Since my original post we have spoken with the owner of Emergency Roadside who is a liar. He told us one thing and told AAA another story. I would never do business with these lying cheats again and I would never recommend them to anyone. They are horrible and refuse to accept responsibility for their actions. My vehicle broke down on the morning of May 11, 2017. I called AAA for service. I clearly indicated I needed "towing services" to the Havoline Store on Highway 31 in Alabaster. I was very specific about the service I needed. The tow truck driver arrived with an attitude. He scammed us on the mileage charge which is incidental in the big scheme of things. Upon arrival at he Havoline, Jeff of his own volition charged our battery, started the vehicle and drove it off the truck and around the parking area. He left a message on our voicemail sharing this information and stating all we needed was a battery which AAA would install for $140 and we'd be all set. The idiot started our vehicle despite being told we only wanted it towed and turned over to Jeremy at Havoline. Our water pump was shattered and there was no fluid in the engine. The moronic actions of the Emergency Roadside, LLC employee have perhaps caused permanent damage to our engine time will tell. In speaking with Emergency Roadside and they seemed non-too-concerned about ridiculously incompetent actions of their employee. AAA told us there'd be corrective action taken. All-in-all the experience was unnecessary, unprofessional, and contrary to the service requested. Emergency Roadside should be required to reimburse us for the repairs.
