The space is straightforward. The lobby is a little bit tight if the classes packed, but generally speaking everything that you need is here and the facility is extremely clean. They have lockers that have a lock included for personal belongings. Lyons Den has been around for such a long time (longer than most studios), so I do tend to trust their teachers a lot more in the heat, and they all seem to have a really strong Teacher training background. I also received some decent hands on assists here. I do look forward to the next time I get to come here, thank you so much!

She keeps a watchful eye on everyone and calls people out in a good way ("Rachel, lean forward", "three of you stop looking at your watch"). I have come to this studio two other times and while the sequence is consistent, the experience varies based on the instructor's energy and the music they choose. Sarah is great too. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Mats and blocks are cleaned after each use. It's expensive. A drop-in class was $35 and included towels a month ago when I last visited NYC, and now it's $38 plus $5.50 towel rental fee.

I've never been in a warmer more inviting space than this studio. Everything from the smells, inspiring quotes, and vibe in the space beckons me to class here. Celeste and co have really built something special here. It's a place where I've rehabbed from injury, sickness, and sadness. It's a place where I can walk out of feeling happy and free. And most of all, it's a place where I feel that I matter and belong and no matter what my practice looks like that day, I feel good about myself. Thank you for building something so special here.

Orientation was supposed to start at a certain time,…read morebut we didn't actually start until 15-20m later due to her not having the room ready, and that cut into the class time we paid admission for. Even worse, she didn't perform a proper safety check of the room before class. There were standing metal items in the room that could have fallen on guests. In fact, right in the middle of class, something fell on top of one of the participants while they were in the middle of a yoga pose. Fortunately they were ok but it could have been a lot worse. Overall a negative experience and instead I would recommend any of the thousands of great yoga studios around NYC.
