The owner who served me had his tailor take my measurements and promised to revert to me with a quote after a visit he was making to the manufacturer in Como, Italy the following week. to check on supply. Despite several telephone calls/email I have never received the courtesy of a response. I even returned to the store early last month when I was in Vienna on a business trip but the owner was absent - his assistant asked me to leave my contact details and assured me he would be in touch. Nothing happened. A strange way to conduct business; as beautiful as the store is it's not a place to patronize. J. Andrew SMITH

No matter whether you are looking to find the right fabric for a suit or overcoat, this will be the place to go. I know that most London-based tailors don't like their customers to bring their own cloth since it takes away the revenue from buying it themselves and selling it at a higher price, but most continental European tailors are not as fussy. Jungmann & Neffe also offer a range of beautiful accessories, ties, bow ties and handkerchiefs that are hard to resist. And which other shop in Vienna offers bow ties that are not clip-on ? And I particularly loved their wonderful premises: wood-panelled walls, painted ceiling and irresistibly old-fashioned sales staff. And if you want to transform their cloths into your suits on the spot, they apparently also have a visiting tailor who will measure you up right there. Highly recommended !

The coffee was so good as well. The rooms were spacious with beautiful modern decor, beds that slept so well, and huge showers. We loved the balconies as well. The location of this hotel can't be beat--walking distance to the major museums, tram line, bus line, and two underground lines. Everything was spotless -- especially the bathroom and the bed -- which always matters most to me. Breakfast was a standout. As a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I contacted the hotel in advance and they arranged complimentary breakfast not just for my husband and me, but also for the couple traveling with us. The buffet was fantastic -- freshly cooked eggs to order, great pastries, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. One of the best hotel breakfasts we've had. The staff was warm and professional throughout our stay, and we loved stopping by the You Bar for drinks and light bites in the evenings -- perfect when you're tired or jet-lagged and don't want a full restaurant experience. The location is excellent, with most major sights just a 15-20 minute walk away. There were a few downsides. The room ran very hot in winter, which made sleeping difficult, and we had noticeable noise from a neighboring suite with children -- we could clearly hear laughing and shouting through the connecting door. The hotel did call the room after we complained, but the noise didn't stop. Luckily, the connecting door was on the sitting-room side of our suite and not the bedroom. Vienna is an expensive city, but we booked using a government/military rate and felt it was very good value given the spacious accommodations, cleanliness, service, and prime location. Overall, we'd absolutely stay here again.

There are at least a dozen seating groups of 2, 4 and 7 plus 6 seats at the bar. The bar seats are nicely padded and covered in leather. The floor seated is very comfortable, oversized, cloth fabric. The background music is pleasing and not too loud. The bar staff is attentive and helpful. They also brought out some nice bar snacks. Drinks here are priced as you would think for a hotel of this caliber. We enjoyed our time at the Imperial Bar.
