Francesca is the polar opposite of this portrayal, she is an absolute professional and is completely dedicated to her profession and clients. From day 1 Francesca was absolutely amazing. She had a reputation in my building as being one of the best, so when I was ready to sell I gave her a chance. She walked in and as soon as we started to talk, I knew why she was regarded as the best. She knew everything about the current market in the neighborhood, she even knew what I paid for the place! She had a complete analysis worked up for me, it outlined the recent comparable sales as well as the units on the market that would be my competition. It also had an explanation of all the fees and estimated closing costs so I had a full understanding of what a sales price would mean against what I originally paid for the unit. She explained everything in detail but in the end insisted that all pricing decisions were mine to make, after all it was my unit and my money. Throughout the entire process, Francesca was amazing. She was diligent about seeking feedback from prospective buyers, and always made time to talk to me about the market conditions. It took a little longer than I was originally hoping for, but in the end she was able to get an offer that worked for me. I think one of the most amazing aspects of this is that I was selling a one bedroom condo. I know Francesca sells everything from 1 bedrooms to multi-million dollar units, and although her commission for selling my unit would be much less, she always treated me like I was her number one client. I believe that is because that's how she treats everyone. I would recommend Francesca to anyone, and she is my Chicago real estate agent forever.

When we listed our Chicago condo in the River North area with Carina, we were consistently impressed with the way she integrated her innate sense of interior design in the staging of our condo. She was incredibly hands on and was meticulous in choosing the perfect paint colors and decorative elements to make our condo look its absolute best. I don't know of any other real estate agent that would pay as much attention to the tiniest, crucial details. The end result was the pictures of our unit as well as the final walk through was a world apart from where it had been before. I wish we had used those bright, fresh paint colors while we lived in the unit - all of her suggestions for design were spot on and made the unit feel bigger and sun-drenched. We valued her input and listened to all of her suggestions and are incredibly grateful for the amount of time she put into marketing our unit, as well as her passion. She was always available to answer any questions for us and took the time to explain the process to us in concrete terms. She was invested, warm, caring, and friendly. She treated us like family and we trusted her judgment. The end result was we got an offer on our unit within a month. It was barely on the market and it went fast thanks to her aggressive marketing. My experience with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services (BHHS) Chicago has been simply awful!! I used…read moretheir services for listing my condo for rent. However, despite assurances, no updates were provided to me regarding enquiries, no consultation with me for most enquiries - thus, providing mis-leading information to prospective clients - as I learnt retrospectively. I even reached out to Customer Service after half a year, but sensed retaliation since then - 0 enquiries for almost a month - was this a coincidence!?!... plus a bunch of falsehood - agent stated having taken pictures to revamp the listing, but my building manager confirmed that the agent had no history of signing in the building since December 2019 - 7 months ago! Then one day the agent called and simply informed me that their next step was to take off the listing - with the contract deemed canceled. I was shocked and reached out to Customer Service for my options. I was connected to another agent whose terms of listing my unit were drastic and not acceptable to me. Since there had been issues working with BHHS and I had allowed several weeks to try and resolve them - but without success, I ultimately requested to be released of the contract. To my shock, I was sent an invoice close to $500 for early cancelation and marketing expenses! My options were to either pay the invoice or work with yet another agent. How is it justified to charge me of any money when there was non-performance, and the contract cancelation was initially thrusted upon me from their agent? How justified is it to keep re-assigning agents and using up my time with my condo sitting vacant for over half a year? Thereafter I learnt that BHHS Chicago is an independently owned and operating franchisee of BHHS, and the latter could not help resolve any dispute. So beware when employing services - even though you may see Berkshire Hathaway in the name - the local agency could be just its independent franchisee with no matching quality of service or trust!
