I booked my stay here because it was within walking distance of the Raymond James Stadium. I'm so glad I did. It's located in a plaza full of shopping, food spots, drinks, and a cute lawn to hand around in. The lawn plays movies sometimes and has cute artwork. The plaza, building, and area are so clean. The only issue I will say about this place before saying more positive things is that it is valet parking only, AND you have to park yourself. They give you a QR code to park in the garage then pay using the code. It's an area of town with little parking right by the highway so all parking is temporary and they will tow if you stay overnight. Back to the good. It's very esthetic. The free breakfast in the morning runs from 6:30-9:30 and has so many options. They had gluten free bread! There was a lady cooking eggs and building avocado toast with tomatoes and cheese. MMMM. They had an adorable chobani yogurt bar. The pool is on the top floor. You have to walk through their very pretty restaurant to get to it. It's a basic pool but has an area to wade in the water with bubble jets. Plus there's a seat all around the pool for you to sit at with a drink because you can drink in the pool! There was a DJ playing at the restaurant playing fun 90s and 00s hits, but I would have loved if he played BTS since it was a huge weekend for them being in Tampa. The town was lit up purple for them. Every employee was so nice, so I'm not really that upset about it. The hotel is also a sustainable hotel, so they have refillable water bottles and water at the end of each hall. They had adorable messaged on the pillows teaching you how to relax and meditate. They had microwaves, a decent sized fridge, and a sink with a sponge and soap to clean dishes. I was so impressed and had a wonderful time. read more

Noise! Our suite was on the 5th floor overlooking the main drag and the NOISE was awful! Honking horns, racing vehicles, bands blasting, it was staggering. At 10:30 we called the front desk to see if there was another room we could move to because we were exhausted from a long day of traveling but nothing was available. We said how really noisy it was and she said they were having a party on the roof that would go on until at least midnight! Nothing was ever mentioned when this room was booked and nothing was mentioned when we checked in. Every guest in this hotel must've been disturbed so somebody could have a party that sounded like a rave. At midnight, it was still continuing so we got up and took a sleeping pill. Never again. The hotel is attractive and the bed was comfortable, but the noise was staggering. read more

Great location if you're looking to have things to do near your hotel or plan on venturing out around town, but they have a few strikes that would really have me consider staying here again. First, parking is valet only, as the lots nearby do not allow overnight parking. So if you're driving here, plan on that for sure. The valley was friendly and you use your phone to pay even though it doesn't tell you what the price is. Second, the pillows are sooooooo flat! These may have been the worst pillows I've ever used. When will hotels learn a great night's sleep is the best and you'll remember that in the morning. Third, the bath towels were sooooooo tiny. If y9u have a fetish of being a giant, then you can probably have a ball here pretending it's a beach towel... but wow, after drying off, my towel had no more dry spots. But the hotel has a rooftop bar which was pretty cool, a pool, and lost of things within walking distance. I don't know if I'd stay here again, but it was good for one night in Tampa. read more

We booked a wheelchair accessible suite with 2 queen beds and 1 pull out couch. We originally got a wheelchair with 2 queens but no pull out bed in the room. We inquired at front desk and were told there wasnt that room type at all at this location so we could either get the sofa bed in a non accessible room or keep the accessible room without a pull out. However, the second issue was that both beds in the accessible room were too low to the ground for transfers. So we ended up taking the non accesible room. read more

Liked the Element Tampa Midtown much better than the sister Aloft hotel that's connected. Main benefit the Element is having proper plates/cups, silverware, and microwave - this helps with healthier eating on a multiday trip. The Element's room decor is also more natural and comforting, while the Aloft is more modern. There's also more space to hang your the clothing. The shower was pretty big and bathroom was spacious and clean. The Element is more expensive than the Aloft fyi. Location is perfect in Midtown and right next to Whole Foods and several places to eat or get a drink. Be aware of overnight valet parking, which isn't cheap. For quick in and out during the day, you can self park in the free Midtown parking garage and there's usually plenty of space on the 4th floor. read more

