Actually this place is in Sawgrass Mills right near Marshalls. I've been going here for years for…read morenails and waxing because it's close by, ok quality and reasonable price. However, after my experience last night I may have to reconsider - after all, there are a ton of nail places out there. Anyway, an important part of my story is that I recently converted MH to pedicures - it took 10 years and was not easy! He really liked it the first time - I was very surprised and pleased. I think a big part of it was the hot water soak. However, the hot water was nowhere to be found when we went at 6pm yesterday. Getting a pedicure in cold water is tolerable but definitely NOT preferable. Evidently they had run out. Don't ask me how this is possible in a business where it's so important. When I brought this up to the receptionist (and de facto manager) she blew it off. Not very customer friendly - in fact a bit combative and challenging. Not to mention that we both had the shortest pedicures there - of all the people in the chairs, it seemed like we were in and out before any of them. Plus he decided to get a manicure too just to see what it was like. Once we got out I was shocked to see I could still push the cuticles down with my nails - after all, isn't that what a manicure is for? I hate to be nit-picky (no pun intended!) but honestly! I wanted to go back and remedy this but was overruled. I may go back, but it will be to talk to the regular manager. It's ok if you happen to be by and need services urgently - as long as it's not in the evening. Not unless you're a fan of soaking in cold water.

I went into this nail salon at around 6pm as I had an hour to wait to go home. I asked for a…read moreFrench manicure. The manicurist asked me if I wanted a pedicure. I asked how long it would all take and was told 45 minutes, so figured I would go for it. I was rather upset when she told me my fingernails were too long for a manicure (?!) and chopped half of them off, leaving me with about 1.5mm of nail on each finger. Then the water in the pedicure was cold. Not nice. Next the manicurist asked me if I wanted this cheese-grater type thing on my feet, I said no, she told me I needed it and used it anyway. Finally someone came in wanted a bikini wax, so she left me mid-pedicure and went off to do the waxing. Not impressed. On to the manicure. I noticed she pulled out this odd drying machine and I said, I want regular polish ok, nothing special. She tells me it is regular polish and that this is just to dry the nails. I realise as I am looking at the nail polish bottles that this is UV drying gel nail polish, not regular polish. I ask her how do I get this off and she says just with regular nail polish remover. I was not convinced. At the end of all that I did not give her a tip. It cost $55, which I was not expecting as it was advertised around $30 outside. She looked aggrieved that I did not leave a tip. I finally left at 7.30. Yes I was there 1.5 hours. I am now one hour into trying to remove this nail polish. It is a mess. After less than one week, it peeled up from the bottom of each nail. Peeling it off damages the nail. Trying to use nail polish remover, you have to scrape and scrape to get it off. This was the worst manicure and worst service I have ever come across. I do not recommend this salon.

Naturally I returned and requested my $20 back, because the gel polish was trash. Instead, they wanted me to waste more time in their establishment by allowing the same unskilled technician to redo my nails. All I wanted was my refund and go on with my day. They said there was nothing they could do. So I said "so it's just bad service", and the guy behind the desk said "yes". Seeing their star rating now, I understand.

I arrived a few minutes early but the timing was just right because she ran the hot water in the foot spa for me while finishing her other client. I love to sit & soak while getting my shiatsu massage. The salon was clean and tidy as usual, and, they added a new drying station. As I was drying my toes, a rainstorm hit us hard in that area. I don't know how much, but in a 20 to 30-minute window of time, the parking lot quickly flood. All of a sudden, the owner surprised me with a golf-size umbrella and offered to walk me to my car. I was so taken by her kindness--who does that these days! We walked together slowly, balancing on the outer rim of the grassy median so our feet wouldn't get wet. It was awesome! Needless to say, Nail Depot in Sawgrass is great! Stay tuned...I'm letting my nails grow!

A nice lady answer the phone and she informed me that they do take walk-ins and ask what time I would like to come in and I told her pretty much as soon as possible and she told me that someone would be able to see me right away. I arrived at about 11 AM and was greeted and asked to put in my phone number and a minute later an employee came to walk me to the chair get a pedicure. I will say upon walking in the place look very nice and neat. They had a little bit of pictures and decor on the walls. Peter did my regular manicure and regular pedicure. Peter was super nice and usually employees don't make too much conversation, but Peter made me feel welcomed and comfortable and we talked pretty much throughout my whole session. It was a great experience my nails turned out great. Peter gives great leg massages. Thank you to Peter for teaching me a bit about Vietnam.

This visit I booked the Sensation Spa Pedicure with Billy and it was outstanding. It starts with an essential oil bath and a handmade exfoliation, then a 20-minute massage with oil, paraffin wax, and hot stones. They finish with a moisture cream, plus a steam eye mask and heated shoulder patch. The massage was so relaxing I almost forgot I was in a nail salon. I can't imagine getting a pedicure without it now. For my hands, Ken shaped my nails into the best coffee shape I've ever had. Both Billy and Ken were quick, detailed, and listened to exactly what I wanted. I never felt rushed when choosing my design. Derrick at the front desk deserves a shout-out too. He's upfront about pricing, so there are no surprise charges like you find at many salons. Their prices are fair for the quality you get. If you're thinking about trying Verdant, do it. Once you experience their service and the Sensation Spa Pedicure, you won't want to go anywhere else.
