And what do I as a breeder do? There are many reasons why an Australian Labradoodle costs what they cost. If you check the ALAA and the WALA and the ALCA, you will find that my puppies are not as much as most of the other breeders in the organizations for this developing breed. Until I purchased my first intact male, (the last one I bought cost over $14000.00 I would travel to find the perfect sire for my litters. The stud fee I usually pay is $3000.00. . The progesterone testing and artificial insemination comes at additional expense. Some of our breeding dogs are purchased at 8 weeks old with the average cost of a prospective breeding puppy being ten thousand dollars (this is the cost of best of the litter, unaltered, but an unproven, untested dog). Because they are so young, we wait until they are almost a year to start their health testing. If the dog does not pass ALL of the tests, we refuse to breed him/her and we ensure that the dog is found a quality home. Only the very best of the best dogs are used in our program. Over the last 2 years,most of the other ALAA breeders have changed their puppy prices to $3000 or higher. All of our potential breeding dogs undergo extensive health tests that surpass the minimum requirements of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA) These tests include an eye exam clearance from a certified ophthalmologist, EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), prcd-PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) clearance, heart testing, Canine Eye Registry Foundation (CERF) testing, Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) hip and elbow testing, I sometimes do PENN hip (PennHIP is a multifaceted radiographic screening method for hip evaluation. The technique assesses the quality of the canine hip and quantitatively measures canine hip joint laxity. a DNA profile, and other testing for genetic diseases. We do these tests in order to produce the healthiest puppies possible, improve the Australian labradoodle breed and minimize genetic disease. You can be assured that your pup has parents with wonderful temperaments and the highest of health scores! We love our dogs and want them to live healthy, happy lives. In order to be the best breeder possible, I belong to the ALAA and WALA and pay their fees to be a member in good standing. I want to better the breed, and work hard to try to produce a better, healthier puppy each time I have a dog bred. I attend ALAA conferences and participate in a variety of trainings to raise the healthiest and smartest puppies I can. . I follow the Avidog breeder techniques and also the Puppy Culture techniques. There are expenses to get this education. I have our puppies evaluated by professional trainers to ensure the best aptitude. and by professional dog handlers to ensure the best structure (choosing the best of the best to keep in our program). Often, the handlers are amazed at the quality of our puppies, making it difficult for us to choose which puppy to keep. I use veterinarians for our vaccinations (instead of doing it myself) to insure the vaccines are fresh and high quality; and so the puppies get an additional health check by the vet. ​ EllsWORTH Labradoodles is not a kennel. We are a family and our dogs live in our home as our beloved and pampered pets. There is no way to have all of our breeding dogs with us and give each of them the pampering we desire for them, so many of our breeding dogs live in Guardian homes nearby. A guardian home is a family that has one of our breeding dogs as their own pet, but I retain breeding rights. More information on the guardian program is on the page called "Guardian Opportunities" However, all puppies are born and raised in our home until they are picked up or shipped to you. As explained, our fully health tested parent dogs have their puppies in our home. I stay with the laboring mother for the entire delivery, frequently all through the night. The puppies are handled a few minutes after birth for a quick check up and tying off umbilical cords, then returned to their mother. The puppies go in for a vet check within a few days of birth. By the time the puppy is ready for their new family at 8-9 weeks, we have spared no expense on everything a puppy needs from veterinary care, to high quality food, to toys, to training. The puppies come to you microchipped (with the microchip already registered in your name

