A great lunch spot in the middle of the hustle and bustle in Madrid! When visiting Plaza Mayor, we saw everyone eating what seemed to be calamari sandwiches and that sent us searching to find one! We saw a photo of one on the outside of El Fontàn and got so excited! My husband ordered that and the Spanish potato salad (has tuna!) and I got a tomato salad and their potato and onion egg bake (similar to a quiche). Portions were LARGE and the food was so fresh! The service was very friendly and they even bring mini empanadas when you sit down. Such a night touch! Their menu has a ton of options that are authentic to Spain...there is sure to be something for everyone. We'd come back! read more
