Completely overpriced and good luck if you are in a wheelchair there are no accommodations for seniors or children! Great service from the waiter and the chef who came and spoke with my guy and I! The food was pretty tasty as well; we shared hot wings, artichoke dip and penne a la vodka and all were delicious. We didn't get a great view because we arrived late into the night, but the calm setting of the restaurant more than made up for it. We received a few funny looks from some of the patrons when arriving which initially made the experience a bit uncomfortable, but once we were seated all was forgotten. After not having gone to E.B. Elliot's for over a year, my fiancé and I went there for dinner on Saturday night primarily because the band "Noiz" was playing (they're awesome and I wanted my fiancé to hear them). Well the band was playing at the outside bar and the place was filled with unruly 20 something's who looked like they were underage and strung out on Ecstasy. So we proceeded to go into the inside bar to have dinner. The place was empty. I was so looking forward to their Kung Pao Calamari and had done nothing but rave about how great it was to my fiancé. Well, the portion was half the size it used to be and it was chewy. And to add insult to injury, the cost had gone up to $16! We then ordered the special of the night: Scallops over lobster mashed potatoes and spinach at a cost of $34 per plate. There were only 5 scallops, which were chewy, I couldn't find or taste any lobster in my potatoes, and the spinach was undercooked. I was so disgusted with the food and the fact that we dropped over $110 with just 2 cocktails and dinner. I used to look forward to going to E.B.'s because the food and atmosphere was great. Now I will never go there again. Why would you change your menu and jack the prices for less food that is practically inedible? Evidently you haven't heard the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." This gets NO STARS from me but I had to put one in order to publish this review. read more

Been meaning to write this review for a bit. We recently went to EB Elliot's and had an amazing time. The food was great the service was top shelf. Even the busboys were great. I was asking for extra red sauce it was busy, I caught this bus boy named Rich's eye. Horrible experience all around. Had dinner last night with the family. After a 45 minute wait they sat us upstairs in a relatively empty dining room. Our server came by to drop off menu's (1 short) and to notify us that there are no specials available. She explained they had been slammed all day and could not set up for Dinner. The menu is very limited yet sounds delicious. When she came back 15 minutes later we ordered the calamari (not bad) for the table and I ordered the Steak, my wife ordered the salmon and my daughter had the linguine. We waited 15 minutes for the calamari to arrive and another 25 minutes for the main course. My daughter enjoyed her dish. My steak, ordered medium came out extremely well done. Burnt on the outside and dry with no red/pink on the inside. My wife's salmon was just as dry. I showed the server and she was embarrassed. I asked to speak with the Manager, showed him and his response was "So what do you want me to do"? His attitude toward the quality of food told me they really don't care. Although they took the two dishes off the bill (we did not reorder), they total bill was still well over $100.. I am not complaining about the $$$. I will pay for good food/service. Sadly the food, attitudes and overall lack of customer service made this a horrible experience. I hope this helps you to pick another restaurant on Nautical Mile in Freeport NY. The only reason this place gets even a star is because the service was decent. To sum it up i went to this place for my wedding anniversary, what a let down! Food was bland cold and took forever to arrive and we were THE ONLY PEOPLE THERE. The drinks were terrible, no alcohol and watered down. The appetizers looked like frozen food warmed up. Can't wait to come back!! Was there Friday and I have nothing but positive things to say. I've worked in the service industry for many years so I could be a bit critical. Nothing to criticize though. The drinks were delicious, I recommend the pomegranate martini. Had shrimp tacos, baked clams and buffalo wings and each one was better than the next. The food was enjoyable and the service was even better. The manager Matt came by our table to make sure we were doing ok and to introduce himself. It was great to see a manager be so hands on. I always pass this place when me and my parents come to Freeport. It seemed like a nice place, music, drinks what more do you want right? Well I finally decided to come here with a friend tonight on Memorial Day for dinner. Their outside area was packed but the inside was not. As soon and we got seated the waiter( girl with curly brown hair) took forever to take our drink order. My friend and I were ready to order right away since we have looked at the menu online. But as soon as she took the drink order she bolted when I was mid sentence. Like what? It wasn't even busy. But non the less it still took her forever to acknowledge that we even wanted to order we had to flag her down to get her attention! I know it's not her fault but the food was not good, pricey, and it took about 1 hour just to get the appetizer!! I ordered a New England clam chowder that frankly looked disgusting It was like a clear brown liquid that was separated! Clearly it's very old and looked nothing like an actual clam chowder!! After the long wait for that nasty soup the