really glad I did. Dr Corns and his tech Odalyse were personable and professional and walked me through my 3D scans. He identified that I actually have 4 roots to the two teeth in question so we decided to start the root canal on the right one the same day. The pain on the left was due to the 4th small root being missed in a root canal done 5 years ago. Outside of the first needle for anesthesia, there was no pain in the ensuing 2 needles. He spoke through each step before it occurred and in about a half hour it was all said and done. I will be back to get the left root canal fixed. Dr. Emily Smythe and her team at St. John Oral Surgery 10815 Park Pl Saint John, IN 46373-0436 could not have been better! They helped me in a time of great need, when I required a tooth implant, had an emergency with an infection, and my regular dentist/endo couldn't get me in for months. They saw me the SAME DAY and literally saved my life! She and her team are also incredibly attentive, kind, gentle, and make sure there is plenty of numbing so no pain. 5 stars for a root canal! I know, I can't believe I just wrote that. Dr. Aneziris was amazing! He explained everything (unlike so many other dentists and it's surgeons I've been to). He really cared about whether I was uncomfortable, and took his time with the numbing, so I had zero pain. And it took just 30 minutes (mine was uncomplicated). What a relief! If all oral surgeons were like Dr. Aneziris, "root canal" would not strike terror into people's hearts anymore. read more

I came in for a retreat on a root canal and was seen by Dr. Corns. He did a great job at taking care of all my concerns as well as making me feel as comfortable as possible. It is very difficult to find doctors like Dr. Corns that take the time to touch basis on all of your concerns and actually take care of them. If you ever need a root canal.....you couldn't pick a better place. Dr Robert Corns has a great bedside manner. He is kind and compassionate. He treats the ladies in the office with respect. The whole team is professional and compassionate. If you are a nervous dental patient, this is the team to see. I told them I'm mildly claustrophobic and sometimes struggle with dental work. He talked to me the entire procedure. They kept checking to make sure I was comfortable. Unfortunately, I've had a lot of dental work done over the years. I've been going to Endodontics for years, I'm a pretty easy going person and get along with dr. Magura very well... every time I call in the receptionist gives me snide attitude... I called this time about a billing matter and was charged $125 for me telling him I wanted an implant and without even touching my mouth outright charged me $125 which none was reimbursed... I knew what I wanted before I went in and paid $125 for absolutely no service.... 10 minute consultation, that's more than attorney fees, and absolutely nothing was done... kudos to the chick who is miserable at her job and with customer courtesy... not professional nor reasonable.... will not be back read more

I had a wonderful first experience at Endodontic Inc. in Merrillville. Dr. Aneziris and his assistant took the time to visually display an x-ray of my infected tooth, showed me why the root canal was necessary, and explained the entire root canal process. One other unique aspect of Dr. Aneziris' treatment was that he listened to my concerns and discomforts regarding two previous root canal procedures. He assured me that he would make the process for me as comfortable as possible. Well, I can honestly say, on a scale of 1 - 5, Dr. Aneziris exceeded 5. The Doctors come highly recommended. However, the staff including the office manager at the Merrillville location is either blinded by her staff and their antics or she needs a lesson in courtesy and how to deal with the public along with her rude staff. The Doctors may be highly recommended, but dealing with the staff is not worth my patience or money. When I asked about their office consultation policy, the employee responded with the fee and then said, "what, did you think we were going to do this for free?" No, I didn't, but there definitely was a way to answer my question and that was not it. If you decide that you want to encounter their extremely rude and nasty staff, ask all the questions you can and be prepared for rude and impolite people. I wish the Doctors knew how their staff treated employees. read more

My husband develop a gum infection following his procedure. When we called the receptionist instead of connecting us to the doctor or conferring with him and calling us back, she instructed my husband on how to clean the area. My Husband had been doing that for a week. She instructed us to contact our regular dentist and suggested we move up our appointment with our regular doctor. We were not happy with the follow up support and will not use Endodontics again. read more

My husband just had an appointment this morning that the office staff conveniently got him. He had an emergency due to an abscess. We were in the ER twice and turned away from two other dentists and the VA for not having insurance. This is a very unexpected expense for us and we couldn't really afford to get this fixed.