Labradoodle puppies are some of the cutest puppies around! Louis (formerly Nick) Taking all of our dogs into consideration Louis is the best behaved puppy that we have ever had. Since we brought him home, he has only done "his business" outside and on command. He understands come and sit. Ellsworth Labradoodles, you have done an amazing job!!! Today we start training which may be easier than we thought. Louis is a love and we are in love. And he sleeps through the night and does not even whimper and I mean from 10:00 P.M - 7:00A.M. Vivien We have had Vivien home now since late September. She has chewed her share of shoes, paper, socks and toys. She is a beautiful puppy with the sweetest disposition. She has been very easy to house break and although we still use her crate she is allowed to sleep in our bed with us each night and we have never had an issue. Her one vice is chewing and believe me we have toys and bully sticks all over the house. She loves to play fetch and is quite social with other dogs. Since we both work she goes to puppy daycare at least once a week when we have our long clinic days and can’t get home. We are pleased that she rarely barks unless she needs to go outside, and never at strangers or other dogs. We love to walk although the cold winter weather has stopped us the last week or so. She absolutely loves the snow, she rolls around like she is making snow angels. We are just crazy about her and so grateful for the wonderful care she received in your home giving her a healthy start in life. I have attached photos of Vivien taken in our home this past week so you can see what a beautiful girl she has become. Stanley I just want you to know that I LOVE my dog!!! He is the most amazing sweet boy. I can't believe he is 3 today. You have no idea how many people want to know where I got him because they want one just like him. Thank you for him. Scooter Scooter has been a great addition to our family. He is doing well and getting big. He is pretty well house trained. Every once in a while he will have an accident in the house. He loves to go on walks and play in the snow. We currently are attending the intermediate puppy school class through Petsmart. He is responding very well to new commands and tasks. My kids adore Scooter. We take him everywhere we can. We lost our yellow lab which we had for 14 years last month. Having Scooter was a blessing during this tough time. Mirhabelle We've sure enjoyed her. Jeff often asks how I picked such a great puppy. She is perfect for our family. I have tons of photos, I'll send them along. :)

Labradoodle puppies are some of the cutest puppies around! Olive Hello there we just wanted to email you some more pictures of Olive and let you know she is such a great dog and has been an absolute joy! We are also wondering if you are planning on having another litter and when? We are very interested in getting another doodle sometime in the near future, preferably a male. Olive absolutely loves the water, we go to the lake at least twice a week and she is quite the swimmer! She loves the dog park and was a little timid to the lager dogs at first but is now starting to warm up. Her piddle problem has gotten a lot better, we realized that it was mainly our fault by getting her so excited when we saw her. I can't lie it is very hard not to get excited when we see her because she is soo dang cute but we have trained ourselves to be better. She is now weighing in at 28lbs although she looks heavier her curly coat is deceiving. Thanks again keep in touch. Blue We Love Blue so much!! We thank our lucky stars every day that we have such an awesome dog. He definitely makes the family complete and is a constant source of love and entertainment. Thank you so much! Thank you for Blue so much. He is our little doofus. Scotty Here is an e-mail from when Scotty was only 10 weeks old: "Thanks for checking in. Perfect timing too! Scotty is doing great. We were finally able to get to our vet today and Scotty checked out great. He's soooo smart. On Thanksgiving, we built a 4X4 foot box on the deck and tied a bell to the back door. He's been ringing the bell and doing his business in the box. Very incredible! He's learning to fetch, he sits great, and he's been doing pretty good on the chewing." Ty Ty is "the Best"! He loves walks and riding in the car. Plays nice with the cat (at least most of the time). He will still steal TP and socks if given a chance. He weighs 36# and has been very healthy. Nala Just wanted to drop you a note and update you on Nala (or nala bear as we like to call her). She weighs about 19 lbs and her vet says that she probably has 3-4 more months of growth left. We took her in this morning for her second groom, picture attached. I just can't express how much we love this little dog. We take on her a walk every night, she loves to chase a tennis ball, she loves to swim in our pool (some mornings she just sits on the first step and cools off),and she is such a little cuddle bear. We have taken her on a few road trips and she is perfect! Thank you again

