Nancy's been doing my pedi's and mani's for years and simply put she's the best. Nancy also does my eyebrows and there is just no one else I will trust with them. When Nancy isn't available I ask for Kathy, shes just as great. I recently got acrylics back on and Julie, the owner, does a great job, fast and efficient and makes my nails look real. They go out of their way to make you feel special too, I recently got my nails and toes done for my wedding and they made sure everything was perfect. Ok to start off, my sister and I had an appointment for noon and we didn't get seen till about an hour later at 1pm. So that was annoying! Why even make an appointment??! I have been coming here for years, Kathy is amazing and the staff is pretty nice too! Very friendly and good work & quality. But they recently changed owners & it shows. Prices have gone up so much here & the quality just isn't the same anymore. I went in on Saturday & got dip gel done on my natural nails. Which they charged me $70 for!! I've honestly never paid that much for dip gel even with a design. By Monday, my nails were already starting to chip, and this is what my nails looked like today. I honestly like elegant nails but after this experience, I'm not too sure if I'd go back. If I were to go back, I'd only have Kathy do my nails because she's consistent and her work is worth it! I used to be a regular here, I loved it. I'm honestly a very easy to please client. Like if you do my nails they don't even have to be perfect and I love them, you're getting a bomb tip if you just TRY. I made an appointment, showed up a little early and I watched the gentleman getting set up to work on my nails, he was walking over to me to get started with all of his equipment when a regular walked in and he excitedly greeted her, put all the stuff away and began to work on her instead. I waited for 30 minutes for literally anyone to start my nails and was honestly a little confused why an appointment didn't take precedent over a random regular? I left without getting them done and I was really disappointed and low key my feelings were hurt because I'm like sitting there smiling and waiting patiently the whole time and received zero help AFTER making an appointment. I went in for a regular full set. I was then told it was $20 more then what I was initially told at the start of the appointment. I did acrylics with regular polish and they tried telling me it was $55 after they told me it was $35 when I came in. This place is a complete scam and it's absolutely ridiculous that they give you a cheaper price just to get you in the chair just to overcharge you at the end when they're done, when you have no choice but to pay. Not to mention they were talking crap about their patrons the entire time. I guess they didn't expect me to understand what they were saying but little did they know that I understand their language completely. The place is dirty and not well kept at all, and the workers there are completely disrespectful and just all out rude. They broke my skin on three different fingers causing me to bleed which based on other reviews seems to be a normal thing for this place. read more

Walked in with my sister and stood there for a few minutes without even being acknowledged. I should have walked away right then and there. Finally, a worker who was giving a pedicure asked us what we needed. Then the manager stepped in and said have a seat down at the end. There were four staff members and four clients in there. Both manicurists were too busy with their eyes glued to their screens to let us know how long it would be. After 20 minutes of not being even looked at, we walked out. Such a waste of time. Go to The Nail Center off of Erringer you get seated right away and they have plenty of lovely employees unlike this place. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. It was the most painful full set I have ever experienced and my nails look terrible! I had gone some place else but all my nails were breaking off so I tried this place and he just started drilling and ripping off my nails. I kept saying that it hurt and it wasn't until I had to tell him to please soak my nails that he did. The acrylic was all over my fingers and it was burning and he actually took a file and started filing the skin on my fingers and fingertips to get it off because it had dried. I almost started crying. Two and a half hours later it was over and I cannot begin to tell you how happy I was to get out of there. Also, I was visibly upset and there were three of them and they were all just talking and laughing amongst themselves. Hands down, worst experience at a nail salon. This was THE WORST my nails have ever looked after acrylic! They are chunky, uneven and the nail tech left acrylic all over my fingers. Not to mention, the tech was vey jerky with my hands and didn't seem to care when the took was burning my finger. You get what you pay for. I left here with an infected toe after a pedicure. The careless & unfriendly young man who was assigned to me trimmed off more skin then I have ever had removed any time I've gone to a nail salon. I didn't care that he didn't talk to me, that he rushed & didn't ask if I wanted any additional services (I even had a design pulled up on my phone but before I knew it, he already had the top coat on so I didn't even bother asking him) and even though I was unhappy with the end result I didn't want to complain or leave a bad review until I had to put shoes on & go to work.. Instantly my toe was in pain and I took off my shoe during my break to find it was red, puffy & infected. Needless to say, at that point I was pissed. I didn't want to give a negative review because these days it's harder than ever to keep a business afloat, but this young man was so careless, unprofessional and didn't seem to care or maybe doesn't even know what he was doing. I'm not sure if he cut me or if he just trimmed to far down, but after multiple Epsom salt soaks, A&D ointment, & using dental floss under the nail so that it doesn't become ingrown, I felt a strong inclination to let any other person planning to go here a heads up. I will add, that while my experience was overall terrible from start to finish, my friend had a very nice woman who seemed to take her time, took all the proper steps and my friend did not end up with an infected toe or a sub-par pedicure. I would very strongly advise that if you do go here, please for your own good avoid allowing the young man to work on you. read more

