The law firm states that they are fair and reasonable with fees and what they charge, well there not! and when I wanted to question some of the fees/charges with Mr. Boula, he got upset, he acted like he was beyond reproach and suggest that we part ways if I'm not happy. I asked him "why I would do that, because the case is almost over. I have a right to question anything about the case, especially when it comes to the money. After the last and final court date for the distribution of funds, I felt that we were charged twice (in the $ thousands) from my mother's Estate, which of course was NOT fair! also, I never heard from Mr. Boula again, I thought he would at least send me a closing email, but he didn't! My experience with Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella and specifically with Joshua Bedwell,…read moreone of their partners, with my divorce and child My custody proceeding was horrendous. Mr. Bedwell is a $475 per-hour incompetent intermediary who demonstrates no sense of urgency and offers little-to-no thought leadership, advocacy or problem-solving ability. Outlined below are my specific criticisms of Mr. Bedwell. Mr. Bedwell initially assigned a junior associate, Brad Erdman, to my case who was completely incompetent and an extremely ineffective communicator, resulting in wasted time and fees. Ultimately, I had to insist that Mr. Erdman be removed from my case. Mr. Bedwell did not understand the process and protocols for filing a petition for parenting time when an order of protection was in place. Ultimately, he needed to consult my criminal attorney to determine the path forward. As a divorce attorney, he should have known the process & protocols and suggested that I immediately pursue a petition rather than simply requesting parenting time from my ex-wife through her attorney, which was not likely to result in any action or progress. His lack of understanding and proactive, critical thinking resulted in months of wasted time and delays in me seeing my children. Mr. Bedwell completely mishandled the guardian et litem and reunification process with my children. He did not perform due diligence or challenge the reunification therapist who was assigned to my case. The reunification therapist had very limited availability, was not located anywhere near my or my ex-wife's residence, and generally has a reputation of being difficult to work with, including not following court orders, which is exactly what happened. A mid-August court order specified that the intake meetings for me, my ex-wife and my children were to be scheduled with the reunification therapist within 7 days of the order. It took me 5 weeks to see the reunification therapist for my intake meeting at which time I found out that my children's intake meetings had not even been scheduled. Mr. Bedwell did not appropriately advocate for me when this delay occurred. He refused to insist, or even ask, that the reunification therapist accommodate an earlier date to see my children for their intake meetings given that her office clearly did not follow the court order. I also asked Mr. Bedwell whether we should seek to have a new reunification therapist assigned and received no response. When I consulted other attorneys outside his practice, they unanimously suggested immediately filing a petition for a reunification therapist and indicated that they would have never agreed to the reunification therapist that was assigned. Mr. Bedwell's incompetency and lack of advocacy resulted in months of delays in my seeing my children, not to mention wasted fees that I paid his firm, the guardian et litem and the reunification therapist. Mr. Bedwell lacked any financial acumen. His initial interim financial support proposal to my wife was completely nonsensical and substantially higher than the amount ultimately agreed upon after my review and revisions. An attorney's role, especially one at Mr. Bedwell's hourly rate, is to be a thought leader and problem solver. He was neither. On more than one occasion, he simply passed along information without providing any insight or recommendation on how to proceed to further my interests. I ended up doing nearly all of the critical and strategic thinking in my case.

I feel they are possibly the worst firm I have ever dealt with. All of the members I dealt with seemed overwhelmed with possibly taking on too many clients... which made them (in my opinion) simply fall into a reactive state and not proactively attempt to help my case! It felt like they didn't want to create a strategy, had no concern, no movement forward... NOTHING! My primary lawyer actually called my (twice) on the morning of emergency hearings to strategize the hearing. Literally minutes before entering the court... they felt that was the best time to rush you through trying to have a solid understanding of your position. I FELT THEY NEVER PREPARED FOR ONE HEARING!!!! I paid them $40,000 dollars to settle only one aspect of a divorce. They spent a year depleting the retainer... simply reacting to the other lawyer's action. Not once did they set up a meeting to discuss the potential offer or what my goals were. They rarely responded to or addressed my emails or return my calls. Pathetic. They seem to be way more concerned with accumulating hours... possibly in an attempt to make partner? The hours they accumulated didn't seem to help move my case closer to settlement. I feel they are not a divorce firm to use... and I'm sure you could throw a rock into a bunch of lawyers and find someone more concerned and able to help your case. $40,000 later... they dropped me because I was 4 days late on paying a $2,000 invoice. That's right... 4 days! Keep in mind that visitation was already resolved before approaching this firm. They only needed to provide my soon to be Ex with an offer for alimony and child support. After a year of depleting the retainer... they never once put together even one offer to my Ex. Not one! Less than one year of them doing NOTHING and incurring $40,000... for just my side of this divorce. I feel they have ZERO compassion for their clients and have no sympathy for what married couples are going through in the difficult process of Divorce. Not sure why... but, it felt like THEY WOULDN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS OR CALL ME BACK... EVER I'd say to Skip this firm... at all costs! I feel they are simply one of the worst on the planet... Find anyone else! I believe you could represent yourself and get further along then simply giving them hours as they all work towards partnership. I think they are a pathetic bunch of losers... and they do not deserve to represent anyone! Too bad the court system couldn't find a way to weed out the pathetic lawyers (and firms) and put them out of business. I feel these guys give the 1% of good lawyers a bad name... PS - I'm assuming that any of the positive reviews for this firm are made up or provided by a family member of the firm's employees. PPS - Today I appeared in court to hear their motion to be removed from the case... and my lawyer actually pulled me into the hallway, referenced this review, and threatened to take me to court for defamation of character if I didn't remove.
