I was a cash-pay IVF patient at this practice and found Dr. Mor through Blue Shield's in-network listing even though my insurance did not cover IVF services. My retrieval resulted in one genetically normal embryo (graded 2AA), and I paid all balances in full mainly in cash After retrieval, I was advised to delay my cycle due to an active follicle and begin Lupron. At no point was I told that waiting an additional cycle would create additional charges. Shortly after, I was told I owed $672, then reassured not to worry and to proceed. At my next visit, I was told again that I owed $672--this time because I had waited another cycle, which had never been disclosed. When I asked why the financial implications were not explained in real time, I was taken into a billing office and my request to speak directly with the physician was resisted. The most concerning incident occurred during my 12/17 appointment. Dr. Mor and Nurse Erica entered the exam room while I was undressed from the waist down for an ultrasound. After the exam, he confirmed my transfer date and began giving instructions. He then dismissed the nurse, leaving me alone with him while I was still partially undressed. No one asked if I was comfortable with the chaperone leaving or if I wanted time to get dressed first. I had never previously been alone with this physician in that state. Instead of discussing medical care, he confronted me about concerns I had raised with billing, focusing on my wording rather than the lack of billing transparency. This conversation happened while I was physically vulnerable and unable to comfortably leave without further exposure. He told me financial considerations were not part of his decision-making and that costs were not discussed the same day. I explained that I was the one funding those decisions and should be informed in real time. He then stated he was "this close" to discharging me as a patient just days before my scheduled embryo transfer. I understood that as pressure connected to my billing concerns rather than a medical issue. There was a clear power imbalance between a fully clothed physician and a partially undressed patient being confronted in an exam room. I felt trapped and extremely uncomfortable. Afterward, I got dressed and saw Nurse Erica again for a blood draw. There was no acknowledgment of what had happened. Shortly after, office manager Yvonne came in and asked if I was "okay," which reinforced for me that the interaction had been inappropriate. The problems continued afterward: conflicting statements about balances owed, being told in person I owed nothing and later being told I did, insurance being billed while I was supposedly a cash-pay patient, and repeated difficulty getting clear written billing explanations. Because the physician was affiliated with the lab storing my embryo, I felt I had little choice but to proceed with the transfer. My husband called ahead to confirm he would be allowed in the room. During the transfer, with my husband and staff present, the physician behaved professionally and did not address the prior incident. I later learned insurance was being billed despite my cash-pay status. I was told I was not responsible for certain balances, but no one clearly explained why insurance had been billed or how adjustments were being handled. Even after I cancelled care in writing, I continued receiving repeated calls and messages asking where I was getting bloodwork done and whether I was pregnant. I also received calls from Dr. Mor using "No Caller ID," which felt inappropriate and distressing. When I requested my medical records, there was a delay of about two weeks, and I was then told they would not be released without additional payment. This experience has been reported to the appropriate medical and regulatory agencies. My advice to future patients is to ask detailed billing questions in writing, bring a partner to appointments whenever possible, and do thorough research beyond standard review sites before proceeding with care. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for Dr. Mor and his team for a while now, but honestly, there's so much to say (in a good way) that it's been hard to find the words. To summarize my story (which I hope can help others), I did an IUI a few years back with Dr. Koopersmith when she was at her own clinic, and that first IUI thankfully brought us our first child. I 100% realize how lucky we were that that happened, and for reference, I was 36 at the time. Afterward, I wasted about 2 1/2 to 3 years on way too many additional IUIs trying to have our second child - probably about 7 or 8 in total. I should have taken advice from others before me and jumped straight to IVF because no matter how healthy you are and how much you take care of yourself, as a woman, your eggs start getting wonky at age 38. I now tell any female friend of mine in their early / mid-thirties that if they want to have kids at some point, to start thinking about freezing eggs if they don't see it happening in the very near future. So anyway, at 40, I found Dr. Mor and started the process of IVF with him. I also did acupuncture twice a week, and I think that was also effective. I did two rounds of egg retrievals with Dr. Mor. The first was a bit of a letdown, but I also think it was because my partner and I weren't in the same mental and emotional space. We had to do a lot of work on our relationship to get to the point where we were both ready to try again for another child and deal with the expense and process of IVF and what it entails. So once we got there, we tried again, and I was 41 at the time of the second egg retrieval. From that, I was able to get two healthy embryos. For some reason, I thought there would be more, and two is better than none of course, but I am a HEALTHY person. I eat clean, I work out, I do all of the things. And that's why I share the age thing with you. So we did all of the shots and implanted one embryo, which initially took, and then didn't. That was a difficult time, but then a few months later, we tried again, and now I am over halfway through my pregnancy with our second child. Things are seemingly healthy and going well, and I feel positive and thankful. And I have Dr. Mor and his team to thank. Through the money, tears, many painful shots, wild moods - it made me stronger, my relationship stronger, and I am forever grateful. IVF is not for the faint of heart, but as women, we are intrinsically strong, and we can handle a lot of sh*t and come out on the other end better for it. So if you're going through it, just know you can do it, and I hope my story is a little helpful to hear. In regard to the staff at Dr. Mor's office... They are simply phenomenal. The nurses really go on this rocky journey with you. They are there for all of the appointments, and Dr. Mor himself is a lovely human and so genuine. They all are. I get misty-eyed thinking about it. Becky, Erica and Jocelyn were the nurses I mainly worked with, and I love all of them, and Vanessa at the front desk is a gem as well. They are truly kind humans, and a story to share in regard to that, is after my miscarriage of the first embryo, I was cautious and nervous as it was an extremely traumatic experience. So we did the transfer of the second embryo, and I went in to the office to test in person after 10 days of waiting instead of testing at home first, and when the result came back as a strong positive, I screamed for joy, aggressively hugged all of the nurses that had gathered around, and a bunch of them cried with me. It was truly a memory I'll keep forever. Ultimately, this office is great, and if you're contemplating going here, I hope this helps lean you to a Yes. Our precious angel would be called up to heaven at 6wks + 3 the following month due to a complete uterine septum.