Meh, it was ok. This is a dual Element and Aloft property. Parking in the back is only for short term parking and no overnight so you are forced to use the $40 valet which was a whiny dude who took forever to send me my valet ticket. You arrive in the ground floor in midtown Tampa with lots of fun trendy eating and drinking spots nearby. Take the elevators to the 6th floor. Two banks of elevators are tied together and serve the entire property but in the 6th floor it was not adequately signed to help you know where to go to check in for Element vs Aloft. Two separate checkins. Sort of silly but whatevs... Both people at the two check in locations almost couldn't have cared less about me as a customer. They were very put out and super friendly. Then took the elevator down to my room and after a bit of a walk got to my room. It was ok. Nothing amazing but not bad. The make the beds oddly and if you are taller you feel like they short-sheeted the beds. Elevators are keyed which means any visitors have to be retrieved which is nice in some ways but annoying in others. 10 minute drive to the airport and close to the nearby stadium add some upside as well as proximity to food and drinking spots nearby on the street level. For the price, this was ok but the service was not encouraging me to return at all. read more

I will definitely be back. I enjoyed my stay very much. I was a bit apprehensive at first with the initial encounter with staff because they were not the most welcoming. Super cooperate and cold, but my final experience with female staff member with glasses was so sweet (sorry I don't know her name). My room was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. Breakfast was located on the 6th floor by check in and they start serving around 6:30am. Some hot choices like turkey sausage and an egg choice that seemed to change daily like crepes, scrambled eggs or a frittata. There was also individually wrapped toast, muffins, pastries and bagels. There was also a parfait bar, yogurt cups and fruit. Of course coffee and a selection of juices were available as well. I appreciated the cardboard to-go boxes and paper bags that were provided to take things back to the room. I later found out that there was a rooftop pool, perhaps a sign with floors for amenities would be helpful. I really enjoyed my time in Tampa and will return soon. I will plan to stay here in the future. Happy Yelping! Parking Tip: Element Staff will tell you valet is your only option. Which is $40 a night!! They will say you will be towed if you park in the garage but it's only if you're parked on the first floor overnight. Tampa Midtown does not let you park overnight on the main grounds (the little parking lot next/behind to the hotel. Also, the parking areas next to that parking lot that have no "No Parking" signs or Tow signs also is NOT a place to park overnight. Park in the Midtown Tampa garage across from the courtyard connected to the apartments. They allow FREE overnight parking on the 3rd floor and up. Of course avoid parking in the valet spots as well as any residential spots. There are clear signs of those areas. read more

Loved this hotel. I had a one night staycation. Loved that the rooms come with a small kitchenette, dish soap, dishes, microwave, and fridge. The bathroom was cleaned and was provided with more than enough towels. The bathroom include stocked toilet paper, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion. The tv's were good quality. They allow you to sign into your streaming services, like netflix. The sheets were cleaned. We had a weird view of the parking lot, but still nice. Speaking of parking lots. CON: there's no overnight parking in what seems to be the hotels' parking lot. So I had to move my car to street parking in front of Midtown Boba. I'm not sure if overnight parking is allowed in the parking garage but hotel valet is $29, which is totally unnecessary when there's a parking lot for use. The hotel could easily give a free pass to those who have checked in, and those without passes could be towed or fines for overnight stay. There is complimentary breakfast: yogurt, coffee, cereal, muffins, and egg station. The egg station has someone cooking your eggs (any way) in front of you. The pool is so nice. wish they had some music out there but i brought my own speaker and played pool/beachy music. It is on the roof top and i'm pretty sure the pool is heated. It stays open pretty late, as well. The gate didn't really work, we had to open it from the inside. There's no shade up there, so bring a hat, sunscreen, and prepare to tan. There is pool bathrooms, too! The hotel is located by a variety of food places, like true food kitchen, bella brava, locally owned fave oronzo, ben and jerry's, and shake shack. I give the hotel 2 stars, as 1 of the 2 is strictly due to location. There are restaurants and bars you can walk to and not have to drive anywhere. There, that's the only good thing about the hotel. My review is very similar to the others. Rude check in personnel, a person named Angel specifically. He argued with me when I asked to change rooms. My Bo Voy Ambassador profile indicates furthest from elevator. I was put in a room next to the elevator AND a handicapped room. Unfortunately in all my travels I had a bad experience with handicapped room, thus have an aversion. He argued with me that Hearing Impaired room is not handicapped. It's semantics. He argued that it wasn't semantics. Good customer service wouldn't thought to prove a point with paying customer. Good customer service would've tried to see how to accommodate. I spoke to the manager the next day. She was kind and offered apologies. I did not ask for any compensation or anything extra. I shared that this may be a training /coaching opportunity for her staff. She gave me her card and indicated that next time I come to email her. I did so. No response. On this trip, they put me in a room right next to the lobby door. Thus, I can hear every person going in and out of the hallway, as I'm next to the door. Similar to being put next to an elevator. As well, the room is directly below the roof top bar. Loud music thumping until 11:30 pm. I was told when I called the front desk and the bar, that the music stops at 11 pm. Similar to other reviews, I had to ask twice at the front desk today, if I could have my room cleaned. The second time I made my request, the same person looked at me as if I never made the first request. Same person. When I came back later to my room, after making 2 request, the bed was made and new towels. Sink had stains and floor looked like crumbs. Both did not come from me. I've included pics. As other reviews, AC worked when it wanted to. Made for hot nights. I was told on one other stay that the AC units were on timers. Convenience is the only reason I stay here. After my circumstances from last visit and this one, I am going to try and find an alternative hotel. . read more

