Dré, Chatauna and the entire team facilitated a seamless transition from beginning to end. The ease of communication, the attentive and efficient system they have in place is exceptional - and that was how it was throughout our entire stay. Our maintenance requests were always taken care of right away. If we didn't buy a house, I would have loved to live here forever. The Amesbury itself is the best complex in all of Greensboro. Plenty of parking, a gym, pool access, pet-friendly, security alarms in your apartment, washer & dryer connections, gated. It's centrally located, well-maintained and safe. Even the postman and main UPS delivery person assigned to the complex were amazing and looked out for our packages! It really is a community here and doesn't get any better. I loved our neighbors and yes, you might be able to hear some noise if you're living downstairs but this is an apartment complex, not a house; it's to be expected. My wife and I moved into this new Apartment community about 5 months ago. The management staff of…read moreMeredith Frye, Maggie Cummings and Karen Little are exceptional ambassadors of this repurposed building. Every detail was not fully completed, but those that were far exceeded our expectations. The apartments with their 23' high ceilings and nearly floor to ceiling windows showcase the floors and original brickwork gave you a feeling of age but with all of the modern conveniences. But my favorite parts of the apartments were the cleanliness of the hallways during the finishing of the construction of the other Apt. units, and the Community get together's, St. Patrick's day, Cinco de Mayo, Football games, and most recently National Doughnut day with duck doughnuts. The staff must just think of interesting things for the residents to do and get them done. Sadly, we are moving out of this wonderful environment and into a new home to us. We will miss the fabulous building and all it's amenities, watching Natty Greene's prepare for the grand opening, the newly opened first class fitness center, the courtyard's grand opening but most especially the people that work and maintain this property. They genuinely care about what they do and what they can do to make your residential life a memorable experience. In case you can't tell from this review, these last five months have been exceptional.

Although I do not own a pet, the apartment was covered in pet hair upon move-in. My child has allergies to cat hair, dog hair, and roaches, which made these conditions especially concerning. Despite raising these issues with management, roach sightings continued repeatedly throughout our stay. To clarify, just because an apartment is pet-friendly doesn't mean pet hair should be left behind. I've always lived in pet-friendly apartments and could never tell whether the previous resident had a pet or not. For it to cause health concerns for my child, the amount of hair must have been excessive--and in this case, it absolutely was. I even purchased a pet-specific vacuum, but it still couldn't remove all the hair. My carpet was professionally cleaned twice through a company contracted by City View, yet pet hair remained throughout the apartment. The complex uses Terminix for pest control, but the roach problem persisted. The first time I saw a roach, I went to the leasing office the very next business day. I spoke with Crystal, the property manager, and showed her a photo I had taken. She looked at it and said, "That's an American roach, which is common in apartments." I've never had roaches in any home I've lived in, and I didn't even know there were different types until I moved here. I've also attached a few of the mass emails that were sent to residents during my time there. Overall, my experience at City View was horrible from day one.

The maintenance guys are great to work with and are very responsive to problems. Their is a very clean, very nice pool area. There is a very well kept doggie play ground. The dog area has become a social gathering place. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer placer to settle down permanently or temporarily. I must add, when you read the negative reviews for the most part they are written by people who did not follow the rules, abused the complex, abused their own apartments.
