There are a couple of 4 seat tables, 2 bigger ones for sort of groups. The menue is made up of several meat dishes, most importantly black angus steaks, rump-, sirloin-, t-bone- and fillets in the usual 180 - 250gram categories with a green hot or average peppers riding on it and very delicious seasoned. Served with grilled potato, salad with loads of ingredients. Also options like corncobs, or -grains with ham are available. The pricing starts at little 10euro fees for small meat dishes or huge salads towards 20 euro for the big fillet. Prices are affordable. Quality is good. Service is always around and pleasant. My recommendation for steak. I've seen lamb as special offer at our table, which looked good. The other table had the 'large' or all-you-can eat spare ribs, which also looked quite delicious. Iam gonna try these the next time.

The restaurant looked nice both inside and out but the sun was shining so we opted to dine outside. My friend suggested I try the Susländer Sauere Rippchen (short rips in a delicious gravy with some fried onions, side of green beans and perfectly cooked pan-fried potatoes with particularly tasty pieces of bacon). Wonderful! The fall-off-the-bone ribs had a wonderful crust and melt-in-your-mouth pork fat. Everything else was of equal quality. My friend had matjes which she enjoyed and we split a nice piece of cheese cake. Generous portions and very friendly service rounded off a wonderful visit to this restaurant in the sleepy town of Glückstadt. Worth the trip for this meal alone.

The house, built in the 17th century is in a very good condition and furnished in a maritime-antique style. You will find good food here in a cosy atmosphere.
