The couple running it were kind, and the book selection, although a little mainstream for me was cheap. Really cheap.
They have an exchange credit system and the gentleman at the counter encouraged me to bring my book back for credit for another purchase. While I love this system in principle, in practice I find parting with books somewhat akin to voluntary amputation.
