Fantastic place: an old country house, with a cava in the basement…read more Superb food; visited twice and in both instances I left feeling very satisfied. Service is ok; they only had one waiter (both times) for many tables, thus it took forever just to order. Once the order is placed, one is guided to the cava, where they offer sampling of wines, accompanied by charcuterie and bread made in-house (just wonderful). Excellent wine selection and desserts. The food is very well prepared and presented; everything fresh.

Visited here on Monday, May 7th 2018. The physical space is very cool. We sat where we could watch…read morethe chef and his staff prepare the food. Downstairs, there is a wine cave where a gentlemen lets you taste the house wine, and a selection of meats and cheeses. This was really, really neat! The wine we had was excellent - Gran Siesta en el Tahuantinsuyu. A full-bodied, throaty blend. I was disappointed in the food. My meat was good, but others commented that their steaks were very tough. I was REALLY disappointed in the mashed potatoes, which were mildly warmed up on the outside and refrigerator cold on the inside. Terrible. I wasn't even mad they came out of a plastic bag as the taste was good. It's just like, okay, come on chef, I get it, you don't like hunter/gringos, but no need to be a jerk. Frankly, I think part of this was that we were gringos; which is fine, I get it. I witnessed the chef's visual annoyance that two guys at our table had ball caps on. And honestly, he had a point in being annoyed, but no need to just give up on providing a nice meal that we paid for. If you're a local, you'll probably love this place. Or foreigners who stick to the dress code. But if you're like me and bring some friends who are not accustomed to fine dining, you may have a bad time. (And that's no fault of the host, in my opinion, who was extremely friendly). All in all, 3 stars. The great wine selection and the cool cave are worth the visit.

I have mixed feelings about this place. My first time here was for a pre-birthday brunch and my…read morefriend and I split the pancakes and I ordered the tortilla. The pancakes were delicious - especially because I've been missing them when traveling. But my tortilla took a really long time to come, basically to the point where everyone was done eating already. However, once it did arrive it was amazing and everyone wished they had ordered it. I came back another day for lunch and the service was very slow. I got a wrap and it was good, but nothing to write home about. The last visit was the worst. My friend and I both ordered the tortilla because I had raved about how good it was. This time it took even longer to get our food and there weren't even many people around. When we finally got them, they were burned.
