4 stars for being one of the few places in Toulouse where you can get tacos that are pretty decent…read more Having come from San Francisco where there's a lot of authentic Mexican food, this place would get 2.5-3 stars, but given that it's Toulouse, and you can't get decent tacos almost anywhere else, I'd give this 4 stars. For dinner, I would probably give this 3.5 stars since the prices are a little elevated for what you get, but the lunch menu is pretty good at just 10€. For lunch, you can get 3 tacos of the same meat, rice, beans and a soda, for 9,90€, or 3 tacos of the same meat, rice, beans and a quesadilla for 9,90€. The meat choices are 3 types of pork (chorizo, al pastor, or carnitas), chicken mole, beef, or you can get vegetarian. The beans are black beans and flavorful and they were out of rice but I've heard it's pretty good. The owner was super nice and gave us an extra quesadilla in lieu of the rice when he ran out. I found the chicken mole to be a little strange and slightly pumpkin in taste. The tacos are served in corn tortillas but don't have anything else other than meat. It would be nice if they had some cilantro, onions and/or cheese. The quesadilla is made with a flour tortilla and with cheese, and was actually good when you eat it piping hot. I liked the black beans - they were flavorful and the texture was good - not too mushy. All in all, good place to come for lunch if you're craving tacos and can get the weekday deal. I don't think I would come here for dinner, I think La Sandia may beat it in terms of flavor/sauces, but this is a cheap and filling option for lunch if you're searching for Mexican food.

Decided to try it for a break from our packed lunches. Quick service and the servers were friendly enough. Helped us move two tables together, politely enquired where we were from, how long we were staying, etc. Being Texans ourselves, we were sorely disappointed by the limited menu - only quesadillas and burritos - and them offering bland fries instead of chips with guacamole, queso, or salsa. Really..that's just borderline blasphemous. Limited seating. If you must, take it to-go, and find a nice nearby park (Jardin des Plantes is great). Honestly not that bad, there were a fair amount of customers, despite there being a more traditional French brasserie right next door. Kudos to their advertising strategy. But it just wasn't authentic enough for us Texans. So lesson learned: when in France, stick with French food.

I have often contemplated on stopping my indulgence due to the accompanied inconvenience, however, I keep finding myself here! The burgers are the best I have tasted in Toulouse! The fries that come along are sublimely divine! I know I'm a nobody but this joint gets a 5 star rating for their burgers alone. It is simply that good. However I do see this place putting off a lot of people because frankly they are simply way too small (2 people) with people queueing forever to dig into those succulent burgers. You would think you almost were transported to Italy with this pizza, it's super fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced. The portions are huge, and we got the entire slab of pizza for 2 people, with 3 different flavors, and it was too much pizza. Next time, I'd probably go with a half slab for 2 people, unless you want leftovers to take home. You can order an entire pizza (€20) half a pizza (€10), or get it to by the weight to go (€28/kg). We opted for 3 flavors: truffle cream with mushrooms, rugby (with a few different kinds of meat), and a bresola and arugula pizza. My favorite one was the truffle cream and the rugby one. The bresola meat was not as thinly sliced as I would have liked, but it was still tasty with the arugula. The rugby and the bresola flavors had tomato sauce, and the truffle cream one did not. The crust was nice - not too thin; not too thick and was crisp on the bottom and the outer crust was chewy and soft. They have seats downstairs too, so don't be discouraged when you walk in and only see 4 small tables on the top floor. Lots of variety here for pizza, good selection of Italian wines by the glass or bottle, and overall a great experience. Don't come with a group bigger than 4, since the tables are fairly small and it will be hard to find enough space. I'd definitely come back here and recommend it if you're looking for a good pizza an are hungry!