Had a special event to attend and stayed at the Element/Aloft hotel by Marriott. Awful customer service experience. Poor attitude by hotel staff. Overall a franchise hotel (owned by Shelby Hospitality Group) that is not up to Marriott standards. I have attempted for 5 days to contact the general manager Evette Torres. Each time I confirmed she was in the building but was put into her voicemail. Although messages were left that I'm calling about a poor experience, to this day she has not bothered to attempt to contact me. As a lifetime Platinum member of Marriot, I am surprised by the total disregard for trying to bring attention to an issue around a customer service experience. Poor service appears to be a systemic issue that flows from the GM all the way to the front line staff. There are better options in Tampa. My stay started off wrong. Wrong room I booked and couldn't get it corrected. No housekeeping with a 5 day stay or should I say needs to be requested, *Not even trash collection. Calling to the front desk put on hold, repeatedly for 10 minutes. Yet call from the cell phone they answer. Really!? Hot breakfast is just eggs, basically only scrambled with some options. The rest is continental. Entry way lights to room didn't work or bedside lights or kitchenette lighting. Air conditioning worked when it wanted too. Other then that my room was quiet, basic, I think overrated and overpriced. Yes there's a bar an a pool and laundry. Go from there on what's important to you for extended stay. For the price your paying you can stay in a real resort like hotel and get better amenities. read more

Traveling to Tampa with my 6 month old son for the aquarium and zoo. The hotel is located in the middle of a construction zone but still easy to find. $25 a day valet service. Valet a little slow, I'm not from the area & was hesitant about just leaving the keys in my car while they attended to other guests or just hung around inside. There is a number provided to text the attendant to have your car ready prior to leaving your room. Friendly check-in staff. I only knew checkin-in was on the 6th floor from reviews of other confused guests from previous stays. On day 2 of my stay I saw a sign posted in the elevator, not sure if that was there the previous day. Maybe posting one outside the elevator would also serve to be effective. Tried the rooftop restaurant. The bar & lounge open at 4pm, the restaurants indoor seating opens at 5pm. A little inconvenient if you wanted to do lunch in. Especially since there is no room service due to covid. The bar & outdoor seating were packed. Beautiful facility and really a vibe. I ordered food to-go. The "walk-up" section of the bar was convenient. I ordered the carne asada street tacos & the dessert duo. Food was lukewarm by the time I made it back to my room but very delicious. Dessert was bomb. I'd order it again. The pool area is beautiful. The deepest it goes is 4ft. Perfect for lounging. There were no towels however, after making a call to the front desk the maid staff brought some fairly quickly. I wish the bar area was open earlier in the day for drinks for light snacks while lounging. Room looked very clean upon initial inspection. After looking a little further, the toilet seat was not clean, the headboard looked sticky, and there was hair on the comforter. The bedding was not comfortable but not unbearable. Very comfy pillows. It was easy to connect to my Netflix account on the tv. Kitchenette is very efficient. Paper towels, dish soap, a sponge, & a small selection of silverware was provided. Spacious mini fridge. There is no where to put your soap inside the shower, major design flaw. Beautiful bathroom design overall though. I'm assuming due to covid there is no maid service performed until check out. It would have been nice to receive fresh towels though. Many reviews mentioned loud noise from the construction across the street, that was not my experience. Thin walls. You can definitely hear when other people are in their room. Ac finicky, temperature does not really stay set. I got out the bed a few times the first night to adjust the thermostat. Motion sensor lights hit or miss. Very simple continental breakfast. Coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, egg frittatas & salsa. I did not wake up early enough the following day to check the selection. I was a little disappointed they didn't at least leave the coffee out until 10am, I checked around 9:40am. Check out was simple, just drop off your keys & they email a receipt. Keycard stopped working at 12pm exactly. I can tell this is a very new hotel. Nice experience, overall, but some minor essential tweaks need to be made to consider the stay above average. read more

