Food was good, chicken was the best part of our meal, but very bad experience with the restaurant itself involving our child and their high chairs here, please replace them or get rid of them our baby could have gotten seriously injured and the staff didn't seem to care.

We love it here. Food quality is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend them. It's very clean also inside if one wants to dine in.

First time here. As soon as you walk in you can smell the mesquite! They have bags of it piled up along the wall. It is clean and fresh inside. Don't let the outside fool you. This is an order at the counter type restaurant. You pick it up. The staff is polite and efficient. The atmosphere is comfy and pleasant. If you like chicken and you like mesquite, this is the place to go!!! Thank you for a great meal at a good price!

4 piece meal with rice and refried beans

My son wanted to stop by and try the chicken at El Pollo Norteño before going to the barber. I love grilled mesquite chicken so I was excited to try it out as well. The chicken was ok, it could use more mesquite and salt and I feel the chicken pieces are small. We got a four piece combo with a drink and I don't think it was worth $16. The customer service was great and there's plenty of tables. Not sure if we will be returning, but at least we finally tried it out.

I had to eat it, not wasting $13.

Chicken burrito no beans and rice. Meat was dry. Tastes like days old. Salsa was awful. $13 for a burrito smaller than my water bottle. Ok so if they aren't cooking chicken daily or infront of you, can't be called pollo. Definitely not Juan or crazy chicken.

3 piece meal.

I saw their add on the free way and I was hungry. I pulled over and said what the heck. Honestly pretty damn good food. I went before they were going to close the guy who helped me out was so welcoming. You can tell he cared about the customers. It's outside where I live by like 40 minutes but would definitely stop by again

Terrible tasting potato salad and charro beans
Eric C.

Well I ate some of it, because it was expensive delivered, but the food is absolutely terrible. Ive never eaten at an El Pollo Notero so I cannot compare, but the food at the Corona location is not fresh. The carnitas tasted old and as if they were not washed before it was cooked. The potato salad was sweet and the potatoes tasted old and rubbery. The charro beans tasted like watered down can chili beans. This was ordered through Uber eats and came out around $30. I definitely do not recommend you eat at this place.

8 piece family special with rice and beans.

Could possibly be the fanciest restaurant in Corona, but the kicker is average plate is only around $25 including seafood plates. I had the fish tacos and they were splendid. So fresh and satisfying. Every table gets chips and salsa. We opted for a few appetizers, which is very filling. You have plenty of food in your tummy with possibility of leftovers. At the end of the night. The alcoholic drinks are on par. The only one thing not on par is their flan. They can do better on the condensed milk taste. I would say it tastes more like water, The rest of their desserts are tasty and fresh. Their staff is very attentive. Management helps out too. Enough room for large parties. I would make a reservation, but my party was over 30 people. I would not go on a hot day because the AC isn't the best during a heat wave. Free parking available outdoors but plentiful. Our server was incredibly friendly and spoke to us like we'd been friends for years. She was so cool. We ended up staying for hours just enjoying the vibe of the brunch crowd and the soccer fans. Food & Drinks: LOVED! The Mimosa Flight (~$9 per drink): We shared this between two people and it comes with 8 different flavors! It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. She said it was absolutely delicious. The bathroom was clean, and I noticed they have a changing table available as well, which is always a great plus. Overall, I had a really good time eating, drinking, and talking here. It's always clean and well taken care of inside as well. Let's get to the food. My favorite here is the Al pastor. Seasoned and marinated to perfection. It's by far some of the best I've had in Cali. They were very attentive and kind. They played "Las Mañanitas" for my mom, provided a big plate for us to put our cake on since the tres leches cake I brought had spilled a bit, and were constantly communicating with us to check when we wanted to cut the cake so they could help bring out the plates and utensils. I kept asking the waiter for little things, such as whether they had a candle I could have or borrow, and never once did they make me feel like I was bothering them. They were super kind and patient with us. Food: The food was 10/10. This is coming from all of us who are used to my mom's delicious Mexican cooking. It's hard to find a Mexican restaurant that tastes this good when you grow up knowing what authentic Mexican food should taste like. My mom loved the molcajete. She even told the family that she wants us to bring her back to this restaurant to eat out again soon. Within our party, we had the fajitas, and they were not dry at all. They were juicy and tasty. Check my picture for the information. I ended up getting the 3 taco plate (2 asada and 1 carnitas) and the XL meat quesadilla with asada. The carnitas was really tender and delicious. The asada was good, but it was not my favorite. I have a thing with chewy fatty pieces and I understand it is common in lower quality cuts of flap meat. This asada had quite a few pieces I had to spit out because it was just too chewy. The refried beans were good, also not my favorite though. The quesadilla was good, I liked the grilled cheese cooked prior to folding it into the tortilla with the meat. Nice touch. That grilled cheese makes a huge difference. The next 3 taco plate had pastor, asada, and shrimp (except they actually gave me fish instead). At least my girlfriend enjoyed the fish taco as well. The tacos were loaded with meat and hard to pick up. That's the best! The pastor was tender and juicy. The fish taco was freshly fried and loaded with toppings and sauce. After paying, I asked for salsa and onions/cilantro cups so I could grab it from the salsa bar before leaving, but the lady turned around and grabbed me prepackaged salsa of each kind, bagged onion and cilantro, and limes. Super nice! Salsa were all really good! Especially the green avocado salsa. I'll come back for carnitas when I'm in the mood for tacos/quesadillas. I'll probably avoid the asada though.
