The worst. Lots of Double-talk and they don't even make sense with their billing. it all sounds good but once they have your credit card number you'll be amazed at what you'll get charged for without explanation. We were charged just under $ 200.00 because I ordered within the 48 hours needed and paid for delivery but because THEY had to deliver a day early we were considered a RUSH order. I asked" Because YOU couldn't deliver we got charged ?!" "Yes" "I wasn't told this!" "We always explain maybe you just didn't hear" This was today when the charge came in on the card. If I'd been told this we would have picked it up ourselves. Then on the day of the event they came early and our event wasn't finished. So A&B came back the next day and then charged us double for the whole bill. 3 Bakers racks, 6 full sheet pans , 3 rack covers and 2 cheap chafing dishes cost us $1000.00. Watch your step with these people. I will never use them again. BTW they don't care if they have an unhappy customer. If you give them your card number in advance Beware. Beware of the delivery constraints. Tables/linen was delivered fine to restaurant event room and but when they came a week later it was during a busy lunch hour and was told to come back in slower period they refused and we were charged for missed pickup. Had to rent vehicle for the return on top of it. Totally unreasonable. read more

Party Party every where.... If you are in need of anything party supplies A&B well seems to have it all covered... You can't beat the location, the hours, and even most of the pricing is pretty darn good.. I come into contact with these guys at almost every wedding or private event... They just seem to be every where and while its been a year or so since I have booked a gig with them personally, Ive been involved in at least 8 or 9 events in the past year that has used them and I have helped out with, and they are easy and pleasant to deal with... They do pick up and drop off or just head down and do it all yourself... They have been around for 50 years. read more

I do not understand why the rating for A & B Party Rental is so low. I called to place my order after choosing items from the website and spoke to a representative who took my order, verified that the items were available, and emailed me a copy of my order. I called multiple times (the record shows 10, but I am sure I changed more than that) and spoke to multiple people who helped me out. If other customers were as high maintenance as I am, it gives them an excuse to not email out the order promptly. The order was delivered on time, and was picked up on time. I was missing a couple of items and there were extra forks in the order, but as I changed so many times I am sure I am more at fault than anything. The delivery guys dropped off and picked up to the floor of the corporate location I was at - I have dealt with other rental companys that simply left items on the loading dock, so this was nice! A&B partytime are amazing. The staff are very helpful and thing of things you may have missed in your order. The colour selection of linens will suit everyone's needs. I love the new glassware and all the upgrades to there serving ware. I strongly recommend them and for you to go in and see what's available to you as the selections are large but not overwhelming. I only ordered from A&B because they were closer for pick up than Pedersen's. Customer service suggested I order 1.5 times the number of glasses needed, and because you can only order a dozen at at time (unlike Pedersen's) I ended up spending more than needed. Kaching. And wasn't aware that the replacement cost for broken glasses was so high: $6.80 each for wine glasses and $5.25 each for cosmo glasses. Kaching. Nowhere on the website or contract does it say what the replacement cost is. So I wrote to the manager to say they should publish this info so people are informed / prepared. He called me and was so condescending ..."we have 1000's of items ... we couldn't possibly list all the replacement costs". And he told me the glasses were fine glassware from France (don't you know). As if! They're the same ones I have in my cupboard for $1 from IKEA. I was mostly mad because of the fact that details weren't made clear, but I gotta say, the manager's rude, condescending tone put me over the edge. I'm going back to using Pedersen's. read more

Really happy with our experience with A&B Party Rentals. We rented several tables, 18 chairs, a photo backdrop, and assorted food service items for my daughter's backyard birthday party this past weekend. The entire experience could not have gone better. Two things stood out - i) this is a very well organized and well run business, ii) the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The young man working in the warehouse was extremely efficient and courteous. He helped me to load up the tables and chairs, and he was very clear in communicating all the important details to me. Also, when I failed to read the giant sign outside the shipping area, which instructs patrons to start by going to the sales office, he didn't get bent out of shape when I walked through his warehouse. He simply pointed out the correct process, in a friendly and courteous manner. Every customer service experience should be this effortless! read more

Do not take their recommendations on a glass order... I had an event with 300 people... Of which more than expected showed... I used less that a quarter of the glasses, stemware and cups recommend for my size and type of event... No refund or compensation... The sales people got me!!! Over charged... And watch out for missing cups... The ding ya... This place wouldn't be my first choice... read more

If I could give these guys 0 stars I would. My wife and I rented a bunch of wine glasses from them for a party we threw over Christmas time. What is great about renting is that you don't have to wash before returning. Simply load them up in the tray and bring them back. $22 for 36 wine glasses sounds great right......well until you break a couple! Upon returning the glasses I notified the very pleasant guys in the warehouse that a couple had broken. They replied....oh it's OK, it wouldn't have been much of a party if you didn't have a couple break, don't worry about it!" We then received our final invoice a few days later from A & B and were horrified to see that it ballooned from $22 to $72! More than triple our original quote. They dinged us $10 for each broken wine glass - these couldn't have cost A& B more than a buck or two as they're by no means quality. They also had the nerve to charge us an additional $25 for a "cleaning fee" because on approximately 6 of the 36 wine glasses we had written our guests name in festive gold pen. This pen we had bought from a winery this past summer, it's meant for labeling glass and comes off easily in any dishwasher - actually it will even wipe off with a napkin. We know this as we even tested it on one of A & B's glasses before our party. Apparently household dishwasher will leave the glass spotless but A & B's commercial grade dishwasher won't!? When we called to query the charges their condescending manager "Dan" would hear none of it and tried to tell us that they had to manually wash each glass we sent back. He also claimed it was all of them even though only a few had the pen. He even had the nerve to say to my wife - "well if the pen comes off so easily why didn't you just clean it off yourself"? Because we pay you to clean them Dan! Needless to say, zero customer service, poor explanation or why we were charged and zero refund. Total cash grab. We certainly won't be using A & B again and I would't recommend anyone else use them either. read more

I used this company for wedding rentals (glasses, china, linens). Prior to the event they were very helpful and easy to get a hold of. I never had any difficulty updating my orders with them. I was mostly dealing with Angela and Kim during the booking stages. However after the event not all items were properly counted, by a and b, as evidenced by them forgetting a number of items and then not even noticing that they were missing from their inventory. In addition they charged us for a number of items that couldn't possibly have gone missing or broken without the catering company knowing. I know glasses break and flatware gets misplaced or thrown in the garbage by mistake but some of the items they claimed were missing were hard to believe they would just disappear. When I called to explain the situation they were super unhelpful! My caterer was able to call and they did offer to finally pick up some of the blame. But so unprofessional. If you have an option to use another company I would. read more
