Yet another little library located in Gorham Maine. This one is closer to downtown area even just being on a side street from Main St so suspect it gets a good amount of traffic. One of the largest little libraries I have come across. Three large shelves instead of the usual one or two. The majority of it is painted white and the door is blue, although it does look worn down and could use some love with a new paint job. It could really make it pop to stand out and not look forgotten. Thankfully despite that it looked decently full so I assume it's used frequently. The bottom shelf while hectic and unorganized did appear to all be children/young books and even included a bag full of crayons and similar things for those in need to grab some. Nothing caught my wife or my eyes enough to feel like we needed any of the books during our visit. Besides the bottom shelf the other two shelves offered some diverse books. Some examples included; bibles, dictionary, fantasy, mysteries, and more. One that I noticed was about music/guitars which it seemed as though it was about the science behind becoming musical at any age which maybe that'll be the book to push someone to follow their dreams to start playing an instrument. In the end I feel slightly bad for the rating being lower but it comes down to comparisons from all the others I have visited. It needs a fresh paint job to not appear old or forgotten and some effort in keeping it tidy could do a lot in the same way too. Location wise if you are near downtown Gorham it is worth checking out though. read more
