I was feeling very stiff and out of alignment, and my Achilles heel was really bothering me, so I checked on YELP for a massage therapist, and Sawasdee Thai Massage popped up. I called and they told me to come by. I'm new to Huntington Beach, so I was totally surprised when the massage spa ended up close to my home, half a block away. A nice gentleman greeted me, and I did a one-page paperwork. I went over where my trouble spots were on my body, and the type of massage I would like. Jenny was my massage therapist, and we quickly reviewed things before starting the massage. Jenny is a very good masseuse; she really feels out your body and where the knots are, extremely intuitive. I got a combination Thai Swedish massage, Jenny also used some hot stones. She worked on my whole body and focusing on the troubled spot. In the middle of the massage, I thought she was going to turn me over to work on my front, but no, she brought a body pillow and turned me on my side. I've never had a masseuse do this before, and it was very effective because it could reach the shoulders and other areas. Jenny told me she does it to make her clients comfortable because it's hard to lay on your stomach for a long period of time. We came to the stretching portion of the massage, my whole back cracked, I felt such a relief, no more stiffness! I highly recommend this place. I walked in and spoke to Scott, the owner, and explained my dilemma and that I needed a neck & shoulder massage to focus on that ailing area. He assigned me to Patty and she was great. 1st time coming here! Very pleased with the place and service!! I brought my family with me. As soon as we walked in, the smell of spa greeted us. The place was very clean and I love that it's dimmed to help you set the mood for relaxation. We were welcomed by the owner. I love the information sheet provided so that we could mark the areas we need worked-on and customize it to our needs. The massage rooms are inviting. And the ambiance music was on point-really puts you in the relaxation mood. I'm also glad I decided to consent to stepping on my back because it really sets the tone for the rest of the massage. Kin was my masseuse and he did an amazing job! I also love that he had me smell an aromatherapy during the massage. Another thing about Thai massage is that it incorporates stretching and massage.
