We've stayed here the last two nights before moving hotels to tour Chichen Itza.
Truly lives up to its name -- looks like a modest home outside, and like a little French baroque castle inside. The tour upon check-in took our breath away.
Tip: immediately make liberal use of the free nontoxic, citronella based mosquito repellent upon entering. So much of this paradise is outside oriented and you don't want to be uncomfortable.
We used the laundry service and day spa, both of which aided our three week visit to Mexico immensely.
The location was great for us -- close enough to walk to the downtown plaza and businesses, but on a quiet block. The sidewalks are narrow and the cars drive fast, so we walked carefully and were fine.
Free breakfast was really well done. Loved the avocado toast with poached egg. Tasty drinks in the bar.
Altogether, well worth trying out if you can find a good price for this on booking. com. read more