food took an extra 30 minutes to come! When the food came she didn't even give us utensils. I tried to get ahold of her and she didn't acknowledge me, so I had to get up and ask the bar for a fork!!! Over all from what I see management and wait staff need some re evaluating. Clearly they make there money from bar sales cause the food was not good and over priced! I don't make reviews but I felt this needed to be said. The young lady an hostes was polite concerned for our needs dispite ordering a burger . It turns out its a 8oz burger with seasoned fries. I added bacon an grill onions. Oh! Thats a extra charge! The burgers were ordered medium rare came out well on the wifes an med well on mine. We held our own! An took it as a missgiving. I had asked for grilled onions but got a few pieces of onion barely noticing it on the burger. We did mentioned the onions an they quickly brought a dish of saute onions, not a heap just enough to do the job. They did comp the bacon an onions to make up for the more than med rare burgers. The menu had wonderfull presentation an nice selection. but expensive for the amount given to eat. Who knows if there over head dictates that or heavy weights can afford the tab. Who am i to say! But a little rich for a middle age group of rock an rollers. They possibly need a winter menu for such a crowd! Not quite a fine dine menu but a bar menu. Fantastic place along the Nautical Mile. They recently remodeled the whole place after Sandy so everything is beautiful and brand new. They also have a brand new chef and the food was delcious. The service was great. I highly recommend the Kung Pao Calamari, the Scallops with mushroom risotto and the Lobster. I had a two pound lobster that was delicious and reasonably priced. Looking forward to coming and hanging by the Tiki Bar the next time. They had a band playing and it looked like a lot of fun. The service was exceptional, as the bartenders were very attentive, the summer drinks were delicious (I ordered the coconut martini) and the food was delicious and fresh (I ordered from the bar and got the tuna tar tar, calamari and dry rub wings). For the amount they charge for their steak I expected better. I asked for medium and my steak was rare, extremely. The people I was with commented how rare it was but since service was slow I didn't get a chance to send it back. My Husband and I have a weekly date-night. We have patronized fine dining establishments and upscale casual restaurants throughout NY and Long Island, but never fast food restaurants. I can't decide which category E.B. Elliot's falls under and neither can they. After trying most of the other restaurants and dives on the Nautical Mile and viewing E.B. Elliot's website for interior photos and menu; it was now time to give them a try. First impressions upon entering the nautical mile is the Grand exterior facade to EB Elliot's building. Wow, valet parking, how convenient! Gracious and well groomed staff at the podium entrance to the Main restaurant. Live music on an extended wharf drew us to the restaurant. The decision on this mild summer afternoon was whether to dine in the Main restaurant or in/on the outside dock. Upon request, they cordially provided both outside and Main restaurant menus and took me on a tour of the Main restaurant. A private party upstairs kept her from showing me the upstairs. Disappointing because I understand it has the best view, and it could have potentially been a selling point for a decision to rent the space for a private function, or a return visit with better seating. The Main Restaurant has a charming pub interior, with a long wooden bar and a large screen TV mounted to the ceiling. A water inlet view was apparent from every table. Bravo! A modern, warm, tables well spaced, well thought out restaurant. My husband, always willing to please me - allowed me to make the decision: Main Restaurant or outside dining. The Main restaurant was filled to capacity and I was offered the availability of a corner table next to a family complete with highchairs and marauding young children. The outside offered the sounds of a live band and sparking water and with similar menus and ceiling fans on the covered interior - We opted for outside dining. Perfect! All downhill from here. An outside hostess who was disheveled in appearance and surly in manner. Her clothes visibly wrinkled, her hair was matted and tossed atop her head, no makeup, No smile, No welcome, No introduction. She stumbled through the restaurant - cup in hand , I wondered, was it coffee, water, or what . . .in that Styrofoam cup- she was sipping from. She led us through a virtually empty restaurant straight to the furthest point, outside to an uncovered wharf next to a plank to a rental boat and barge. Well I didn't want to sit there with so many other options available. I discretely expressed to my husband that I preferred to sit inside on the covered deck with ceiling fans closer to the lively band. She interceded moving closer towards me "What is the problem!!!!!" I turned and took a seat inside after being told in no uncertain terms - that was all that was available for a party of two! The restaurant was virtually empty, I sat myself at a tall table with two stools. The waitress waved her hands around and quipped, "It's OK for you to sit there too!". As she walked away I asked for menus and she shouted out she would send over a waitress. What a nice change that instantly put us at ease - the waitress had a friendly , welcoming smile and a pleasant disposition constantly inquiring at her convenience - after our satisfaction with the meal and service. However, I