The menu is standard but there are some goodies to be found and from what I can tell they do the standards well. The salsa is solid and if you're not a cilantro fan it doesn't taste as if that's present. The house-made hot sauce is delicious though--order some and mix it in with the salsa to give it a kick or if you like it really spicy, try it straight. I had the carnitas this time around and they were delicious--slow cooked, flavorful, juicy, simple and straightforward. They served them with fresh soft tortillas so I was able to assemble 3 tacos with fresh pork, guacamole (served on the platter), fresh tomatoes, and some of that house hot sauce. I also added a tamale on the side to see how they did those, and it was a larger tamale than expected but very good and slathered in red sauce AND queso. My dining partner had a very complicated and picky order and they handled her requests perfectly. The service was super-friendly--fast, kind, efficient. They checked on us often (but not overbearingly) and even provided freebies! I mentioned last time it felt like it could use a clean-up and some lighting--this time around, everything was well lit and clean, and the bathrooms were spotless.
