Cupcakes are supposed to be light, fluffy and moist. This was hard as a brick. Why would you sell this to a customer? When an 8 year old won't even eat it...... Should I also mention taking cash and working the cash register and then touching food without washing hands or gloves? Unsanitary Childhood memories destroyed.

The premade cakes in the display are not priced and when you ask questions the staff seem bothered. The bakery is very mediocre but convenient when you live nearby. I picked up a Nutella cake for my husbands bday and a napoleon and pecan bar. They go heavy on the almond flavor so the cake was a bit overpowering - I didn't like the cake at all. The next night we had more than half the cake left and we decided to have a little bit of each dessert I bought the day before (the napolien piece and pecan bar and cake) keep in mind nothing was left out, it was refrigerated right away. Well we both spit out the napolien it was spoiled and the cake tasted rancid also. The pecan bar was ok but c'mon for all that money it didn't last more than one night? Makes me think these items were not fresh. Any other bday cake I've had lasts a few days after cutting into it. I give it two stars because their donuts and some treats are good but after this last visit I won't be back even though I live close by and it was convenient. Although I want to support my local bakery I just can't anymore.

Their pastries are top notch, both in ingredient and aesthetics, but beyond that I am most impressed with the customer service at this location. They stand behind excellence and ensure customer satisfaction, and it shows in their demeanor and action when something is not 100% up to par. If you're looking for something delicious and beautiful, or a piece of cake, tart, or mousse that will impress, this is your place! It's worth every penny!

And now an even closer location in Plainview! Pretty soon they're gonna open one right in my backyard or something haha. It is a lovely spot for authentic French-inspired pastries and coffee. I've had everything here including cupcakes, brownies, croissants, macarons, cookies, madelines, etc. I've also come here to get a small cake for special occasions. It is also a very nice place to come with friends and enjoy a coffee and pastries. The elegant, pristine interior with marble accents and beautiful displays creates a welcoming Parisian vibe. Perfect for a quick treat or relaxed sit-down. I love the cookies here, they're soft and chewy unlike the Plainview FWS I always leave with a giant bag of 5 of every different flavor of cookie(chocolate chip, nutella, oreo, pistachio, etc) because the texture is so soft and smooth. My new obsession is the fruits of the forest cake. So delicious! Its a must try!!! It gets packed in here, but the line moves quickly! If you haven't tried FWS yet, what are you waiting for?