Screams give us a credit card&leave us alone - customers aren't valued and neither is brand loyalty. To Evette / General Manager & her management team @element midtown. I am sure there is a reasonable explanation why the elite desk has 4 cases for 1 incident .. oh bc the cases were resolved & the reason notes from the hotel that someone has spoken to me numerous times over the course of 5 months & many emails exchanged after the 2 sent in beginning! I sent 2 emails to GM & 2 to Angel and never a response - I may have called twice in the beginning leaving messages (I think Evette was OOO a few days? ) And to add even more credibility- my insurance never asked or received footage I have asked via the Elite Desk and by email a couple of times to Sean Casey, a manager with Valet. Its like the twilight zone there. Maybe youre talking with someone else who had issue with valet? Oh wait - I did call to review the footage but officer would need to come. Undoubtedly that should be a top priority for our police keeping. I invite receipts be sent to my email demonstrating efforts and dates / time and evidence of my damaged car. read more

Where to begin.... The experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and very expensive. Fine, the cost is disclosed right away. Upon check in , the woman at the front desk told us about the complimentary breakfast and rooftop pool. There was a parking lot out front, where we unloaded our cars and left it for the day. Upon return that night, we saw a small sign on the side that said "Midtown Element- no overnight parking." We went inside to ask the front desk what to do and were told "you can valet your car. There is a parking garage across the street." We moved our car to the parking garage across the street. On the way back in, we passed the valet stand. And I am glad we did. We mentioned to them that we didn't realize we couldn't park in the lot, so we moved to the deck. The men working told us we would need to request a self park pass, which might not even be approved, and it was $29 dollars. He then proceeded to tell us that valet was also $29. The prepare for check in email, confirmation email, and two women we spoke with upon arrival never disclosed that we basically had to valet, or that parking was $29. Two nights at this hotel totaled almost $600. And that was with the wedding block discount ! Breakfast was extremely dull. They had broccoli cheddar frittatas (more like tiny frittata bites,) and chicken sausage. Also oatmeal. They ran out of frittatas fast, so many of us had to wait 10 minutes for each new batch. I was hoping for more of a buffet or variety for $300/night. The room was clean, but nothing special. I would not recommend staying here, and I would never come back. read more

Disappointing stay! Had high hopes but what a let down. Started with our check in and never got better. Check in was unfriendly and awkward. Really need to work on customer service when greeting guests. After getting up to the room we realized the floor was filthy. The previous guest must have spilled vitamins because they were all over everywhere. Next noticed under the sink was filled with garbage. Went to get a glass from the cabinet and you can see the dirt and film on them. Tried to call the front desk a few times to explain all this and they wouldn't answer the phone. I'm currently staying at the Element Midtown Tampa and enjoying it so much that I need to tell folks about it. I travel a lot, spending over 100 nights in hotels each year. This Element hotel is one of my favorite places to stay and my #1 choice when I come to Tampa. I've stayed at the Westin and the JW Marriott and they're great, but I like the Element better. Here's why: It has everything I need. I don't need a bigger or fancier room. In fact when my room is bigger I feel like it's just more places for me to forget things. The staff is friendly in a very genuine and caring way (this is a big deal). The location is convenient to the airport and nestled in a mini-complex of lifestyle shops and restaurants so very good (not expensive) dining options are right there--feels like an oasis of fun and comfort. The gym is surprisingly large and well-equipped for a hotel this size. The complimentary morning breakfast (for everyone not just elite status guests) is awesome with a made-to-order egg and crepe station as well as assorted other breakfast staples. And, another great option is the Whole Foods next door and with the Element every room has a full fridge and kitchenette to cook/heat food. Anyway, bottom line is I'd highly recommend the Element Midtown whenever you travel to Tampa read more

