I was in a car/ truck wreck. My 2002 F350 making a properly signaled left turn off a 2 lane highway…read moreonto my county road. I was hit by a current year model Dodge 5500 pulling a 50' car trailer with a car on it doing somewhere in the range of 90 mph. He came over a hill and I never had a chance. Ambulance, hospital, totaled truck. You name it. I'm on Medicare so I knew whatever they expended on my behalf they'd want back. I was in for the most tangled mess of my life. Insurance against insurance against Medicare against subrogation. No way could I sort this out. I called Mc Divitt the next morning. They agreed to take the case. All I asked was make sure ALL the bills were paid. Medical, therapy all of it. The truck hit me once and blew me across the highway into a guard rail. Then the trailer hit me and destroyed the bed and fender and box of the truck. 2. 90 mph hit, 2 seatbelt hits. The reaction of my brain to hitting my skull was not good. Lingering issues. Wreck was in October. In April I'm still fighting my PCP to say yes there actually was something wrong. Tony and the staff were in constant contact and worked very hard to get my massage/OT person paid as she was holding me together with "bandaids" as it were. I never had a problem reaching anyone by text. If tony made a phone appoint he was there exactly on time. Kept me apprised every step of the way. He sent out a PI to find the company who owned the commercial truck that hit me. They were basically uninsured. My insurance offered to settle and I was advised not to take it as he can do better. I agreed. He came back about 4 weeks later: all bills paid, their bill considerably less than I planned and I had enough in the bank to "make me whole" and then some. God bless Tony, Kayla and Carrie (who even answered calls on off hours or weekend.

Do yourself a favor and look at other lawyers before you hire this one!…read more I hired Angela Jones for a limiting parenting time case last year. After a few weeks, in a classic "bait and switch", Angela suggested she had a lawyer working for her that was more familiar with the practices and tendencies of my ex's lawyer and suggested that it might be a better fit so Brandon then became my lawyer. After a long drawn out process, we finally went to mediation where Brandon advised me to sign a temporary agreement that ultimately turned out not to be temporary. During the mediation the question of revising child support came up which is what I suggested from the beginning was the ultimate goal. During planning for our defense, Brandon claimed he could make a case against including income from an investment property even though I mentioned that my lawyer during my divorce stated she couldn't use that defense. Brandon still insisted he could make that argument. Before the trial date we received a revised copy of my ex's sworn financial statement that lowered her income substantially. I asked him to request her starting paycheck from her new job to prove her claims, but minutes before trial he told me that he didn't do it since he thought it would tip our hand to our strategy. Hours before the trial, Brandon also sent a "CYA" email mentioning some concerns and an offer to settle. We discussed the email before the trial where I mentioned it made me sick to my stomach receiving it since the day before he suggested we had a great strategy. He told me he didn't think the offer was fair, I agreed so we passed. At the end of the trial we lost on all counts and I was floored. He said we had an option to do a Magistrate review and he would start that process which included ordering the court transcripts. After a week of thinking about everything that happened at trial, I requested a meeting with Brandon to discuss our strategy going forward. During that meeting I questioned many of the tactics Brandon did and didn't employ for my defense. He was very defensive and he mentioned that if I felt like I didn't receive a competent defense that I should maybe look at retaining a new lawyer. I told him I wanted to move forward with the review and he said he would proceed. A week later Brandon sent me an email defending his performance, blamed me for things like not taking a settlement when he made the offer, for not being my own lawyer and bringing up things he completely omitted during trial, for making him make an argument to exclude my investment income that didn't work during my divorce but not making the argument I did request he should make for legitimate business expenses and then he ultimately advised me to seek alternative counsel. I had 2 consultations with highly respected lawyers to do just that. I was lucky enough to already have the court transcripts, exhibits and the email from Brandon to send to both lawyers to review before our meeting. During our meetings I had the lawyers ask me very similar questions I had for Brandon about how the trial was conducted including why he submitted the wrong sworn financial statement and why it was late when I had submitted it month's before, why my legitimate business expenses weren't argued, why Brandon didn't submit any exhibits of our own like the starting check stub from my ex's new job and her original sworn financial statement? They both also mentioned that after reading Brandon's email to me where he claimed that by me not bringing up a lot of these issues at trial was my fault when he asked if "I had any other facts or evidence" before he ceased his questioning as lazy, a cop out and they questioned (as I did) which one of us was the lawyer in this matter. They both commented that if I had received the level of defense he gave himself in the email I would have been better served. So if you goal is to hire a lawyer that his only concern is to collect a fee, doesn't have a strong grasp of the law, can have his delicate ego crushed and leave you hanging, this is the firm and the lawyer for you.

Great customer service and a timely positive result. Would recommend!read more