I always go here! And have had such good experiences. But this time... it was just HORRIBLE! The customer service was very disappointing. From beginning to end. The lady kept sneezing and I shouldn't be mad at that. But she sneezed without covering her mouth and fans were going. That's gross! Very unsanitary. Also while she was doing my nails, she kept walking away, and talking to her co worker and not working on my nails like she's suppose to do. Making the time go longer. But it wasn't just that, she kept cutting me. Multiple times. And didn't even apologize. When I told her I wanted to look at some colors for my nails she basically just dropped it so rudely in my hands. While I'm looking at them, another lady that works there just came by and took them away from me! As I'm looking that them! So I told her I'm not done yet. Then the lady who was doing my nails kept constantly asking "did you pick a color?" Making me feel very rushed. I didn't like that at all. So while she's close to finishing, she's painting my nails, and does a Terrible job!! Making a mess all over my hands with blue nail polish. Messy much?? Lastly i told her I wanted rhinestones. She kept pushing me not to do that and use glitter nail polish for the design. I'm paying for it. I should be able to get whatever I want done to my nails !!! NEVER EVER AGAIN IM COMING HERE!!! I received a gift card for Christmas. It's not a place I would usually get my nails done. But A gift certificate as a gift certificate. Since I didn't know the place I just asked for a regular manicure. There were three technicians working and it was close to closing time. I didn't get the technicians name who did my manicure but she was very nice and sweet and did a great job for 14 dollars. I apologize for the lengthy review BUT If you want to be judged, laughed at and talked badly about among the employees, go here. My sister and I had an appointment yesterday for 2 full sets and pedicures. We walked in and the man who we could not understand one bit pointed for us to pick a color. They sat us down for a pedicure and they started on nails first, we sat there with our feet hanging into an empty bowl for a while until they finally started filing my sister's water. I stayed there for another 10-15 minutes with nothing. They asked what pedicure service we wanted and when we said just the Basic, they immediately started talking badly about us in their own language. The only reason we know is because they were mocking us by saying what we said in English and then talking and laughing amongst themselves. The lady cut me and burned through my nail TWICE and left a bunch of acrylic build up on the underside of the nails.. I decided to get regular polish on my nails and the lady was insisting I get Gel. She was visibly upset when I said no. She painted my nails HORRIBLY and unevenly. She had the fan running so the first coat would dry before applying the next HOWEVER she had it facing the hand she was painting so the polish was getting gummy and tacky. I had to move the fan myslef to prevent it. When she finally did the top coat she didn't get all the way to the bottom nor the sides. When it was finally time to pay my sister pulled out her card and they said they prefer cash, my sister pulls out a $100 bill and they were sooo surprised and were all huddled around saying "woooow" as if they didn't expect her to have it. It was then my turn to pay and I didn't want to pay with cash so I handed them my card, they charged me $1 to use my debit card, fine no big deal. Then the lady who did my nails was ready to walk out of the door but was waiting right by me expecting her tip on the shitty job she did. Of course I still tipped her but she did not deserve it. Then they asked me if I was going to tip the guy who did my pedicure even though he had already left before I had even finished getting my nails done. My sisters nails looked super wide and her toe nails were cut WAY too short and round. read more

Not only did the owner cut me 3 TIMES, tips were glued on crooked, never said "thank you" for the tip I left (no matter how good or bad service is anywhere I go, I always still give a tip), over charged me & would not honor the coupon that I received in the mail from them (was not expired), AND dropped the cuticle nippers on the floor and try to use the same ones on me, instead of using a new sanitized pair. Don't do it. It's super dirty on the inside. The chairs have dirty towels draped across them for you to sit on. The selection of nail polish colors is also very limited. The two young people who worked on my mani and pedi were very nice but seemed like they were brand new at doing nails. The guy doing my manicure had to ask 2 different people what the hot oil manicure that was listed on their menu....and then he didn't even use the hot oil but still tried to charge me for it. read more

This place was awful. The young guy who did my nails used dirty tools, was rough, and has no skills in doing pink and white nails. They were grossly misshapen, crooked, stuck to my fingers, and uneven. I am not picky, but these nails are awful. Then he applied a gel coat without asking me and tried to charge me for it. Some of the nails are rounded, some are sharp and no matter how many times I asked him to fix them he ignored it. I will NEVER be going back there. read more

This is by far my favorite nail place in simi. I have tried a few others but none are like this one. Everyone there is also really nice and professional. I don't feel pressure with adding anything while I am there. I am only asked once what I want and that is it. Other places I feel try and pressure to upgrade certain things. I got a full set at this salon and then continued to get them filled there for a couple months. I kept hoping this lady would learn more about me and do a better job but no such luck. The nails lifted after about 4 days. My hair was constantly getting stuck in them. They would pop off and some were crooked. They did a good job on my pedicures and the staff was always really polite. But they were always pressuring me to spend more money. Even my 10 year old step daughter was pressured to get a service she didn't want. They need to chill and not be so pushy...snd get someone better with acrylics. read more