Excellent location! Super close Uber ride from the airport and I can set up all of my meetings in Midtown. Checking in was a breeze and like coming home with Cesar at the front desk. He was super friendly, informative and made the check in process light, easy and fun! The open and functional meeting and work area was a great place to do work calls and meetings while the free breakfast was simple yet good. The room is excellent and functional for working. I like that they have a fridge and microwave, a free standing desk and a chair with side table. The location is great with walkable shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again. read more

Disappointing stay in Tampa. I travel frequently for business and an a gold Bon Voy member. For starters you cannot easily find this hotel. The address they provide on their app brings you to a Whole Foods lot in Waze. There is very little signage for the hotel in just one side of the building and not facing the Main Street. Upon arrival I was given a room that was a trek from the elevators. Upon entering I found that someone had made coffee and left the wrappers and coffee in the pot. The bedspread was covered with hair. At night there is an incredibly bright light that glows through the window and cannot be extinguished by the shade. I came to enjoy a wonderful weekend to get away from TX on my cousins birthday and to my dismay the hotel experience has been extremely disheartening. This is my 1st trip since covid and unfortunately has not been the best. The 1st day when we left during the day we came back expecting that our rooms would be clean the hotel has a policy that does not allow them to clean your room until the 3rd day if your stay so you are just suppose to put trash out in the hallways amd they puck it up. I was wondering why I saw trash by room doors as I walked to the elevators, mystery solved. As if that s not bad enough trashy hallways and unchanged sheets, you have to continually ask for more towels because they dont restock as the normally would because they dont mean rooms daily. It gets better though, so theres tons of construction around the area because they are building up the area which makes for a not so glamorous view. Due to all of the construction the hotel makes you valet ypur rental car for 25$ a day they add to your room. This is where it gets interesting today we go to valet to start our day and are advised that they cannot find our rental nor the keys. I brought this horrific concern to Jeremy Robles the dual operations manager which he asked us to sign up for bonvoy and that he would award each of us 40,000 points which was a great gesture at the beginning of the day as we started to deal with this problem. He then says it will tame 7 to 10 days to show up so we have to leave Tampa in the morning not even knowing if he truly did what he said he would. I then have to call the rental company tell them what happened. I then have to uber places now and pay for uber out of my pockets and await for them to reimburse me but what a compete and total inconvenience. Today is my cousins actual birthday so we have reservations at sugar factory at 4:30. We uber there but then get a call from the hotel valet saying that they will call a locksmith to get a replacement key made for the car. Hours lager they then says they cannot do that because they car is to new but that they will pay for this. So I have to immediately leave sugar factory in the middle of your dinner celebration once our food was delivered we had to ask them to pack it up so we could take care of this issue, another inconvenience. We go to the airport where the rental car is due and they advise they will have to charge me 250$ to replace the key at this point this is our last day in tampa and we have pretty much silent the entire day trying to rectify this is due the hotel caused. I brought this concern up with jeremy the manager and he said all he can offer is the 40,000 points which to me is not good enough fort last day in tampa my cousins birthday to me ruined. I am totally appalled once I get off the phone with jeremy and his nonchalant attitude towards what we were going through, I guess he felt his 40,000 points that we still dont see in our accounts was enough for ruining our last day in tampa. I then ask the front desk for this manager and they corporate number she said she didnt know what the corporate number was but have me Jeremy (Jj) bosses card. Inthen look at both of their cards and realize that neither card has a phone number our email address to contact them so how does one get in contact with these members of management? Justball so unprofessional. I am leavimg tampa with a very sour taste in my mouth and will never stay at this hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

