The ONLY REASON I did NOT give this a "SINGLE STAR" is bc of the wonderful lady that greeted me at the front. She was "older" and looked a bit rough around the edges, but my goodness she was sweet, knowledgeable and respectful. Wait, wait forrrrr it, wait forrrrrr it... BUUUUUUUUTT! True colors then followed, the rest of the staff was rude, disrespectful and down right a bunch of terrible professionals. They talk down to ya, there is zero direction unless they scream and expect you to act like you created the dang infrastructure and built that place. THENNNNNN, the car wash, or shall I say $15.50 worth of some wet hula dancers swishing and swishing back and forth across my hood and later my entire car. Reason I say this is there was zero type of soap, a sprinkling of hot wax foam and that was the "WORKS WASH". I will say, the guys at the end were decent but still assumed you were there before. I had one guy telling me to move fwd. the other guy behind me, still drying my car, saying STOP, STOP/Alto, Alto!!! I will never, EVER RETURM THERE AGAIN. Thank you nice lady at the front! Go get the tip I gave to them for you.

I had a severe rust problem with my beloved old Outback, and the dealer told me to take it to a…read morebody shop. The three body shops I visited/called said they didn't do rust. I checked a couple of places that advertised rust repair and settled on Sunflower. Gary quoted me an extremely reasonable price, so I brought my car in the following Saturday morning. We found another rust spot and settled on detailing also. Tuesday evening I picked the car up and my Subaru was beautiful again! It was like plastic surgery for your car. You want the most thorough, inside-and-out (plus the engine compartment) cleaning your car will ever have? You want the best auto body repair you've ever seen? If so, just head on over to Sunflower in Merriam, it's worth the drive!

The owner of Sunflower Dent and Detail is a crook who is operating without a business license or…read morevalid business insurance. I took my 2012 Infiniti G37 to his shop on July 26th, 2014 to have some thin pinstripes removed from the vehicle (approximately $125.00 in labor charges according to the owner), and despite assurances from Gary Hassler (the owner) that the stripes could be easily removed with wet sanding (which would not damage the paint or the clear coat), one of his employees used an abrasion wheel instead to remove the stripes which destroyed the paint job on the car. They even sanded down to the bare metal in several places, resulting in damages of $4000.00. Mr. Hassler avoided my calls and text messages for almost an entire week before I was able to catch him in person at his shop to confront him about the matter. All I received were excuses and feet-dragging. On top of this, when they took the car out of the garage they parked it in the lawn, running into a metal park bench which did damage to the front bumper. When repeatedly asked why they continued to damage the entire vehicle when it was apparent they were damaging it when they started on the rear quarter panel, all I received was an "I don't know". Mr. Hassler has stated that he simply does not have the money to pay me, which according to his now former office manager is completely false. I've also checked with the City of Merriam, and he does not have a valid business license. After confronting him with 3 quotes from local shops to repair the damages, he confessed he does not carry any insurance either. I ended up having to pay the money out of pocket to have virtually the entire car repainted due to their negligence. I filed suit in Johnson County Small Claims Court (http://jococourts.org - do a search for Gary Hassler under the Civil category for proof), and was awarded a default judgment of $4000.00 plus interest on September 5th, 2014 because he didn't even bother to show up for court. After reviewing public court records, he has also done this in the past. As of November 14th, 2014 he has failed to submit a statement of assets to the Johnson County Court Clerks office so that a garnishment and collections can take place.

Perhaps I missed it in the past: the carwash DOES have at least one under-chassis sprayer (a…read morefan-shaped spray) for the "belly blast." This is a good thing to help remove salt and grime from the bottom of your car, where it could otherwise stay undisturbed and cause corrosion. (It was difficult for me to see it in action though under other cars.) I do wish the dryer were a little longer and it's still a bit of a hassle but it works. I've used the vacuums and they are OK but I wish they had longer hoses and the heavy aluminum nozzles feel like a danger to your doors and sills. Still I'm glad I can use the car wash vacuums to get rid of the leaves and dirt and debris on the floor/carpet/floor mats of my car.
