My husband and I spent a month in Denia and while there we had lunch at this restaurant. We were treated by some friends that lived in the area and they did all of the ordering. We told our friend that we wanted to try some dishes that we wouldn't necessarily find in America and I think he did a real good job ordering. We had Alcachofas con erizo, which is artichokes with sea urchin. Neither my husband nor I really cared for this dish. I only knew that it was an artichoke, but it really didn't taste like an artichoke, I think perhaps the sea urchin over powered the artichoke. There were a few different cocas that we tried. They were all really good, but my favorite was the one with the foie gras. We had grilled calamari and it was quite good. We also had Pilotes de puchero which was basically a huge meatball in a broth with vegetables. And of course we had Paella. That was the first time I have had paella and it was quite good.......I even ate some of the octopus that was in it.....totally out of my comfort zone. I also had some Sangria and it was very good. The wait staff was always there when we needed them and they were in no way intrusive. It was a very nice experience. read more
