His tablet has a new technology that measured the room, calculated how much energy is lost through the windows, and accounted for my vaulted ceilings. With this information he then was able to recommend two different models of heat pump that would work well with my solar panels. He expedited paperwork and offered financing at an affordable rate. In addition I was given a veteran discount!

The salesperson who came out told me my ducts were "ripped" and needed full replacement, quoting nearly $6,000. He stated this was the only solution to resolve the smell. After I explained that I could not afford that, he then strongly pushed a $1,300 air purifier as something I "really should" purchase. Feeling uneasy, I sought a second opinion from an independent duct specialist and shared the same photos. I was told the ducts are intact and that the outer layer condition does not impact airflow or cause odor. I was also advised that a rain-related musty smell is more consistent with a moisture issue, such as a roof or pipe leak -- not duct failure. This experience was extremely stressful. Being presented with a costly, urgent repair and then upsold an air purifier -- only to later learn the ducts may not be the issue at all -- left me feeling misled. I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before agreeing to major HVAC duct replacements.

SUMMARY: They were the only company that could come out on 1…read moreday's notice, and arrived exactly on time. Everyone I dealt with was both friendly and professional, and the job was done quickly (~15 minutes!) and right. I'm very satisfied with the service I received. (Also note that based on a LOT of phone calls made, their pricing seems to be about in the middle of the pack). FULL: So my upstairs AC went out last week. Although the worst of the heat wave had ended, it was still hitting 85+ outside and 95+ inside. Fortunately, I have 2 AC units - but the downstairs unit is smaller, and was being overwhelmed by the heat from upstairs, leaving even the downstairs hot and causing me to worry the unit would break. Anyway, I called around to a lot of companies. There were many that had good ratings, but (and perhaps this is pot luck), Ley was the only company that could come out by the next day. When scheduling the initial visit, I asked some questions about pricing and they seemed to be in the middle of the pack. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of either of the people I spoke with at the company (I even asked the guy as he left specifically for this review, and now am forgetting!). But both the woman I spoke with on the phone, and the man who came out to do the repair, were very friendly and personable. The technician arrived almost exactly on the first minute of the arrival window, which was awesome. He was fast too - he had diagnosed the problem in a couple of minutes, max, and completed the repair within 15 minutes. He then spent quite a while answering questions I had about future upgrades, and ideas on how to cool the one room in my house that's always hotter than the rest. He actually spent more time answering my questions and giving me ideas than doing the repair! The final bill was a HUGE relief too. I was very worried that it would be a freon issue, which is a fortune to diagnose leaks and then refill. But it wound up being just some sort of capacitor, and was probably about the cheapest possible repair the unit could have needed. Again, this is a bit of pot luck - but it's still a good sign in my eyes when the correct repair is cheap, and that's the repair they make, without trying to upsell or convince me it's something more expensive. Speaks to integrity and professionalism. Anyway, the bottom line (as you can probably tell by now LOL) is that I was quite satisfied with the service. Everyone was both friendly and professional, and the job was done quickly and right.

I was referred to AQS through my home warranty insurance…read more I has some bad experiences with ac companies in the past, but I got lucky this time. Jonathan and his team were the best technicians I have encountered. They replaced my whole HVAC system went above and beyond to help us resolve issue after issue to make sure we were taking care off. They were here 9 am to 9 pm trying to do the best job and complete the work. Super cool, super professional group of people . Me and my husband lucked out we were super happy with them. I also had a great customer service manager working with me, she is fast to respond answer all my questions , super professional. Overall I would recommend this company great experience, great customer service !.

They advertised free in-person estimates on Facebook; but when I called to set up an appointment,…read moreand they learned that I wanted an estimate to repair my existing system instead of an estimate to REPLACE it, they told me there'd be a $99 charge to come out. After complaining that their advertising was false as to "FREE" estimates I eventually went ahead and made an appointment for them to come out. Roughly 2-hours later I received the following text message "Thank you Anthony for reaching out! However, Johnson Valley is outside of our service area. Thank you and have a good day." Seriously?? If I don't buy a new system, suddenly I'm outside their service area? I called their number that I found on Facebook, and their own AI assistant CONFIRMED that they DO service that area. I asked to speak to a person; explained the entire situation and then the lady told me that the AI assistant was wrong. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Watch out for these people as all they want to do is upsell people what they do not want or need and failure to agree to a replacement visit will likely end with "we don't service your area" or some other lame excuse. All this did was waste a day and set me back in terms of getting my system fixed. Bad business practices like this ... NOT COOL! Look elsewhere for more honest reputable companies that do not blatantly lie to their prospective customers or falsely advertise free estimates. Good Luck if you decide to deal with AQS Heating And Air out of Hemet, CA.
