I order the QuesaBirria whenever I come here and it's was absolutely amazing. I've never experienced a huge crowd and the wait time is not long. The food is cooked to order, so it's usually hot and fresh. The atmosphere of the restaurant is normally calm. I can enjoy one of my favorite comfort meals inside.

Got the quesa birria tacos and a spicy pork taco. Everything was delicious, and came out quickly. Lots of tables available even with a large lunch crowd. Staff is kind and were happy to give me recommendations. Authentic Mexican spot! Affordable too.

The food here is amazing!! It's delicious, authentic, and the price is great. This was my first time trying birria tacos and they were so flavorful!! I had the shrimp and steak fajitas - the steak was super tender and the shrimp were delicious with a little spicy kick to them. I would definitely eat here again!

Came here with some friends and decided to try it out! The place looked pretty normal, a little outdated which meant that it will be good. The lady took our order and we waited about 10 mins to receive our food. (It was half full) Once I dug in the tacos were amazing, they get soggy for a while and are very greasy (car oil tacos lol!) They were great and the passion fruit water was bomb. Will be back! But next time I'll bring the TUMS!

~ First review of 2024 ~ El Indio is my favorite Mexican food chain in the Atlanta area even into 2024. Consistently delicious food, accuracy, and great value/portions. I've ordered from this location several times and only had one bad experience where the consommé with the birria tacos was just oily and no flavor. That same day the pork in the pozole was also a little undercooked and on the tough side. Every other time has been a great meal though, so this does not affect my rating. I'm sure they just had a busy day. If you have not tried birria or birriaquesa tacos yet, you're missing out! I highly recommend any of the El Indio locations. They are all great. I cannot really speak to the ambiance for this location, as I just get take out or delivery most times. However you plan to order, I'm sure there is something on the menu for you to enjoy.

Tripe taco 5/5 SO good, especially after all the toppings I added from the salsa bar. Birria quesadilla 3.5/5 it had too much meat, I know it's a weird complaint, and not enough seasoning. The consume that came with it was good and light. Workers there were very friendly.

So last night was my first time here an i give this place a 6/10 . I finally got a chance to try the birria tacos aka the car oil tacos lol it's about two other names people call it but it was definitely good. I had the birra quesadilla it was with beef that kinda looked like stew beef meat . It was big and good , it was like a big quesadilla, cut into 3 . I was also able to try a birria taco I only got one. It had the stew beef kinda meat in it as well . Everything was packed up into different containers with different kinds of sauces to try. I went around 10 o'clock at night and it was worth it a little crowded for it to be that late but people were there and it was going fast . You have the option to sit inside or to take out , I believe this is a Mexican restaurant.

I was looking for somewhere with birria tacos and found El Indio. Since then, I feel like I crave them at least every other week. This place has the best birria tacos I've ever had (not that I've had much experience with them), but I like that their menu gives you so many options as well. You could get the birria plate or birria quesadilla instead if you're not feeling tacos. I generally like to order one plate of the tacos and one of the quesadilla and split half of each with my husband. Both are so good that I can't ever decide which one I want, so we get both. The cup that they give you is so big that you could make one order and just order extra tacos and still have enough to dip with all your tacos. That's generally what we do. They also have a cart on the side that you can grab your own sauces and extra toppings. It's nice because you can grab as much as you want. Service is generally pretty fast, and they keep the place pretty clean considering this is a pretty messy meal. Just writing this review already makes me want to go back again. El Indio is definitely a must try!

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant and the food is BOMB. Got the birria tacos. It came with limes, a flavorful consommé, and three FULL tacos. I also got some salsas. Probably the best authentic Mexican tacos within a 30 minute range for me. I have Mexican taco places nearby but they don't compare with El Indio. Great prices as well! 4 Stars working on 5! We had seen from the street that this was a well frequented location. So, we decided to stop in for a late lunch ... and it was the right call! Your typical or "traditional" Mexican restaurant serves you to much food and often not fresh. Day old fair and powdered beans passed off as fresh, but when we walked in .. we saw the staff actually prepping the Carne Asado and let me tell you, as a taco, it was amazing. These aren't the over stuffed and over dressed tacos most Americans are accustomed to. These were traditional street tacos sold on fresh small Dbl stacked tortillas with a little fresh onion and cilantro. I had (5) diff tacos ranging from $1.35-$1.85 a taco. We also had a flautas plate which came with rice/beans and salad. All fresh, even the beans. They have a set menu of 33 dishes, and this is the spot till we try most, if not all. The food here was great and authentically Mexican. I had the Caldo De Res and Carne Asada and it was phenomenal. I also got the opportunity to try the Posole de Puerco and it was equally delicious. I would highly recommend. read more

