He wound up being there for almost four weeks, one of which we had to pay out of pocket while I found a place for him to be closer to where I live. I don't envy these folks or the job they have to do. It takes a special person. Process wise, things were clunky. His case manager was fairly helpful for the things he could do and it was hard to tell where things were failing. During the week we paid for, I was actively trying to get all of the paperwork together so he could be accepted in the community I was moving him into. It was difficult to get everything wrapped up. The day before I was planning on leaving with him, we were still waiting for a doctor to sign the right document which they thought was done the previous week.
