Very good food. My experience here today was not a good one. My waitress ignored our table. She came asked if we were ready to order, I said yes and asked for a straw She brought it amd left and never came back. Had to get someone else to take our order. So.eone else to refill my drink. Finally a different waitress came and has made my experience better. She said they were down a waitress and the first waitress has been working 5 days in a row. Easy 5 stars. El Tarasco is a family favorite that is not only consistent in flavor and service, but excels at both. While the photo is if the Chile Verde burrito that I got last, I would highly recommend d their Chicken Chipotle. It comes as a plate or a burrito and is absolutely amazing. This place is great for big groups, a casual date night, or for bringing the whole family. It's for sure my middle daughter's favorite Mexican restaurant! Excellent service , great food. The chili verde is delicious. They serve two kinds a tomatillo and the regular both are very tasty. I've never had tried this Mexican restaurant and I must say I've been missing out. Will return. Haha I've actually visited three times within two weeks that's how good it is. Decided to come for lunch on a Saturday. Initially impressed with the ambiance and the speed at which we were seated. Drinks came out quickly and order was taken efficiently. Then my husband and I sat for 30 minutes waiting for our food. My husbands plate had a nice long hair in it and the food was switched out for the Carne Asada dinner plate. My baja tacos tasted like they were fried in old oil and effectively made the fish taste off. My husband did enjoy the Carne Asada plate however two flour tortillas are hardly enough for a large plate of Carne Asada. Honestly wishing that we had cooked our own meal. read more

Great service, not great food. The chips tasted stale and the iced tea had a weird taste. They might need to change their water filter or clean the iced tea machine. Rice and beans were good, the shrimp fajitas were ok, not great. I feel like I've had much better food here, but it's been so long, I don't remember. Chile Colorado has good flavor though. Food was okay but waiter was not friendly and attentive. Ordered a margarita for me and my date. Margarita had a bad after taste and too much mix and I could not taste any tequila. We told the waiter the margarita had a bad taste and we did not want them. When bill came I had to tell him to remove charge for margarita at $10 each. First timer. Wow. What an experience. Came here Friday evening at roughly 7ish. Sat down in less than 10 mins. Service from the waiter was nothing more than average. Typical "hey how you doing ?" Nothing over the top. Stopped by once throughout the meal to see how things were going. Order a michelada. Very good ! Came with shrimp and cucumber on the rim of the cup. Delicious. I order a fajita plate and got what looked like bulgogi meat. I'll let the picture speak for itself. Never mind, the veggies were well over cooked. You can't even see them in the picture. The onions/bell peppers looked like they've been sautéed for hours. Tomato ... can't even see it ! The rice and beans were good but again nothing worth coming. I think the beans and rice from Vallarta have more flavor. My daughter order the Carne Asada plate. Her meat was burnt ! Little strips - super dark. Overall experience = not coming back. read more

Great food. We are faithful customers. Ordered fajitas mixed meats. Portions for dinner reduced to lunch. We asked waiter and he reluctantly dismissed it as we were exaggerating. We own a business and frequent travelers to the spot. Sadly, the service was subpar; delayed on main orders and left waiting on our refills for chips, salsa, water? was exaggerating. It will be good you go ask how much they charge per item served because we were ripped off and not to embarrass our guest we left instead but not again with the service and food prices they charge. This El Tarasco is awesome. I've had their lunch buffet and everything was delicious. The drink are great. My most favorite thing to eat is the menudo (only served on the weekends). The menudo is clean,great smell, good color and taste. The servers at night seem awesome, the morning help might need a bit help on friendliness but over all I enjoy this property. read more

Pico was an extra 4 bucks and had no flavor, wet burrito was extremely soggy and flavorless. Will not be back as there are better options available in this area. I've been here several times over the years..... I have no idea why I haven't ever composed a review. This is a typical Mexican food restaurant from the outside. When you get inside, it comes to life. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. Music is a nice variety of multiple styles played at a soft enough volume to not take away from conversations, but loud enough to know it's there. The dining rooms are clean and comfortable, as are the restrooms. That's no easy feat. Service is perfect. Drinks are kept full. Waitress is on the ball. The food is great. Food was not good and really hits you of how good it is not when you get your $120 bill (no alcoholic beverages ordered) for chicken mole dinner, enchiladas and Chile relleno dinner, bean rice and cheese burrito and 2 plain kid burgers. Rice and beans portion are small. Careful for the chips refill. There is a fee if you want more chips. I understand the fee but please put more than 10 chips in the basket. Chile relleno was the size of half a football but tasted like it was in the refrigerator for days and reheated. Server was nice but never came back around after we got our food to ask how everything was. I'm sure he noticed from a distance that the food was not great because we were not eating much of it. Times are hard for business I understand and I'm okay with paying higher prices on going out and supporting local restaurants but please make the food worth the money I am choosing to spend with my family to have a good dinner. read more

This food is not authentic. I'm very deceived. The staff working there are super friendly, but the food is not what the menu is listing it as what it should be. First of all, an authentic Sope (at least a Mexican one) is not one that looks like a tortilla that's cut in half, but blown up as a result of it being fried. Nonetheless, this half-a** job dish, the same dish that I would probably make back in my "trying to save money and time" college days is clearly mimicking a real authentic Mexican Sope. I also had there menudo, and any Mexican mother or grandmother that holds true to there Mexican roots will tell you that the sauce (or broth or whatever you want to call it) in the menudo is too saucy and thick. This is due to the sauce being heated and refrigerated repeatedly. "You can't get any more authentic with a Mexican indigenous tribe name like 'El Tarasco,' but if your food doesn't portray its authenticity, then don't imply it on the menu and then give your clients sopes than look no different than lunchables. If that's the case, I'll just drive my fat-*ss to wal mart." read more

Got a soft taco that I couldn't eat cause the tortilla was so soggy it fell apart instantly. Got another hard taco as replacement the meat is so bland tasted like the pre-made chicken from target. The green sauce on my miniature enchilada was so watered down had no flavor. The rice and chips were good. Oh and I ended up eating my kids cheese quesadilla 10/10 would recommend. Waited over 30 minutes for our food, for it to come back all cold. Was waiting for our waiter to come to the table, never came. I had to get up to go talk to them about our cold food. They said they were going to "heat" it up, but when she brought it back to us all cold still, nothing was warmed up. She kind of looked bothered. We asked for our check to pay the bill. Asked us if we wanted boxes because none of us ate our food we said no and they just looked at us like why. Walked to pay our bill asked the lady for a discount because it was horrible service and food was all cold, our total was 54$ and she said she gave us 25% discount when it would've brought down our total to about 40$ but no only got 4$ discount which is not even a 25% discount.