I don't even know where to begin on this review!!! I planned a trip for my birthday, which I haven't celebrated in ages, so this was supposed to be something special. We get here and EVERYTHING around us is under construction! The view out of the window are a sore eye! None of this was advised on the website we booked through. We later found out the surrounding area will not be completed for about another year! So if you want a pretty view, this is not the hotel for you! We requested our room to be cleaned but they told us no, it can only be cleaned every 3 days! Which was not right! They have a kitchenette in the room, which typically has plates bowls, and utensils for 4 people. This room had 1 bowl no plates at all just saucers. Restroom couldn't be cleaned and sheets couldn't be changed. Here goes the kicker- they are a valet only hotel so you have to pay $25 a day to utilize it. The night shift was careless and we could tell by the company they kept out front. On my birthday morning we go to pick up the car rental from valet, only to find out they LOST our car key! The young man that was helping us did his very best! They couldn't find the car at first and then they finally found it but no key was in it and the doors were unlocked. The young man called the manager and the manager was upset at the young man I could hear him over the phone. Mind you, the young man was on 1st shift and the boy who lost it was on 3rd shift. He was on speaker phone and said "find the key I'm don't want to pay $750 for a new one!" But the young man looked through everything he possibly could. We then speak to the hotel manager who was nonchalant about the situation. He was a liar saying he initiated the call to the valet manager when he didn't bc we did! They told us the valet was a third party company but told use we would be billed for the parking which was great. The valet manager told use he was going to get a new key made and cover the cost plus cover the Ubers we needed to take until the locksmith showed up. Our day was looking up from all the mess we were going through. We get to my birthday reservation at "sugar factory " during the middle of dinner we received a call saying 3 locksmiths came and they couldn't replace the key! So at this point we had to have the restaurant box up our food and then Uber to the airport where our car rental was through. We spent all evening at the airport trying to rectify the situation. We had the tow company tow the car back to the airport and we had to wait until it was there to have the rental place look over the rental before they could charge us for the lost key and then dispute the chargers with the valet company. So 4 hours later we get back to the hotel room, contact the manager and explained to him that we spent the last 4 hours ourselves getting things resolved. His response was that he heard the valet manager got it resolved, which was a complete lie!! We did all of the foot work and had him on one 3 way call that didn't even end up mattering! At this point my birthday was ruined by these people and I wanted a refund- they declined it bc I booked through a 3rd party. He offered some hotel points that I could trade in... but that wasn't enough for the stress that I had to go through and the hours that we spent correcting it when they should have been the one handling it. I would NEVER visit this hotel at this location again!!!! And he has yet to add the points that were promised!! Corporate will be called! And the way the hotel manager was speaking over the phone once he was no longer face to face was horrible!!! Two managers that have no idea what they are doing is going to be the ruin of this company!! read more

Granted this hotel hasn't been opened this long but they haven't figured out basic hotel management techniques. It started from the beginning at check in. I booked 2 rooms under one reservation and when I go to check in they only had one room for me. They insisted I had only booked one room even after I showed them the confirmation email showing 2 rooms. After half an hour they found a room luckily. But what a way to start out. Then, my room only had one bar of soap to shower with and wash my hands with. In the shower there's nowhere to put the soap and shampoo. You literally have to put them on the ground. I have ZERO trash cans in the entire room including the bathroom. And for the "included" breakfast, I asked for a glass of water and they said we don't do that, you have to buy a bottle of water?!?! I'm paying $700+ per night for a room and I can't get a free glass of water? Definitely would not recommend this place unless you have absolutely no other option. read more

Right away I could tell this place was super clean! The valet guys were friendly and as soon as we checked in I was greeted with smiles and immediately felt welcomed. I feel like that initial contact let's you know a lot about how your stay will go. & of course, this place didn't disappoint! It's modern, clean, and checked off all my boxes for a go-to hotel. I'll definitely be back. The views are nice & everything is so conveniently located nearby. 10/10 for me! read more

