A huge shoutout to Yelp and their ticket giveaways. I was able to win a ticket for the event on…read moreSaturday and it was awesome! From the moment you step in, it's sensory overload in the best way. Think endless rows of tasting booths, celebrity-chef energy buzzing in the air, cocktails flowing freely, and the ocean breeze reminding you that you're very much in Miami. This is not a "grab one bite and go" event--this is a pace-yourself, choose-your-own-adventure experience. There's sooo many options! You'll find everything from refined, chef-driven bites to indulgent comfort food, with Latin flavors making a strong showing (as they should, given the Goya sponsorship). Portions are tasting-sized but generous enough that if you're strategic--and disciplined--you'll leave full. The drinks? Not sure what the statistic was but I am pretty sure there were at least 2 booths for every food stall. Wine, spirits, cocktails, bubbles--every few steps there's something new to sip, and the brands go all out. Hydration stations are your friend, and yes, you should use them. What really sets the Grand Tasting Village apart is the energy. Live music, chef demos, and being on the sand in the Miami heat. it's lively without feeling chaotic. It's crowded, sure, but that's part of the SOBEWFF charm. If you don't like lines or navigating through happy, slightly buzzed food lovers, this may not be your scene. I highly recommend if you're a foodie, a wine lover, or just someone who enjoys excellent food in a high-energy, Miami-glam setting, the Goya Foods' Grand Tasting Village is a must-do SOBEWFF event. Come hungry, wear comfortable shoes, and wear sunscreen and sun-protection.

The food and wine festival is fun. Idk if $270.00 per ticket fun, but fun. There is a plethora of…read morefoods and goodies to gather from all the different stations, so if you do get the opportunity to come to this event, make sure you get your moneys worth. Yes, as in an actual cocktail bar with bottles and stuff. Granted it was for the practical reason of a thunderstorm on the pool deck but still rOMMMM :) Another thing that made this class original was Samantha's soft rock (yet still appropriately with a message) play list instead of new agey stuff. I mean Bowie's "Under Pressure" still speaks to letting go and zoning out... The class itself was a great core workout and stretches, combined with deep breathing and core excercises. Our awesome CM Cassie even did yoga with our group! The lavender and peppermint aromatherapy with the corpse pose at the end was a great way to relax and disconnect from the everyday and hectic. Though I didn't taste the juice (beet :/ can't get past that scene in Boomerang) I did appreciate the "Hall Pass" card, and Namaste'd to enjoy a full brunch at Sunny's (the hotel restaurant).

You really do feel like part of a community. Everyone was so friendly, it just felt natural that I was there. Thanks guys! I showed up bright and early, ready to do a little yoga. I must say, yoga is not my favorite exercise program. However, I was pleased to meet Sam, her teachings helped open my mind to exploring implementing yoga into my exercise routine. I loved her style, she made me feel like I knew what I was doing (even though I didn't have a clue). When I clearly needed help, she came right over and helped adjust my position. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I wish Sam taught on the beach, she is an amazing instructor. I left the class feeling spiritually enlighten and relaxed. I needed that more than I knew. After class was over, a bonus surprise was waiting for us, a variety of fresh squeezed juices. I ended up going with the Beet juice, I know there was pineapple in it but I can't remember what the other ingredients were. Nonetheless, it was delicious. Thanks again Sam and Cassie, I loved the event, and look forward to joining in on more.

From what I understand, this restaurant chain has been open since 1850 and is the best Churro spot in Spain. Me being a dessert fiend, I was definitely looking forward to checking them out and comparing them to the Miami legacy spots. Handmade and fresh right at the store, the churros had a light crisp and not as loaded with sugar as some other places I've tried them. Both the chocolate and dulce de leche dipping sauces gave them a nice boost of flavor. The space is bright and airy inside with a lot of photos of celebrities who've eaten there. The prosciutto croquettes that came with our special were also yummy . All in all, it's a nice spot for a quick pre night out bite on Lincoln Road.

