Where do I begin? When I found out that there is a heavy influence of the Chinese in Peru, I was already sold! And the kind owners of this establishment were the ones to enlighten me. Have had a couple traditional dishes here which were amazing. But the main selling dish for my family and I is the Arroyo Chaufa. How moist yet not soggy texture of the ride along w the flavors within the rice is indescribable. And to add the cherry on top, you MUST have this with the special yellow sauce they have. Again, I was trying to decipher what the sauce consists of but can't pinpoint it whether it's mayonnaise or mustard based. MUST have with the fried rice. I usually need 2 togo cups of sauce for each serving. We've loved this dish and place so much that we have designated Tuesday as Peruvian Fried Rice day and look forward to it every week! I have been coming to this spot pre covid so I went back and was very disappointed. Not only the service took a long time and the place was empty, but I got the breakfast combo which used to be $12 pre covid and now was $19!!! Compared to other Peruvian restaurants this is outrageous. And I wouldn't complain if it was good but it wasn't. Also no one bothered to clean under the table or sanitize. We were seated pretty quickly and they took our order quick. The food was pretty good! I will tell you this much that the plates are not huge like your typical peruvian restaurants, but the taste is amaze-balls!!! I ordered the seafood cau cau and it was delicious. Ok, so let me start by saying.....most authentic Peruvian place yet. Now I know what the typical Peruvian places look like and should be serving but this place is closest to authentic as it gets. Food- The food here is fresh, quickly made, and very tasty. I got their typical pollo (chicken) saltado and it was real good. The portions weren't as big as other places I have been to but still filling. I also tried their Cau Cau de Mariscos ( seafood ) and that was very different and surprisingly tasty. They told us about their specials of the day but I passed on it, and later saw what it was, and regretted it because it looked real good. Location- The restaurant is located inside a large plaza so parking is not an issue. Its a very small location with about 8 tables which would sit total of 40 people I am guessing. We went on a not so busy time so we were sat down rather quickly. Staff- The staff here was real real nice and attentive. The lady answered our many many questions and was helpful in deciding what to get. Again, this place seemed like the most authentic place to eat at for Peruvian food so we had plenty of questions. Overall this place really surprised me and the family. If in this area I will definitely visit again. I would recommend trying any of their specials, seems like its a good choice to go with. Also try their authentic juices, I got the Maracuya ( passion fruit) and it was really good. I will be back soon! P.S. I would usually passby this restaurant whenever I buy my boba , so for a change tonight i stepped in this Peruvian restaurant to try their specialty. The restaurant was empty for a dinner time, but a friendly face came out of the kitchen and asked for my order. I asked if there was one item in the menu that he would recommend, what would it be.. And he recommended the Pollo a la brasa. Pollo a la brasa, is also known as blackened chicken or rotisserie chicken . It is a common dish of Peruvian cuisine and is said to be one of the most consumed in Peru. As you can see in the photo I posted, I just ordered the smallest portion ,wasnt sure if Ill like it . So when I got home i was excited to try my order. The two sides are just ok..the salad is ok though its weird because I thought the dressing was also Peruvian....was wrong it was just plain ranch dressing. But the chicken with yellow sauce did not disappoint. The chicken is both juicy and flavorful. I just think for $7 the serving is too small. read more

The food is decent, not justified for the price. I never walk out spending less than $20 for take out. The ingredients or food aren't that special. It just doesn't make sense to be charging as much as they do. Also when I went today there was a guy touching the pick up orders. At first I thought he worked there but he didn't. The restaurant is located in a plaza, it's a little strange that the sign outside says "Peruvian Cuisine" instead of "El Incomparable". The service is very friendly and welcomes you as soon as you get in, there is only like 8 tables so it gets pack at rush hours. The menu has a lot of variety and the food is actually good. I've eaten the "Tacu Tacu with Lomito" and it was juicy and flavourful, my cons were the quantity (to small for me) and the lack of "Salsa Criolla" (onion, parsley and lime). I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. This restaurant is a lot better than Bonano's or Pollo Listo. read more