We read the reviews but unfortunately booked out of a lack of viable options. It was bad from check in on. * The woman working the front desk flatly told me that I was not in the system. I shared my confirmation number, showed my phone with my email and mobile app confirmation. When she again insisted I did not have a reservation, I checked myself in on the app to receive a digital key in front of her. That is when she finally confirmed I did have a reservation. No apology, no remorse just pure attitude and annoyance from her. * The in room safe was already locked when we got to our room. Called the front desk, the engineer came out, can't be fixed apparently. * Room: never got cleaned, light out above kitchen sink, mini fridge on three legs, scratchy sheets & open ended duvet cover * Our parents were staying in the hotel on the 2nd floor. They received a phone call to their room around 8:30 AM Sunday morning, 6/20, from someone claiming to be the front desk needing to verify their personal & credit card information. Thankfully they're smart people, but the call had to have come from inside the hotel to dial directly to the room. Not great. * The gym is also on the 2nd floor. My mom walked by on the way back to her room & witnessed a group of valet guys laughing & taking unflattering video of a gentleman on the treadmill, obviously unbeknownst to him...complete with the worst possible commentary. This hotel is an absolute joke. Upon arrival I was told room was not ready at approx 5 pm. A while later I was able to check in and was assigned a room that was already occupied, when I went back to the front desk to explain the situation, the clerk just kept asking me if I was sure because the computer said the room was ready. After approx 15 minutes I was assigned another room. The next day I was gone the entire day for work only to return to the hotel and find my room card didn't work. I went to the front desk to explain the issue, I was immediately asked if I had luggage in the room and I told them yes as I was there all week. The clerk reprogrammed the key card and I returned to the room only to find that all of my things had been removed and someone else was now in the room. I returned to the front desk yet again to explain the situation, the first response I received from staff was, "well that's why we asked if you had luggage in your room". The staff brought my suitcase out and I had found that everything had just been thrown in it. This included someone else's curling iron as well as my beard trimmers causing hair to go everywhere. After a lot of back and forth I was finally assigned another room. Once back to my room I had to remove all items from my suitcase to clean them only to find I was missing a watch, cigarettes, and a phone charger. I then returned to the front desk to report the missing items, staff then checked lost and found but weren't able to find anything and I was told I would have to come back tomorrow. I asked the staff if there was a form to fill out or anything and I was told no, they would let management know I was coming in the morning to discuss all of the issues and missing items. The following morning I went to the front desk and not surprisingly the manager I was suppose to talk to wasn't there. The staff then got the GM for me and she had no clue about anything I was talking about. I then had to recount all of the issues during my stay and make a list of missing items and was told that she would get back with me later that day. This is the last time the GM would have any contact with me as she handed off responsibility to assistant manager. I was called later that day by the assistant manager and was told I needed to search my bag for the missing items before they could take further action as they could not find them. I told her multiple times I had taken everything out of my bag and searched thoroughly and at this point I was just going to call the police and file a theft report. This is where the tone from hotel completely changed and I was told that was my option. Shortly after that, the assistant manager called asking for specific information on the watch to have it replaced. I gave her all of the info and was told she was sending the info to corporate. When I returned to the hotel that evening I spoke with yet another manager and was given 2 options, I could be financially repaid for the watch or one could be ordered and delivered. At this point I wouldn't trust them to do anything so I asked for the money which they credited to me. When I asked about my other items the manager had no idea what I was talking about and had to call another manager, once again lack of communication. After waiting yet again, my charger had been found and I had to be compensated for the missing cigarettes. They acted as though they were doing me a favor for paying for items that disappeared due to their mismanagement.I have yet to hear anything from corporate or upper management from this hotel. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. read more

We left a note for the manager, who was unavailable  before we left, about our extremely negative experience with our cell and email and heard not a peep.  We also shared our contact information in a survey where we shared our extremely negative experience and didn't hear from anyone.  The many things that were wrong with our stay:  The room was DIRTY!  There were hairs in the bathroom, in the shower and on the toilet that were not ours.  The toilet seat was dirty, as were the night stands.  The hardware/handle on the shower door broke.  The motion detector technology kept causing the lights to shut off.  At night, the motion detector "click" woke us when we turned over in bed.  The air conditioning would not stay at the temperature we set it at, causing us to wake up throughout the evening feeling warm.  The bed linens weren't soft, to say the least. There was no shelf in the shower to hold the shampoo/soap.  There was a half filled ice tray in the freezer.  There was no hair dryer.  We were encouraged, more than once, to check out the rooftop bar, and when we arrived were told they were full and we needed a reservation.  Perhaps, with such strong encouragement, the front desk might offer to make a reservation or at least let guests know they're needed, or it can be part of the hotel reservation process.  We were offered the opportunity to change rooms as we were checking out and I wanted to speak to the manager to complain about the stay and one wasn't available, so I left a note with these full details.  I trust had we not been in a rush to leave for an engagement soon after we arrived and had the time to repack, or not been so tired when we returned, and been able to report all of this, an offer to change rooms would likely have been offered.  But, at minimum, the DIRTY environment should have NEVER happened, ESPECIALLY during a pandemic. read more
