Maybe it is because there happens to be some rather inexpensive hotels here. Well, this one actually wasn't all that bad. Sure, the room was quite small, but then again I have somewhat come to accept that, particularly since I generally don't like to over pay for hotel rooms. The service was pretty good, and the wifi was actually quite good. Oh, and the place wasn't all that far away from the inner city, as well as Roma Street Station, which makes it somewhat easy to get to the airport. Also, despite the heat, the rooms were also quite cool as well. This place actually wasn't all that bad, though they don't have any breakfast facilities.

I lived in Vida for two years, and my experience with both Lara and Lawrence Faliu (of Pointcorp)…read morewas ubiquitously positive. Lara and Lawrence Faliu were excellent property managers, and made my experience living at Vida extremely pleasant. They were consistently easy and pleasant to communicate with. In addition, they were efficient in sorting problems that arose (mostly due to the poor construction materials used in the initial building process). They were also timely in completing all repairs. Lara and Lawrence (along with their team members, including Douglas and Alex, whom I interacted with most), are on site five days a week, and know the building inside and out. In the two years that I lived there, I consistently felt taken care of. This all said, my landlord (a foreign investor) chose to change management companies two months prior to my lease termination (to a company called "Image Property"). The latter experience was simply awful. Not only did Image ignore all of my repair requests, but they also billed me for repair work that they knew nothing about (eg., repairs that took place well before they managed my lease). Finally, although I left my apartment in perfect condition, they are taking legal action to keep my bond. If I can offer any concluding advice, it is to rent here, contingent on ensuring that you are managed by Lara and Lawrence Faliu (e.g., Pointcorp). They are excellent property managers, and companies like Image will make your life stressful. The building is beautiful, however, and the units are lovely. Best of luck in your search!

With stranger or complicated queries (such as an overpaid water bill) they were quick to contact everyone necessary to sort the issue out. Dave (I forget his last name) was always very helpful and whenever we called up about repairs or any matter in fact it was dealt with very speedily. Their office is in Toowong, a short walk around the corner from Toowong Village. However, for most things, RE/MAX either called, emailed or came to the house. It was only ever when I needed to drop of paperwork that I visited their office location. These guys were very easy to deal with and help keep the stress low when it comes to share housing, moving, repairs, and just general house worries.