What a pleasant surprise. I don't usually like going to new places when I'm in a rush for lunch, but this was a great decision. The inside is pretty small, so you have to get there expecting to wait unless you're lucky enough to snag a table. (We were lucky and got a table.) The staff was extremely kind and attentive. They really wanted to make sure you enjoyed your experience. We started with the fish ceviche which came with some sweet potatoes. It was very tasty. All the items were extremely authentic and delicious. After that we followed it up with the go-to Peruvian dish lomo saltado. The delicious mix of steak chunks, onions, tomatoes, rice and french fries. It was made to order and absolutely scrumptious. Definitely ask for the spicy green salsa for that extra kick and you won't be sorry. Besides feeling insanely full afterwards, I will absolutely be back to try something else. I live about two minutes away and never tried it until a friend from out of town said it was so good and wanted to have lunch here. I'm always up for trying new things so I was game. I honestly didn't know much about Peruvian food. The menu seems kind of overwhelming, but if you look closely, you notice that it's the same dish but with different meats or meat combinations. The first time I went, my group shared the saltado dish. Kind of like a stir fry with your choice of meat and veggies in a thick gravy sauce. It comes with rice as well. It was very flavorful, that's for sure. Kind of on the salty side. We also got ceviche. I think it was tilapia. There was some corn nuts and some kind of kernal (maybe maize?) in it. This ceviche was awesome. So salty and sour from the lime. Perfect summer dish in my opinion. I only wish they served it with some chips or tostadas. They only gave the fish. We also got two of their Peruvian drinks. One was a passion fruit drink and another was dark purple. I forgot what it was made of but it had a light cinnamon taste to it. I spent a total of 30 minutes waiting to be seated and to order. When I walked up to the counter to ask for a to-go box, the server spent a minute typing on the tablet in front of me before giving me a box which was stored on the counter in front of her! 3) The food, which was sub-par, was not worth the wait. So badly wanted to give this place a 4 but settled for a 3.5 and rounded down. Why? Lomo Saltado was pretty good but not fantastic. The steak in the dish was good and if I go back, I'd probably just order the lomo saltado. My wife and I also ordered the Papa a la Huancaína as an appetizer. Although the server forgot to put the order in for us (this neglect did not impact my score because it seemed atypical and the server was pretty responsive to everything else), it did not taste very good. I usually love this dish but I must say that the sauce was off for my taste; it had an after taste that was noticeable from the beginning of the bite if that makes any sense. My wife was not a fan of the sauce as well. Regardless, we ended up having a few bites of it and left it alone. I was a bit surprised that we were still charged for the item since it didn't arrive until we we were both 75 percent done with our main entree. Overall, this dish really was a strong factor in rounding down my rating for the restaurant to a 3 rather than rounding up to a 4. Overall, the restaurant sits in a shopping center with lots of parking. The restaurant is clean with an A rating and small (but roomy). There are 2 television sets that show sports and a customer bathroom. My family has been multiple times, so I finally tried it and was not disappointed! We are Peruvian so we are always on the look out for good Peruvian food that makes us feel like grandma's cooking. The restaurant was clean, simple Peruvian decor, and friendly service. I got the Tallarin Verde with Bistec. To my surprise it came with a small side of papa la huancaina and a large serving of steak. The steak was so well seasoned and even though I asked for well done, it was still very juicy. I went to this restaurant for the first time with my son. The restaurant is small and well put together... the presentation of the food was nice and so was the service, our waitress was Colombian. They have an open kitchen so I was able to see while they cooked. We ordered a Mariscos Ceviche as an appetizer and Lomo Saltado. I can say the Ceviche was better than the Lomo Saltado. The Lomo Saltado lacked flavor and sauce; therefore, the fries were kind of dry. There are so many Peruvian restaurant choices in the SF Valley so I don't think I'll go back. read more

We have 2 guys here that will not step out of the box... but, consistently the Cau Cau Pollo never disappoints! I've tasted some of it out of curiosity and it IS good! But if you like Ceviche... You MUST get the Ceviche Mixto! And everything else I've tried is delicious as well so far. (One time we did get a grilled chicken dish that was a little dry. We wrote that off. Found this place through Yelp and I'm very glad I did! Another great find. Thank you fellow yelpers! The restaurant is located in a strip mall near Albertsons grocery store. Admitingly I was surprised by the hole in the wall standing of this place but don't let that fool you, the food here is delicious. I came here with my BF yesterday and I'm still thinking about what I want to get next time I come here it was that good! Service was great very prompt. Our waitress was very friendly. This was our first time eating Peruvian food and we kept showing her pictures off Yelp. She was very patient and accommodating. Apparently many people use the pictures on here as a guide in what to order lol the only draw back is that there are specials that are only available on the weekends but that just makes me want to comeback and try them when they're available so I guess their marketing is working lol Everything here is fresh and made to order. We started off the meal with an appetizer. I forget what it was called (huacain I think?) but it was some type of potatoes with a yellow sauce that looked like hollandaise sauce but tasted much better. We devoured it in seconds. I was surprised at how good it was. For the main courses we got the lomo Saltado and the jalea. Both were very good and flavorful. I liked the jalea better but the lomo was still good. The seafood here is really good and fresh. I think it's the highlight of this restaurant. We also got some sort of ceviche muscles which were excellent. Just the right amount of lemon flavor. After dinner we got a dessert recommended by our waitress lucama ice cream with this really good cake so good! This place was good! We were going to go to the Peruvian place closer to Pump's house but then since this place popped up under the hot and new on yelp we decided to give this place a try instead! It's located in the strip mall on Sherman Way at Roscoe (where the Albertsons is!) and they don't have their sign up yet but do have a banner so be on the lookout for that! I've only had Peruvian food a handful of times and some dishes that my dad cooks, albeit not very many. The service was great! Our waiter explained the menu to us and we picked our dishes! I had a glass of the passion fruit juice! So delicious!! Yum! Pump had the purple corn drink! It reminds me of Thanksgiving/harvest/fall. I know that's crazy but that's how I felt drinking it! The meat itself was such high quality. It was very buttery and it wasn't chewy at all. It was delicious! Melt in your mouth goodness! Pump had the ceviche and he said it was also good!