I will say this. The food is dressed nice. It definitely has the potential but it is very bland tasting. I've tried you guys out twice and got the same results. Almost like no seasoning and even when using the soups for dip there is no flavor to it. I've tried the beef and seafood Burria tacos. It's just not quite there on the taste but again it does have potential. I am willing to try once more and i am going to ask for extra seasoning or something to make it better. read more

went with my husband here to get a quick bite since we were in the mood for some tacos. He had gotten birria tacos and i got regular ones. needless to say, the food was not bad, it was somewhat underwhelming. It's fairly pricey for what you get as my husband paid $40 for tacos. The setting inside the wasn't awful, but have fun cramming yourself into the booths with an inch of wiggle room between your body and the table. read more

Me and my best friend went here and were disappointed!! We have had birria before and it tasted way better than this. The side sauces are extremely tiny and they only give one per 3 tacos and they charge 25c for any extra sauces! Our birria sauce had NOTHING inside of it. The tacos had zero flavor and there was no cilantro or onions in the taco! I give these birria tacos a 5/10 do not recommend! The wait wasn't that long and the meet was juicy but that's the only thing that was good about this meal! Also the corn tortillas were not good. read more

Not a good stop to eat even know I was very hungry wasn't worth the money. I had the steak quesadilla and a sope de chorizo all the meat was burn and had a lot sal was def nasty and the place was dirty as well. Not going back for sure. read more

Small taqueria at the end of a strip mall at the busy intersection of beaver ruin near I-85. Ordering was quick and pickup was easy. Staff was friendly. My food was okay. The birria tacos looked amazing but lacked the deep rich flavor you'd come to expect. The portion size was plentiful and will surely fill you up. Just needs a lot more of the sauces that are offered on the side to give it that oomph it needs! read more

Pretty great steak! Cooked and seared perfectly! Customer service is great, I recommend trying the horchata, I love it. It's a good experience and great atmosphere to try different foods if your use to normal American food. Step out your comfort zone and go get some authentic Hispanic food ! read more

Worst steak tacos I've ever had. They are as bad as the stewed steak tacos at Don Pedro on Buford Hwy. the steak was pan fried and oily. The tortillas are too sweet and the tacos as a whole are bite sized. Will not be back. No where compares to Buzy Burrito on PIB at Winter Chapel. They know whats up when it comes to tacos! read more

I do not like boiled chicken on my tacos. That ruined it immediately. Makes your tacos taste like your eating chicken soup.... I would recommend a flat top... limited sauce choices and side items at salsa station. The tortillas are good as well as the price. read more

So far I have had the burrito plate and the torta. Both are excellent. I think that the thing to get here id the sopa pollo, posole, or menudo; none of which I have tried yet. The Barría tacos con consumé were AMAZING. I love coming here for this staple item. Service was alright. The only negative feedback is that costumer mask wearing isn't enforced at all, so there were many people coming in and out without masks. read more

leave the food. it's not worth it. no covid precautions being taken here. literally nobody was wearing masks and tables were not separated to keep social distancing. everyone sat so closely to one another and no tables outside. don't come here until covid is over... i felt very uncomfortable. read more

Everything I had was great here! Sopes con Pollo, Pastor and Chorizo Tacos, and Tostados de ceviche cameron. Very fresh, flavorful, and a great value. Also, the fresh salsa bar is great; love the escabeche and they have some of the best salsa I've bad. read more

The birria tacos were kinda overpriced but that's fine. What is not fine is the service by a lady by the name of GRIS. I walked up because she told me to but then proceeded to give me attitude and said she wasn't ready in the rudest way possible. Food was tasty and well-seasoned but your online menu needs more details on ingredients. We assumed your quesadilla's had no meat in them thus when delivered 2/4 people in our household who are vegetarian could not eat them because they had meat in them. The food came out fast very fast! I was nervous how fast it came thinking it was pre cooked. It was not. The food was phenomenal tradition Mexican. The spices and sauces used were amazing. We had enough to take home and have it for a second dinner while we were in town. Seating inside and outside. On the back deck people were enjoying food and it was dog friendly. We would 100% recommend.

I love going to the independent local places, where you don't get the watered-down Tex-Mex items. I should have gotten the Birria Quesa Tacos but I went with the tried and true Carne Asada, let me tell you everything is made to order so you may have to wait a bit before you get your food but that's fine you know it's fresh. Don't make my mistake and go there hungry and have to wait for your food. The great smells, seeing people walk up and get their stuff you are consonantly second guessing what you ordered. Everything looks so good it's like "man, I should have gotten that, or I should have gotten that!". My food came out and it came with rice and beans. Fresh authentic Mexican food! Tacos ,sopes, mulitas, quesadillas, burritos, carne asada, pollo asado, caldo de res, menudo,pozole!!! And so much more! They have a salsa bar with 4 different salsas , fresh limes, diced radishes, freshly made pickled carrots with jalapeños , and sliced onions with habanero (hot). Best tacos In town :) read more

The food it's alright! Although the service is kind of do-it-yourself, you don't get much besides someone taking your order and giving you a number, you pick up your plate and munch! It's an okay fast place for lunch not too expensive, not too much to expect, I do recommend the mulitas which are very authentic. read more
