Why do you go to church? What are you looking for in a "home-church"? If you are looking for a…read morechurch that will preach a lie to you, a worldly view, just so that you can feel good about the sins in your life,, this isn't the church for you. NOW, if you want a church that preaches a message that aligns with the Word of God, regardless of your feelings, giving you the truth, this is the church for you. The question is, why do you want to attend church? #truth #conviction #WordOfGod #repentance #transformation #churchfamily #purpose. All you haters out there giving poor reviews & you call yourselves Christian's? Repent before it's too late. I am praying for the veil to be removed from your eyes and your hearts. The Holy Spirit is moving here and I don't know about you, but wherever God is, is right where I want to be.

The presence of Jesus is here. That is what the Church should be about. Having a physical Bible…read morebook "looks good" for the congregation. But reading and studying scripture via smartphone also pleases the Lord who sees all. Church is an opportunity to gather in unity to worship God. Opportunity: Sunday morning is just one moment - don't let it be the only moment. Unity: there is strength in numbers - we were created for community. Worship: what you give to God (shouts of praise, music, dance, honor, offerings, tithes, service, time, etc) - these are a pleasing aroma to our Father. Attention American Christians: let us not be so focused on what we can consume from the Church, as our consumerism society focuses on. Bible teaching is present, but I'm not going to wait for Sunday morning to feed. I'm going to the Word today, lest I starve! I believe this Church, made up of sinners who need God's grace (like you and me), creates a space for the Holy Spirit to reside. Press into Him. Nothing else matters. Wherever you attend on any day of the week, seek Jesus. Press into His presence. He will show up and show you what you need.

It is one that everyone should check out at least once. It is quite a drive from Minneapolis, however if you plan accordingly, you can easily spend half the day here exploring the place and participating in the activities here. You don't have to be a Hindu believer to visit the temple. In fact, you can learn a lot about Hinduism and learn through interacting with the believers there. Start off your weekend with a yoga class at 8am at the temple and then take the free temple tour after that. The yoga is good as it is pretty intense. It is not all meditative as you would expect at a religious site, but it has a good balance of both a workout routine and relaxation. At around noon, the cafeteria also serves really affordable vegetarian food so do stay for that. An interesting fact that the tour guide shared with us is that this temple is the only one in the world where all kinds of gods in the Hindu belief reside in one room. How cool! They even have an altar for the Jain believers. It was a very pleasant visit. The temple is clean and the people are friendly and kind. There are plans to expand the grounds surrounding the temple to include a community center, a yoga retreat center, staff housing and elderly home. Stay tune!

This is a very welcoming place and they didn't bat an eyelash at my very very white boyfriend coming with me. The priests are all very kind and the energy here is gorgeous. I am glad to have been introduced to the temple and I look forward to every pooja I go to.

Pastor Heather does such a great job at delivering the messages and helping plan things. The tables are set up in a way where you can sit with the same ladies each time or join a new table. I was introduced to Living Word in February 1991 through my then-girlfriend. She attended services…read morethere and invited me to go with her one Sunday morning. It reminded me of a service I might see on TV (later finding out the church just begun broadcasting on a local station). Pastor Mac encouraged first-time visitors to come back again "to take a more accurate measure of us as a church." The next two times I went to Living Word, I still resisted the altar call for salvation. Coming from a traditional Lutheran background, I was a bit uncomfortable in a Full Gospel atmosphere. Then on March 19 of that year, my sister and her husband led me to the Lord at their home in Fargo, North Dakota. Two days later, I met with a pastor from their church. He recommended visiting two fellowships he knew about in the Twin Cities area. One of them was Living Word. Soon I attended membership classes there and decided to make it my home church. For the next two years, I put my audio recording skills to use by volunteering in Living Word's tape ministry. Having access to the church's cassette library helped me grow as a Christian. I listened to numerous sermon tapes at home, at work, and in my car. In addition to Pastor Mac, I heard messages from associate pastors plus guest speakers such as Dwight Thompson, Willie George, Jerry Savelle, Jesse Duplantis, and Kenneth Copeland. Their teachings built my confidence in God's promises of healing and prosperity as well as eternal life in heaven. After a temporary move to the Chicago area, I returned to the Twin Cities in early 1994. By this time, my friend Steve had become a leader in Living Word's evangelism ministry and invited me to go street witnessing with them on Monday nights. The Lord had already put it in my heart to share my faith more. At the end of 1995, the Lord led me to become an usher. After doing that for twelve months, I stepped down to focus more on evangelism. Eventually, the Lord led me to leave Living Word and become a full-time missionary. In recent years, the Lord has led me to return to the Twin Cities area for extended stays. Although I've worked with other churches in the area, I still attend services at Living Word and join them for evangelism outreaches. The church has changed since I first started going there. For example, the worship musicians were (in my opinion) a bit stuffy doing inspirational songs I mostly didn't care for. Now they have a more modern sound with added visual effects. Living Word has expanded to include a Christian school, a chemical dependency treatment facility, and various other ministries. I'm thankful for Lynne Hammond's commitment to prayer and Mac giving up his airfreight business to pastor a church that has changed many lives. Until the Lord returns, I pray Living Word Christian Center continues having a positive influence upon the state of Minnesota and beyond.
