Don't hire these guys. I recommend NOT hiring Pedro and Peter, the franchisee supervisor and owner,…read moreof the Shack Shine franchise in the Fraser Valley. Last week I hired Pedro and Peter's Shack Shine franchise to wash the interior and exterior windows of my 2300 sq. ft. house, for a considerable price. The two technicians that Pedro left on site were polite and responsive to my concerns. However, the two window washing techs were not experienced or trained enough to perform the service to the quality of what any homeowner would expect for a nearly $1,000 job. During their time on-site I noticed and had to bring to their attention entire windows, hard to access windows, and screens that had been entirely missed, screens that were not replaced, and spots that were attempted and left, and streaks and water spots that remained on the exterior windows and simply left behind. The worst aspect of the entire experience was with Pedro the manager himself. I attempted to deal with Pedro directly by texting him during the service provision letting him know that quality control was needed and that he should return to the house. All Pedro replied was that he was in touch with the window washers, he assured that I would be satisfied with the quality, and said he would not be returning. After that response Pedro ghosted me on the text string and did not respond to any further texts. With a house photographer due to arrive at my home I was forced to spend the next 60+ minutes walking around the home repeatedly and coaching the two window washers myself to complete the windows to a satisfactory level. I asked for a discount to account for my time that it took me to direct and coach Pedro's employees. I might have been satisfied with a $100-150 discount. But, between Pedro and Peter the franchise owner, all I was offered was $25 for my negative experience. Neither Pedro by text afterwards, nor Peter over the phone a week later, would back down and resolve the situation to my satisfaction. They both simply made excuses such as "no one should have to supervise their own job, you may have misunderstood our process," and from Peter, "we never leave a supervisor on the job, the technicians on the job are qualified." I hope Brian Scudamore the CEO of Shack Shine reads this review. He should not be impressed. Like I said, I don't recommend hiring these guys.

I hired Richard twice and he did an awesome job of the windows! No complaints there. He can be…read moreboth friendly and helpful. But, he can also be quite abrasive. He spends a fair amount of time complaining about other customers (people who don't offer him a cup of coffee, people who ask for an estimate first, people who expect a prompt call back etc, etc, etc). During his second visit, he was on my porch when he opened the door and asked if I ever wanted him to wash my windows again. Confused, I said "yes." He then proceeded to say that we needed to set some ground rules. "When I knock, you come." He had apparently knocked on the window, which I didn't hear because I was dealing with a 3 and 2 year old who fighting over a toy. Both kids were screaming and the yelling continued while Richard was talking. And... as it turns out, all he wanted to know was where I bought the grapefruit juice I was drinking. I hired him to clean my windows, I made him coffee, I don't mind responding to knocks on the window. But "I knock, you come" is disrespectful and patronizing. I'd rather have dirty windows

We were given this guy's name by our local Home Depot here in Chilliwack. His name is Kelly Perrin…read morefrom Kelly Perrin Construction. We told Home Depot we needed Rubbermaid shelving to be installed in our laundry room. Mr. Perrin had us waiting for over two weeks with the estimate. And finally, it came... we had received an e-mail from him stating that he would be charging us over $1500 for installing six Rubbermaid shelves. This low life was not open enough with his clients to say he was not interested in the project anymore. Obviously, not enough in it for him to make it worth his while. I have serious questions for Home Depot but more than anything for Mr. Perrin. Who does that? What kind of work ethics does he support? A guy with a huge ego and no substance. Avoid him.

We had John Wynn from Wynning Design & Landscaping provide a quote to clean up our small patio…read more The quote provided by John included; lifting our pavers, removing the weeds and pressure washing the patio. John seemed like a nice guy and provided a decent quote. He quickly took a deposit and said he come and do the job. About 3-4 months, and over 2 dozen emails/calls later, John finally came to do the job. However, he only did a very surface level clean and then sent multiple emails daily asking for his final payment, with an excuse about having to come back to finish the job. Needless to say, several months and many broken promises later, our patio still has weeds and looks about the same at the start of the project. If you ever have the misfortune of having John Wynn quote a project for you, I strongly advise being cautious of the promises made with a smile and find someone else. And, if you do happen to take a chance on him, do not cave into his pressure to pay until you confirm the job has been completed as quoted, otherwise you will never see John Wynn or your money again.
