This time around I noticed video games you can play, there was a kids playground inside, fun am sure for the kiddos & moms hoping to keep the kids from running around. Going through security was quick & easy, you can move around easily as sings are clear & easy to follow for such a busy airport it really runs well, nice & clean & at least everyone we interacted with with nice & friendly.

All in all, a decent airport that I have no issues traveling to and from in Barcelona.

Anywho we missed our flight as VAT line was crazy and we missed by mere minutes. That's okay it's on us, go early early haha because if you don't get a green check in your slips, that line is crazy and it's usually only 1 maybe 2 windows open to get your VAT stamps. So we could only get help via app/text message feature thru delta and was looking at a trip we saw in app the change flights by way of CDG to Boston. The texting took a very long time for responses but we were under impression that the agent was looking into the flight we saw in app that was available and decided to go talk to Air France (as they serviced the first flight) and try to explain the situation to the lady at the counter. She definitely didn't like us lol not sure why but anyways, she scoffed and asked for my passport, then boom handed me a boarding ticket. I asked if my agent had successfully booked my flight already with my previous points she basically threw me the pass and said next, but my GF needed a ticket still so that was purchased after. Then we head in get on the plane and bam, there was another gentlemen's with the exact same name as me on the flight. In our seats well turns out, it was his seat and AF messed up. Ofc, they blamed me for it and the AF manager yelled at me with utter attitude saying I was trying to get a free flight to Paris and stowaway. Yes like I knew there was someone with my exact name on this particular flight .. laughable he made a big scene and tried to humiliate me. The flight captain was actually very kind and understanding. He wrote a note stating there was a big mistake on AF part and it's not our fault. Either way the GF was out a ticket we got kicked off and have to try to recoup the money thru the CC company. Anyways rebooked with another airline and got home after staying another couple days to enjoy more activities. They really need to upgrade information systems, kiosks, and just have more available help to travelers.

Restroom prior to security was clean and the stalls were individual and the door had no cracks in them for anyone to peer inside. Security was pleasant. Once past security there are 2 upstairs areas with floor to ceiling windows to see outside and plenty of comfortable relaxing chairs. One is also geared for families. There is also a small children's play. There is also a souvenir/snack shop near the gates. The prices were high (normal for airports). All staff that I encountered were pleasant, professional.

Arrived at Barcelona Airport's Terminal 2 around 9 AM for an international flight, and getting…read morethrough security was a breeze! Despite a decent number of passengers, the lines moved quickly. Just scan your boarding pass, proceed through the automated gates, and put your belongings through security screening. The entire process took about 5 minutes! Once through security, there's that obligatory walk through Duty Free, because apparently Barcelona Airport has decided EVERYBODY is going shopping whether they want to or not! LOL! The terminal itself is spacious, bright, and wide open, with plenty of comfortable seating throughout. And I especially loved the lounge chairs near the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the airfield! They don't fully recline, but they do have a slight recline with a partially raised footrest, which is AMAZING when you want to stretch out and relax before your flight. And the best part? No VIP lounge access required! But, if you must, The Sala VIP Canudas lounge and a small food court are immediately to your left after exiting Duty Free. There's a nice variety of dining options, including Italian and Asian restaurants, coffee shops, Burger King, McDonald's, and one of my favorites, Pret A Manger! You'll also find several shops for last-minute purchases. One important thing to keep in mind for international travelers: If you're flying outside the Schengen Area, you'll still need to clear passport control before reaching your gate! [2nd checkpoint] So don't get too comfortable shopping, eating, or lounging around and lose track of time! Depending on the lines, you might find yourself getting in some unexpected airport cardio trying to catch your flight! And yes, there's ANOTHER obligatory [albeit smaller] Duty Free section after passport control. Apparently, they're determined to get those last few euros out of you before you leave Spain! LOL! Overall, a pretty decent airport experience! Quick security, plenty of food and shopping options, comfortable seating, and easy navigation. No complaints from me!

My first time at BCN El-Prat's Terminal 2! Normally I fly…read moreout of T1, which seems to be a lot busier and chaotic. Less shops and restaurants in here than T1 but the workers were much nicer! Easier time here in this terminal overall. Not many food options, so we ended up getting some Burger King before our flight. This terminal is definitely older but I liked that we had an easy time getting through and experienced no issues.