      Puppies Available Now! - Reservation fees and Puppy Allocation Is the reservation fee refundable? Reservation fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. ​ What does making a deposit mean? Is that the same thing as a reservation fee? How do you decide who gets which puppy? A deposit and a reservation fee is basically the same thing, it is non-refundable. Your order in the puppy allocation will be based on when your reservation fee is received. When you submit an application, you will be able to give me a first and 2nd choice regarding color and gender realizing it may change, and the person in front of you might change their minds too. This reservation fee doesn't lock in which exact puppy you get- only the opportunity to have one of these puppies. I might hold back 1 or 2 puppies in each litter as possible breeders so I always get first pick. I make my decision on which puppy I will keep after they have their "aptitude" tested at 7 weeks old and have their structure evaluation completed at 8 weeks old. These tests help me decide which puppy will make the best breeder and improve the breed. I have also decided that I might use my "breeder spot" for specific service or therapy work. If a client has a trainer set up and that trainer wants to help in picking a therapy or service dog, I have the right to let them use my pick. I know waiting until the puppies are 8 weeks to know which puppy you will get makes it a little tough for people that really want a certain color or gender. From my experience, I prefer to place puppies based on personalities that will fit best with each family rather than just by color or gender. Having a good fit personality wise will mean much more in the long run than the puppy color. But I still let you decide which puppy you want along with my recommendation. In summary, the breeder always gets first pick. The rest of the puppies are picked in the order of deposit received. I will give my suggestion on which puppies would be best based on each puppy's personality, but the final decision is always up to you. When do you start accepting reservation fees on certain litters? We are no longer accepting reservation fees for certain litters. Rather we have a master list and as a litter becomes available we go down the list in order of the fee received, if you want to skip that litter (to big or too little, or wanting different gender or color), you do NOT loose your place in line. What if I made my non-refundable reservation fee and then decide I don't want a puppy from the litter I had originally decided on? Because we are switching to a master list instead of a list per litter. You can skip a litter and will still keep your order of the date your reservation fee was received. . For example. You pay your reservation fee on 1/10, then when the puppies are ready to go home, you decide you don't want one of the puppies from the options left in the litter we are allocating. . You chose to wait for the next litter. Your reservation fee was still on 1/10, so you will be able to choose before anyone placing deposits after 1/10. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email or call me. How much is the non-refundable reservation fee? The non-refundable reservation fee is $500. This amount is subtracted from the total cost of the puppy. How can I pay a reservation fee? Before making paying a reservation fee, you must submit a puppy application and then be approved for a puppy. I accept check, venmo, zelle, or a personal check, or paypal (if you use the friends and family link) for the non-refundable reservation free. ​ Deposits Received/ reservations rec This is the master list, puppies are allocated in order of the deposits. We are a home based breeder of Multi generation Australian labradoodles. We are Gold Paw members of the ALAA and breed to their standard. We do our very best at giving your puppy the best start in life. Mama dogs are beloved family members in guardian homes and come to us happy and ready to have their puppies, We do early neuro-stimulation starting at 3 days old, and we work hard at potty training, socializing loving and hugging each puppy in our home until they are old enough to come to you. We have veterinarian checks, microchips, we breed for calm, sweet, smart, family puppies, some of our puppies are service dogs, and therapy dogs. They don't hardly shed and are allergy friendly! We have older puppies ready for their new homes, now that have already started house training!

        Established in 2009.

        We started out with one F1B standard labradoodle, joined the ALAA and bred her with multi generation labradoodles, and only had 1 or 2 litters a year for the first 5 years, then we started our guardian program and held back the best of the best, and use aptitude evaluations and structure evaluations and try each breeding to better the bred. I go to conferences and learn how to be the better breeder and puppy raiser each year and am still learning. We health test all our breeding dogs and do our very best to give each or our clients the best dog we can. They are allergy friendly and hardly ever shed. Sweet temperaments and super smart is what you should get from EllsWORTH Labradoodles doodles WORTH adoring!

        I am JoAn Ellsworth, I have a passion for raising wonderful Australian labradoodles, I love how smart they are and how they don't shed. I have been breeding these dogs in our home for over 10 years. The joy I get from watching families find and fall in love with their new 4 legged family member is so great. I do this full time, and I continue to learn and grow as a breeder with a purpose to breed healthy great temperament puppies that follow the guidelines and standards of the ALAA.
