Your lawn will look better if you stay away…read more
A technician who repeatedly lied about his communications with me, an owner who dismissed legitimate complaints, unannounced visits despite an agreement to call ahead, incomplete and ineffective treatments, weeds that were supposedly never covered, and a satisfaction guarantee that delivered neither satisfaction nor a refund offer. After countless excuses about needing more treatments, a competitor produced tremendous improvement within weeks of just ONE application.
One of the most troubling issues was a technician who repeatedly claimed to have called or attempted to coordinate visits when he hadn't. When I complained, the owner initially treated me as though I was the problem. I insisted he check the employee's phone. He did, acknowledged that the employee had been lying, apologized, and promised it wouldn't happen again.
Except it did.
When another dispute arose, the owner again believed the employee over me, this time without checking the evidence. His reasoning? He knew the employee wouldn't lie again. Seriously? After personally confirming that he'd been lying before?
The scheduling problems were particularly frustrating because I have dogs, and Accurate had explicitly agreed to call before arriving so I could secure them. Yet technicians repeatedly showed up unannounced.
The lawn treatments were equally disappointing. Rather than treating the entire yard edge to edge, technicians frequently treated the middle and missed substantial areas. Every single time I complained, I was asked to send photographs, as though I might be inventing the weeds. Every time, the owner confirmed that the photographs showed weeds and sent someone back to treat the missed areas. Yet the problems continued.
Meanwhile, practically every type of weed was supposedly "not included" in their treatments. When I asked what actually WAS included, I couldn't get an answer. Ironically, when I treated those weeds myself, it worked.
For a long time, Accurate insisted I simply hadn't given their treatments enough time. More treatments, more callbacks, more photographs, and still plenty of weeds.
And what about their advertised satisfaction guarantee? Despite my repeated complaints and the lack of satisfactory results, not once did they offer a refund.
Finally, I hired a competitor. After ONE treatment, within weeks, my lawn showed tremendous improvement. So much for the argument that I just needed to be patient.
I have photographs documenting the lawn's condition and the recurring problems. This wasn't an isolated mistake. It was a pattern of poor service, excuses, and a troubling lack of accountability.
I paid for professional lawn care and expected professional results and honest communication. In my experience, Accurate delivered neither. I cannot recommend them.
