Once again I found myself in a situation when my heart told me "stay here for at least two hours and twenty five minutes" but my duties called to me. Loud. And I left :( What I managed to notice in 2 minutes: 1) The name. Looks really weird. 2) The business is seafront, with outdoors seating, views to the beach and the "mountain of Altea". 3) There was going to be live music! I only heard the musicians tuning up and the drummer drumming for a minute. Enough. I'm sure the rest of the evening was awesome. 4) A lovely bunch of people drinking beer. I don't remember when I was disappointed so much having to leave at that moment. What I found afterwards. I checked them on the internet and all they have is the Facebook page created for them by Facebook (!) and the Google Maps listing created for them by Google (!). The owners didn't even bother to claim those pages. This is a very intriguing place :))) Now they have a Yelp listing too. The name is in Dutch and it means "The Harbour Cafe". I believe the music is only on Wednesdays. All in all - I need, must and will come back no matter what. On a Wednesday.

A esto se suma que el sitio no cumple con unas condiciones mínimas de higiene. Los baños estaban sucios, con aspecto de llevar mucho tiempo sin limpieza, lo que deja en entredicho el cuidado sanitario del lugar. En resumen: trato irrespetuoso, sensación de discriminación y pésimas condiciones de limpieza. Una experiencia muy desagradable que me asegura que no volveré y que no puedo recomendar a nadie. The first set lasted only about 20 minutes, of which about 15 consisted of somewhat repetitive vocal music, but only about 5 consisted of dancing, which in any case was pretty uninspiring. The guitarist, however, was quite good. There was supposed to be a second set, but by 11:35 it had not yet begun, and the recorded music was even louder. Most unpleasant. We left, noticing that the performers seemed more interested in socializing with friends than in performing. The sight lines in the performance space were not good.

The reason is the lack of respect and common sense that personnel demonstrated to us as clients. Also the feeling that we were tricked when we received the bill contributed to the bad experience. Normally they have a live concert during the evening. They never charged for the concert, nor any charge was ever announced. But we got to pay twice for it in a way that was somehow unpleasant: once leaving tips in a hat which a woman was circulating during the concert and second in the bill we were charged extra money for the concert. No problem in paying for a nice performance, but the way they charged was a total surprise and was unpleasant. Besides this the personnel treats you with ignorance and impoliteness! Especially the girl that was attending. Also, be aware that the prices of the drinks are expensive for Alicante. In spite of this the place is really nice as a venue and interior and the artists performing are not bad. I would return only if the personnel changes the attitude (I would suggest to change the personnel) and also if the way of doing business changes (it's not professional to hide costs, charge twice for same thing, because in the end it looks deceiving and tricking).