What the actual experience is that there are fifteen to twenty minute plays or skits that are written by aspiring individuals and are performed in these 10 foot containers. There are approximately seven of these containers which makes the options a little wider. Mind you the containers could hold up to twenty people and the seats are movable, it is not affixed to the floor like a regular cinema or theater but because of the amount of seats in one shipping container it makes for a cozy experience, not too much people and not too little as well. The skits are done in both English and Spanish to accommodate the ones that understand one and not the other. Of course there are plays that would accommodate both children and adults with the adults having the majority on Friday and Saturday night. The pricing is also affordable as it is approximately $10.00 for two passes and they operate six times per night. This is definitely worth the experience and it's a must do in Miami. As far as food and drinks go the variety is not that great there is beer and wine, there are soft drinks and juices as well, there are snacks as well such as popcorn, gummy bears and normal cinema eats but just not such of a wide variety. This place is actually located just off the metro mover by the Adriene Arsht Center and Biscayne Boulevard. There is street parking as there is no parking garage near by, there is a pay lot two blocks away if you want to park there as well. To conclude the event hosted by Cassie and the Little Yelpers Club was excellent, I had a blast and would definitely go back, would definitely recommend this place for any and everyone to check out, great job again Cassie.

My parents and brother were visiting and decided to bring them along on this Yelp event which was open to some guests...yay! The location is strategically located within downtown Miami area. The metro mover and trolley has very close stops and are free otherwise street parking is available and I noticed a few parking garages close by which seemed to be fairly reasonable ($5-10 all day). Not sure how much was the street parking but I'm sure it wasn't more than a few dollars usually in that area it's about $2 per hour). My family had an amazing time...despite that we were all adults over 18, makes you feel like a kid again! So, this event was during the day/afternoon and was targeted for families because during the daytime the plays are more "family friendly/children". At nights, the shows are more adult/comedy friendly. Overall, day or night the it's are great and the environment is very relaxing. The price is also very affordable, cheap in my eyes for the service. The plays can run between 15 and 30 mins. $5.00 per person for a play is excellent! The plays are in english, Spanish and Spanglish ...something for everyone to enjoy. There is also a concession stand which serves limited drinks and food but just enough...juice, sodas, beer, etc., popcorn, gummies etc. the shows we watched were..the captain and Pokemon and the frog and the princess. I had a good laugh. There was also other activities ongoing for children..coloring book activities, hula hoop and jump rope. Great day and event...thanks to Yelp and Cassie for the afternoon fun! I am glad I went because I did not know during the day had children/family friendly plays. This is a great event which is reasonable for the area. I will do my best to spread the word about this hidden gem! Looking forward to returning for more plays...

Instead they created their own irreverent, satirical parade in Coconut Grove. It has grown to become a beloved Grove tradition lampooning current events and politics with homemade costumes, signs, and floats. The parade embodies Coconut Grove's bohemian spirit with a wacky and humorous take on the year's news. This was my first year attending the parade and if I could give any advice it would be to come early. Parking in Coconut Grove is difficult on the best of days, never mind when thousands of people come to attend an event in the congested streets. After experiencing frustration trying to get through blocked roads, Lady Luck finally shined on me and I was able to find a metered space a few blocks from the parade. This was the 42nd year of the parade and the theme was This is Fine from the meme of a smiling cartoon dog sitting at a table, coffee mug in hand, as the room goes up in flames. Things are not really fine at all. Some of the hot topics I saw tackled during the parade included Trump, ICE, Alligator Alcatraz, sidewalk delivery robots taking over, pythons invading the Everglades, RFK's anti-vaccine stance, the Epstein files, MAGA lip injections, the kiss cam, Ron DeSantis removing rainbow crosswalks, Miami Labubu's, and the capture of Nicolas Maduro. I actually saw three Maduro's captured and dragged down the street. I ended up watching the parade in front of CocoWalk which was a great spot. The parade goes past The Barnacle and then turns the corner at CocoWalk. The parade typically starts near Commodore Plaza and Main Highway, where it loops through Grand Avenue. The King Strut Mango was longer than I expected but I was entertained throughout. After the parade was over I was easily able to find food and a beverage at one of the many dining spots in the area. An after parade party takes place in the alley next to Chug's and it was packed.