received no forks, knives, lobster cracker, napkins, coasters, salt and pepper shaker, water unless I requested it repeatedly or literally left my table to go to the bar and the rear service area to obtain them. Inside/Main Staff must be aware of this deficiency in professional outside Staff. Several times they approached the table asking my Husband and I, were we being waited on and did we want anything a glass of water or anything, that was certainly a redeeming quality to take up the slack for the inadequacies of the outside staff. However why not hire professional Outside Wait Staff and Hostess - Or do a better job at training them, Monitoring them constantly is prudent, but surely they must be losing customers due to customer dissatisfaction?! Website menu is not updated regularly. The items listed and described on the menu in hand varied upon delivery. My Husband had the Jumbo shrimp cocktail -Great! I sent back the Nautical Mile Salad - described as lobster and shrimp salad on a bed of lettuce with black olives - came out to the table as pink colored salmon/tuna/fish salad with imitation pressed seafood pieces for shrimp and a number of rubbery lobster claw trimmings - Unacceptable! The Rib Eye and Lobster everyday Special - both were great serving sizes - However, obviously mildly warmed/reheated and sauced from much earlier or another day. The deepish chocolate chip cookie with vanilla gelato with chocolate sauce - Fine. Espresso is dark in color and aroma - Instead cafe au lait came in an expresso cup. Three Cocktails all served room temperature using premade/ powdered mix - Yuck. $125 total - Good Price! Live entertainment -Definite Plus read more

I recently had my graduation party at EB Elliot's and everyone had a great time! We had to make a last minute date change and they were able to make the adjustment quickly. Matt (manager) was there every step of the way and made sure every aspect of the party from start to finish was smooth. I would highly recommend EB Elliot's to my peers. Our server was excellent and very helpful. The manager came over and spoke with us as well and was very friendly and welcoming. Overall great service. For the second time in a year, my brothers and myself decided to give EB Elliott one more try...as our first experience was not good. ..the food was awful! This time we again met for lunch...and again the food was not good! I ordered a Ceasar salad with grilled chicken and it was not good.. I got 3 pieces of very thin chicken. .maybe 2 crutons ...very obvious that the dish was inferior to most Ceasar grilled chicken salads...someone is not serving the customer honestly. ...hello...this is salad 101??? It seems to me there is little quality with a big price....my brothers and I will not go back and we will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Went this past Father's Day. Took a 20 minute wait with a reservation. I would understand if it was busy since it was a holiday, but while we waited on the outside deck by the bar we could see plenty of empty tables on the lower outdoor deck. Not a big deal though since someone from our party was running late. Once we were seated, our server was very attentive and checked with us a couple of times if we wanted anything while we waited on one more person. Once our party was complete and we ordered, our appetizers came out fairly quickly but our food took around 40 minutes. For the appetizer we ordered calamari, which was good but not cut all the way through, which was kind of annoying. I ordered the Lobster Mac N Cheese which was surprisingly good - they give you a good amount of food, they don't skimp out on the lobster, and the mac n cheese was super creamy. Tables, chairs, and silverwear show wear and tear and for the way this place is priced I would at least expect my drink to be served in something a bit better than dispoable plastic cups. I don't want to be mean...they tried. Really, they did. Let's start with walking in and "choosing" which restaurant you would like, either Prime 23 or EB Elliot's. Keep in mind, IT IS THE SAME KITCHEN. Two different menu's that happen to have some of the same dishes. Maybe consider having it called ONE name and upgrading the menu and experience as a whole. Anyway, Victoria, the manager was an absolute doll. After the waiter came out and informed us that they were completely out of sauvignon blanc, she went to her "secret stash" and brought me a glass of delicious wine. We did cancel our expensive appetizer order of the seafood tower upon hearing of the wine shortage. It rubbed us the wrong way and were nervous of the quality of the seafood. The wedge salad was exceptionally good. The chef makes maple glazed bacon that is thick cut and yum. The lump crabmeat cocktail also very good. Our entrees both came out RAW. Ribeye, which was cold even at the edges and double cut pork chop, actually pinkish red in the middle. This does not a steakhouse make. The seasonings were on point. However, after sending it back and having it come back with more fire...neither piece of meat were the right texture after being recooked. Asparagus was thick, cooked well but had inedible white pieces still on it?! Hash browns were good. With so many choices, I don't think we will be back. I can't stress enough that it was a valiant effort by the manager and server. Seems like the problems are in the back of the house and with the strange restaurant set up. Up? Down? Which restaurant? Do you like steak or maybe you would prefer a hamburger instead? Are you dressed nicely or in shorts? Thats the feeling you get when you all walk through the same door.
