It's one of the staples of Yeniköy. The food and the prices are ok and it's a sensible choice to have your breakfast, with the quintessential dish being menemen I think. However where this cafe excels in is the atmosphere, the service and the quality of people it attracts. You can people from all walks of life here, from the extremely rich elite to the middle class teacher. Everybody comes here to have their breakfast. It's a unique mishmash and for that worth visiting. I guess it has to do with it being a snippet of old Istanbul and feeling authentic. The tables, the decor, the waiters, everything feels authentic.
This isn't the sort of place you go for a culinary experience, you go here to sit down and enjoy your tea right next to Bosporus.
