The room featured a queen bed, a twin bed, a small kitchenette, and a clean bathroom with shower. The kitchenette had a microwave, utensils, plates, and salt and pepper. The utensils came in handy to cut up some of Australia's delicious mangoes we had bought at the supermarket. The Inn is just blocks from the main city center. Apollo Bay features a couple of grocery stores (IGA, Foodworks), a few coffee shops and cafes, and a brewhouse to grab some local beers and wines.

The B&B is on the main road and really easy to find, you can park your car on the grass in front. We were welcomed by Dee and shown our room which was incredibly spacious - a large living area, bedroom and separate bathroom which was the size of a bedroom in itself. Everything has a very classy, luxurious feel to it and was incredibly comfortable. They even told us that they would drive us to dinner at Brae, which is 5 minutes drive down the road (not really walkable!). The bathroom had a claw-foot cast iron bath which I couldn't resist, so took some time to chill out in the afternoon before dinner. It was just so nice and relaxing and to be honest, we both kind of wished we'd booked to stay an extra night to enjoy the place that bit more. In the morning we had breakfast in the dining room at 9am - mostly local produce and absolutely heavenly. There was a plate of freshly sliced tomatoes on the table which was a lovely start to breakfast and my avocado on toast with a poached egg was better than any other Melbourne food I've had in the city. There was also freshly made bread and preserves. All in all, this was an incredibly lovely place to stay and if you're dining at Brae, I'd recommend staying here. They'll drop you off for dinner and pick you up again so you can have some drinks and Chris and Dee are incredibly warm and friendly people who are incredibly passionate about the local area if you need advice on where to go. Note: Free wifi throughout. Impressive Smart TV with netflix etc. Heater, ceiling fan if you need them. Coffee, tea, water provided in the room + there's the option of ordering beers, wine or a cheese plate.

I usually attribute comfort inn to more motel style accomodation. Low expectation, overnight cos u have to sleep somewhere type of place. Although admittedly, this one seems to have a lot more care out into it. The couple managing this place obviously takes a lot of pride and keeping of the rooms. Shower was clean, the queen room has enough space for a small 2 seater sofa and a single armchair. Overall it was a pleasant stay for me and likely to return. This is definitely my pick of the accomodation in this area.

Rooms are very well appointed and looked after and the couple that run the hotel are lovely and clearly take pride in the accomodation and how things are maintained. Beyond the bed and bathroom (shower only) there was a small coffee table and a mini-fridge with drinks and snacks you could pay for. The mini-fridge came in handy to store some fruit and yogurt. Check-in was easy and the front desk attendant was friendly. Next to the front desk is the Clovelly restaurant, one of the top rated restaurants in Warrnambool. The best part of the Best Western is probably it's closeness to the downtown area. Just a few blocks away is the main downtown area with restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. The town is very cute so it's worth the stroll over.

We stayed in room #39, and had an entire floor of one of the buildings all to ourselves. Staff was exceptionally pleasant and friendly, and when we asked, steered us to visit the Tower Hill game preserve and Basalt Wines a short distance away. Office manager Raj was as delightful and friendly as could be. We had both breakfast and dinner in their restaurant twice. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is a clean and very pleasant hotel. The staff treats you like kings and queens, and you're smack-dab in the middle of a nice area. Grocery stores are a block away. You can't lose.

The colour scheme here looked to be red, white, and brown, which worked together beautifully here in this design. The room comes with two leather lounges and a leather chair next to the TV. Three modern lamps. The two beside the bed were large fancy metal lamps, which I loved. The bathroom was up to scratch with modern day features. I love a shower that's closed in with glass walls. The room wasn't overpriced at all. Perhaps for what it is it was quite reasonable. I paid $130 for the room, and it a feels good paying a tad bit extra and getting a room that's not at all dated as what some hotels can be. The only small downfall about my stay was that the bar fridge in my room sometimes made a strange clicking and clacking noise, what can be disruptive, but never mind. Overall I did enjoy my stay at the Comfort Inn Western. It's very conveniently located to local shops and restaurants, and the beach fronts.

The Room was pretty good for a mid-range Motor Inn. (The price per night was elevated bc of the time of year, but that was okay as there wouldn't be a lot of business in the cold Winter months.) The Queen bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious! The room had everything it claimed it would! The wi-fi connection in the room was some times hit and miss - but the Internet connection was hit and miss all over Port Campbell.. The balcony was the best feature of the room. (We spent loads of time on the balcony, especially on New Years Eve. We got a full view of the Fire Works @ 9:30pm and didn't have to go anywhere.) The Lock Ard Motor Inn is in the perfect position in Port Campbell. Diagonally opposite the Lock Ard Motor Inn is the beach - so a 100 metre walk and you're on sand. At the Loch Ard Motor Inn, one is situated in the middle of the scattered little gift ships and eateries. The Lock Ard Motor Inn is definitely the place to go! (Unfortunately we left it too late to book there this year, and are staying just up the road from the Loch Ard Motor Inn. We are totally disappointed with our accommodation this year, and it cost more. Luckily we love Port Campbell - enough for us to come back for the 4th year in a row, just as a little getaway for my partner and I after the craziness of Christmas!)
